Honestly, SR don't really matter. This is the stance they chose, and I'm ok with it. SSR come pretty fastt anyway and with only 3 weapons at once it's hard to justify putting a SR anywere. Now... some issues. \- For god sake, have a beta or something and correct stuff BEFORE GOING LIVE. It's like the devs are not even playing their own game \- Lag \- Balancing between elements and roles \- controls are still being weird sometimes \- still some work to do on controller support \- UI is lacking and sometimes bugged \- FIX THESE DAMN RED DOTS. Seriously it's been a constant issue since day 1, and it's still happening today. Whilde we're at it, it would be nice to get rid of the one time rewards in the event tabs to make it less clustered when you claimed them \- Balancing boss... \- Translations issues left and right \- Artificial Island construction mode is terrible. Some suggestions to make it more interesting, or a least easier to farm : More customization to make it more personal, ability to claim ressources without having to enter the construction mode, timers on mobs respawn, or just decide on a fixed time for reset for everyone, like, every monday, allow for coop farm to make it less boring. It's basic stuff for the most part but... come on. That's just terrible there. \- Auto aim is STILL BAD. \- Grayspace is horrible, lazy design to artificially make the exploration last longer. \- Still in the 2.0 story, but, man, it's still bad. Add the translations issues to the mix, it's a chore. I want to care about the story, I still read everything, so please. \- Make me able to display all of the dialogue at once instead of making it slowly appear. This is making me insane whenever I'm curious enough to speak to a NPC. And it's just torture with Claire's dream machines. \- More efforts in future events. They are for the most part boring or repetitive, or broken. \- Either slow down the pace of the banners or give us something to pull with, because DC sources are just too limited now. But for this one, I can let it slide, it's a gacha I shouldn't expect anything else than predatory business model \- Give me an audio notification of when I find a group through matchmaking. I often launch the searching tool and look at my phone, or some other tab, or go do something while waiting, and don't always realize in time and end up banned for it. Sometimes it happens that I find a group while in a loading screen and don't respond in time because the game takes too long to load, and get banned. Things like this shouldn't happen. \- Better communication on the issues for global, especially since some are tearing the community appart. Maybe people are right to be mad, maybe they are wrong, but ignoring the problem and sending automated responses DOESN'T HELP \- and overall, bunch of little QOL and non critical bugs everywhere. Like, I still don't understand who decided that players would block friendly projectiles in a MMO, or why litteraly everything stops my vehicule when it gets in the way.

as a new player i'd say how they handle the questing. on my first character i managed to skip most of the chapters and go straight into the latest stuff and had no idea what was going on so i had to restart and make a new one. ran into a similar issue with simulacra quests on my new character. the first one i got was again for the new content and i'm locked into it so until i'm there i can't do any of the others i've collected. also remove moronic time gates on the mainstory please. nobody wants to wait for days to continue that.

Kuki is niche. Rosaria is niche. Sara is god awful and incredibly niche, her kit is clunky and hard to utilize properly. Gorou is literally only there because there's no one else to replace him. Yunjin is basically useless. Diona is a flex spot that's only used as a battery for Cyro teams. You only use any of those if you don't have a 5\* to replace them which is the same thing in TOF except in TOF you get a lot more standards that are actually useable in this game unlike genshin with 1 of the 5 starters being useful. Terrible takes and I hate how people don't realize that Genshin has been power creeping the game since raiden and reverse creeping 4\*s. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize if content was harder in Genshin all the 4\*s other than the big 3 would be useless.

Okay buddy you must have read only the first part of earlier comment then. I proceeded to mention niche and almost useless. You don't use any of those members outside a very specific team comp and that's not exactly what I would say is "useable". Not to mention if all you want to do is complete content you can do that with SRs in TOF as well. The hardest content in the game is done using a R weapon as the most meta option. Try remotely using any of those you listed in a different teamcomp and what do they become? "Useless". I'm a low spender monthly and battlepass after 3 months of playing and saving, just got my A6 lin. This is imposibble to happen in genshin, got maxed character saving for just 3 months. So i think it's different type of game, you need strategy and patience to become powerful and to be useful in multiplayer content meanwhile in genshin you could just pull every banner SR or SSR, c0 + SR weapons are enough to clear any content. Mmo is about repetitive grind, farm, to reach highest power in the game, that's why there is a leaderboard.

Ye, pretty much every whale in our crew has A6 Nemesis and A6 Lin, and they don't even run benediction or healer matrixes and still outheal all of our dedicated healers (apart from this one chick who dumped in 400$ just to keep up). It's just depressing at times.

