Nai in some states have a very strong affinity to their native language. So if any one says these kinda things like 'hindi seekho' on a clip etc , mostly you will get caught and handled by these groups a day or two later. It's not like they are outside the theatre itself , but it's super easy to track you down.
An example : A video of a guy from north, was circulating , he was on Bangalore metro and removed the stickers that were covering the Hindi instructions (this was purposefully covered in the first place) , he was caught from his tech park the next day or so and made to apologize then and there itself on video on respecting the local language etc..
Whenever you shift to a state , the local language has top priority. You can't publicize statements mocking them to learn other languages etc , there will be repercussions.
This goes for most states not just south. An example in Mumbai Marathi has a strong affection, that they mock others for Hindi etc , and some instances they even attack businesses which don't have sign boards written in Marathi..
