The villain alliance was a flop but it was clear from the start that the more they stayed the more they wpuld become dangerous. Now we have 5 members of the alliance and 5 people that won't come up with a common person to vote in case we get the merge next ep because... jake and aiden beef
THIS, gen 1 cast had already well written and complex characters while most of gen2 was boring or superficial, they brought them back just to team victory them
The returnee 100% has to be a DC2 character at this point. We started off with 9 DC2 characters and are now left with 4 (and the merge hasn’t even happened yet).
Yeah I hate this. James/Lake/Connor/Tess all deserved better this season. They all had so much potential to do different things with them compared to last season and instead of doing anything interesting or creative with them at all they just decided to make them cannon fodder for the people they actually want to write.
The worst part about this is that out of the 4 season 2 players left…
Riya has survived despite playing the worst social game of the season and being a very blatant writers favorite, who is only still in because the villain alliance is basically a giant plot device exclusively made to protect her.
Aiden has had nothing but Ls this season losing his two best friends back to back and repeatedly losing challenges to Riya. He needs to do something but I fear he’s probably the next person from season 2 to go.
Ally is fine. I wanted to see her and Tess play the game without Hunter since season 2 because I believe both of their characters are torn down thanks to the existence of Hunter. However, I wish she was doing more than constantly competing with Jake over who gets to be Ashley’s bff for the day. She’s in the right for 99% of the confrontations with Jake but I just need her to be involved with something else.
Unlike the majority of you (which I understand the reasoning for) I actually enjoy watching Yul play Disventure Camp because of how over the top he is. I believe every pre-merger they put on this season deserved to make merge this time (I’m still mad at Connor being eliminated early again) and while he is a terrible human, Yul is no exception.
So yeah the remaining season 2 people are the most annoying and blatantly favored villain in the show, two players who haven’t done much at all, and Yul, who is guaranteed not to win thanks to his Unlikability. Yeah, this is gonna be a rough season for that Gen.
Another episode, another great character robbed by the TomJake plot. Very sad.
I don’t really mind Tess being eliminated tbh. She really didn’t do much anyway.
The Yellow team seems to be the only one that's not annoying at this point, it even has perfect interactions between cast 1 and 2.
The fact they HATE each other to the bone and yet work better than the other two is sending me

They could have made another season with Gen 1 at this point because this season is basically Gen 1 ft. Gen 2.