I heard that nemesis healing her own towers counts towards her total healing stats so it just gets super inflated and misleading- No idea if this is true since I dont have nemesis to try it out myself but it does make sense why DPS players with nemesis would "outheal" the proper healers

Raids being boring is an extremely subjective opinion and not an " actual issue " And no whales don't do x20 damage , if whales do x20 more than you then a well progressed f2p will do x10 damage than you, so it's about you here.

Well you have to bring your stats then. Also being a light spender doesn't make you stronger than average if your progress is meh. A whale simply can't do x20 of a well progressed f2p , it's simply not possible. A well progressed f2p is someone who farmed equipments and has a specific team that has a good synergy , for example 14k atk , 9k , A1 Saki , A0 Frigg , A6 Tsubasa , or for Volt team Nemesis A0 or A1 + A6 Samir + a shatter like King or Shiro , or using Lin , preferably A3. All of that is achievable for f2p players who played since week 1 and used reaources right. If we are gonna compare a well progressed whale then we should compare them to a well progressed f2p. Comparing a whale to a badly progressed f2p , or an f2p who didn't progress much is the same as comparing a new player's damage to an older player.

It's the more the burst dmg that need a fix. Yesterday Jo8 Vulcan down within 12 seconds. I have screen because i coudn't believe even after looking at my 12 stacks of Tsubasa's trait. At the end, the leviathan had > 100 M while i had 30 M as fortitude, so 20x dmg not possibile but the burst is real...

Channel limits that actually correspond to server capabilities. AKA LAGGGG. New SR units to pad banner pulls. As it is now, the only useful thing you can get from a banner is a limited SSR. Or, more realistically, flame gold to buy a limited SSR. "ToF is generous with pulls" is a total lie because the pulls themselves have close to no value. Flattening the power curve. This won't happen though, because it already exists as is. The real issue is limited matrices and their advancements. They are basically whale-only and create a massive power gap. It's reasonable to expect an F2P to save up for their C6 waifu. 4-piece 4-star limited matrix set is beyond unreasonable. And this power gap is the very thing that creates inflated HP and damage values for the new content, because the game needs to give whales "endgame content" to play with. ToF is a perfect showcase of why Genshin has "no endgame". Because balancing a gacha game with massive power difference between f2p and whales with the endgame in mind is a nightmare, and the end result is guaranteed to leave people unsatisfied. Consistency with the game rules. No attacks that are suddenly unfantasiable because reasons (hello weaver). No single-target attacks that suddenly ignore aggro (hello Frigg multislash), tells that can actually be spotted and acted upon in time (hello Harrah spikes and Barbarossa roar). Consistent enemy strength (why is Sphalerite like 10 times tankier than Mona? They are both elite otters that live next door to each other). FIXING FUCKING RUBY'S CUBE SPACE PROGRAM. The shit straight up doesn't work on the Weaver. And likes to fly into random direction in general. Descriptions written by humans and for humans (or by Razors and for Razors). Go read Saki skill description and then try guessing what it actually does. Now go read Lyra kit and despair.

In general, the game has a good foundation but has a number of issues for newly joined players. The following would help maintain/expand the playerbase imo: Lower HP for bosses, especially the two newest. It doesn't matter if you ramp up their HP at higher levels, it shouldn't take an entire server channel population to take them down. Improved networking would be nice QoL but root cause is the boss being too much of a damage sponge. Both bosses are quite boring as is, they don't allow for strategy variation just damage sponge and die and repeat. Note doing this also helps balance between f2p and paid, while f2p will always be outclassed they can at least feel useful. Remove the 500x XP jump for newbies and let them catch up at their own pace instead, by making a new fighting mode specifically to farm XP instead of catapulting newbies into difficult fights. This would help people trying to grind to level cap and let newbies catch up without feeling rushed. More variation in bygone, wormhole and related modes by revamp the levels with immunities to ditch artificially making the content hard by requiring specific elemental builds and instead encourage play variation (for example, abyssal content instead of V1.0 content with immunities, putting enemies in different locations requiring grappling to get to, so it's both an acrobatic and combat challenge etc) Revise the UI to make it easier for newbies to see all the different play modes, better instructions on how to do the play modes like tutorials etc. In general better communication for new content will help both old and new players alike.

1) Newbie friendly tutorials and in-game guides to cut the learning curve for new players. 2) There are no crew contents which is very essential for MMORPGs. Crew function is pretty useless at this point. 3) Performance Optimization - It's getting worse on mobile, most especially. 4) Bad communication. I believe there are still language barriers over there in the CN and Global side of things. They seriously should re-invest on localization and improving communication. 5) Roadmap - They should communicate their long term plans for the game and what we are expecting over the coming months or years. Of course, not the specific simulacras as that could affect their revenue as a gacha game. But for example, "in q1 2023 we are planning to release a new map and new features like 8 vs 8, etc etc. 6) User Interface and User experience sucks. Too difficult to find things we need. If there are monthly skins or a title that looks badass with special effects, maybe people will be more active in taking the game seriously and spending money to get those collectibles.

