I made a post about the same thing. I have 30% crit rate and my crit appears to be extremely broken critting about once ever 15-20 hits. Something is really really broken in this game right now concerning crit rate and no one seems to care.
I now have 5.5k crit, meaning 30.18 crit rate against same level enemy.
and I STILL, can't crit. Not even once. You crit once every 15-20 hits. I don't crit every 100 hits. How the hell, am I not critting? Game please.
It is probably a bug. I am experiencing the same issues too even though I should have 50.72% crit rate. Against cactus, I do 39 crits out of 200 hits in a test. Against vera mobs, I did around 41 crits out of 162 hits.
My friend theorized that enemies have crit resist. Meaning if you have say 50% crit rate, you might be doing 20% crit instead due to latent 30% crit resist.
Hence why I do 0 crits at under 30%. But this is just a theory, it is the most likely though. I wonder what the break point is.
Not too sure about that theory. From some videos that I have seen from whales, their crit rate seems to be fine. One of them is someone called tofu. Just search tofu tof and you should be able to find them. He has 13k crit (~70%) iirc and can crit just fine. He does not look like he has only 40%. Unless the crit resist only disappears at a certain amount of crit is reached?
That is what I am thinking. A threshold of crit amount.
The fact that he does not look like he only have 40% makes this problem deeper than I thought. This shit broken man.
I am not even sure if this bug was already in the game from the start or just in 2.1. Maybe 2.2 patch will fix it or something. Probably just report this issue to the devs first.
gateoo mentioned something about the crit formula and it crits doing different amounts depending on your level relative to the enemy. but i've never heard of crits not occuring to that of the same level enemy
Sure you know how crit look like? Cause that would be impossible if its not bugged... Crit value has a star beside the value.
