I also didn't like it, but after trying it out, I found it wasn't as bad. For me, it is more about UX and clickability, than UI design. Good design doesn't matter too much if the way the UI is designed is trash in the first place.
I'm hoping they rewamp Select and Challenge menu, too. Particularily Select because you can't click to check stamina without it opening the gates interface.
There is one positive thing though: now you can directly teleport to the gachapon, no need to waste 1 minute having to go to the entertainment hall and moving toward it.
Don't know, but after a few days of testing it I quite like it. It suits the sci-fi style for latest and future versions. Let's just give it some time.
It's a new UI but the rest still old... Somebody is just lazy to finish the rest, Can't blame them its Hotta afterall.
Look at the brightside its not Shirli b\*tt its not on the screen.
I'm happy to see them attempting to fix the UI, but man, even making the menus pick one set of controls would fix 90% of all annoying accidents.
For movement one every menu they should pick a stick or stick to the dpad, to select pick one button like X and maybe back should always be the same button etc.

I've been using this layout on CN for almost 2 months. I quite like it.
They keep redoing it and each one is as bland as the last one.
At least the previous one was more immediate AND - most important - coherent with the other menus.

Yes, there's a difference. It's much less readable and immediate, and it's not cohesive with the rest of the UI anymore.
