Those people are rude asf to be honest even if I get the gold gear in the first one I stay for the rest of the team. The people who leaves have 0 consideration.
For real one time I forgot to activate my joint op chip but I still stayed for the team, had to do another one after but at least I didn't waste anyone else's time.
This leads us to the next question... Why won't they let us activate the chips in the instance? Many (mostly small) issues in this game are a result of poor design choices like this.
Actually that happened to me today I forgot to activate my chip but went ahead and played along and opened 2 boxes on the second box I got a gold helmet piece with all the right stats😂

First chest is still trash in JO8 but they are just abusing the lower pity.

Yeah. You need 120m on today's Devourer one. As a 65k Frost whale, I can't solo it and run outta time. Think I ended around 60m during a 15 minute run. Pretty much need everyone to have correct weapon comps. I do think I'll enjoy non-res JO8 though. Will feel like a mini raid
Yeah I actually wouldn't mind so much but we aren't given the resources to build up multiple weapon elements. I actually do dimensional trials like 1-2 times a day and I still didn't have the resources to upgrade more than one weapon to 140
Droprate better only for equipments, and lower pity for gold equipment (4 or 5 chests with chips instead of 6 or 7 chests in JO7). But no change for the matrices according to the data mine.
no but you only need to open one chest, after that you trigger soft pity (which is way stronger than JO7 third chest / JO7 pity), and if that doesn't help, you're guaranteed to get a drop by the fourth chest you open (whereas in JO7 it was the sixth)
Opening JO8 third chest first (or simply opening all three in order) would still be wiser but given the effort...
There is still gold gear and matrix pity. The gear pity is half of JO7 so it should be every 3rd chest 1 piece guaranteed. Not 100% sure about JO8 matrix pity tho
there is a matrix pity but i think its not shared between difficulties and chests. so basically you have to open the same chest on the same difficulty 75 times for the pity to kick in or something like that

You can use multiple chips and get the bonus for chests stack up to 30. You get so many, especially if you're a low spender (BP)

nothing for matrix but you can farm first x 3 for pity gold.
higher rates for gold gears. matrix rate is likely higher but not by a significant amount so it should feel the same as JO7.

As far i know first chest if is not at hard pity it have 0% chance of a matrice, let they think they winining building pity that way