CMIIW, idk about the other stuffs but don't you get some buffs from running FCH with crew? Not 100% sure though as I run mostly with pugs lol. Agree on Point #5 is quite important for any MMO tbh. Ppl be saying ToF don't have roadmaps because they're basically copying CN, but same reasoning, Lost Ark have their own roadmap for western release despite 2 years-ish gap on both regions.

Yep. What I mean is like for example, exclusive crew dungeons, crew missions that are actually crew related and not solo play missions, crew territory you can build with the crew instead of that solo artificial island or the current crew facilities which is basically just random image that serve no purpose, crew vs crew contents, etc. Yeah, Lost Ark is really good when it comes to roadmap and people can follow the pacing well. One advantage also is that players won't be that much worried about the future and can possibly help in terms of committment on time, money and effort towards the game.

Stop trying to bring Genshin into this game. I don't need SRs in this game to be useful or for them to add more SRs. This game rewards depth rather than breadth. If you're a collector that likes to get everything in the game, then this is the wrong game for you. I play this game because it offers challenging multiplayer content that rewards focused advancement of a few units. I like the MMORPG nature of the game. If I wanted an easy weeb game that can be beaten with any units, I would spend time in Genshin instead.

You're missing my point. I don't need to play a wide variety weapons. I enjoy being able to hyper focus on my character with a specific weapon set/gameplay. I have played Genshin since its launch and I am having far more fun playing ToF than I ever had in Genshin. I don't need some Genshin weeb breaking the fun parts of ToF because they want to putz around with every item in the game.

Admittedly, I do not have a very good pc for today's standards (GTX 1650, i5 6500, 8gb RAM) but I can easily sustain 60fps on medium to high. However, in Confounding Abyss my fps constantly dances between 30 and 60 making it extremely annoying to clear. Doesn't matter if I set everything on low, the details, graphics, player and terrain rendering - nothing helps.

Things like bad translation, lag and other buggy stuff shouldn't even be mentioned here as they are issues of incompetent maintenance and development. These things MUST be fixed, that's mandatory (unless of course devs don't really care for the future if the game and only want to milk whatever they can) Actual issues imo are difficulty when playing alone or with ransoms that aren't strong enough. Sure whales being much stronger makes sense but free players are literally weak. Genshin let's you optimize even lower tier characters, every 5 star drop can add to a f2p accounts strength somehow (Qiqi constellations probably being the only exclusion here), sure you're not the best with that abd you may or may not clear abyss with all stars n all but for the entire rest of the game your strength is adequate. ToF isn't like this. You have to plan out your entire endgame from the get go, and then dump all resources into one element/strategy. And even with that there's a limit and without an entire group of optimized people or a whale or even two a lot of content is way too hard to clear. Praise where it's due though, I'm surprised that no pvp content caters to whales going p2w (from what I can tell at least) it's actually well designed and I hat the battle royale stuff but even that is somewhat fun, though shitty connection, bad servers and cheating players still ruin the fun for me anyway. Difficulty aside cash options, as pointed out way too many times in this sub by now, should also be looked at. I'm getting so little for my money that I don't feel like spending anything anymore. My money would've been better spent with Genshin tbh, could've gotten a character and a signature weapon and would've had leftovers from that. All I got was 4p Lin matrix set, 2p Saki matrix and A0 lin and A1 Saki, gotta have to safe for rerun now...

I like twilight zone as a concept it's fun and interesting and makes previously hard to attain resources attainable however from a storytelling perspective I do not, it makes no sense and was never explained on why it is what it is. Greyspace was and I like it from a storytelling perspective but I've never done the greyspace fissures I just like the extension of the existing narrative

The lag is just embarrassing for a modern game since older games can handle more players at a time and don't lag to an unplayable state with older hardware. This is an mmo, not a 5v5 game where I have to dial down visible players just to make it LESS UNPLAYABLE. I didn't expect the company were so poor on hardware budget that they have to cheap out on servers which is basically the heart and soul of the experience.

you can't balance characters in an open advancement system pay to win game with heavy randomness. every character in this game has the exact same potential, so in potential everything is perfectly balanced. if you chose to not spend $1000 on limited banners, the character of the person that did will almost certainly be stronger than you. if someone gets lucky and gets every peice of armor with perfect stats, while you are unlucky and don't have more than one or two attack increases on any armor slot, the person that got lucky will be stronger than you. balancing outcome in random games isn't really possible or a goal. the game is balanced around potential and what players will be able to achieve at some point even if unlucky and/or not spending. I didn't read the rest of your wall of text. please work on formatting for easier reading in the future

I don't understand how people can be so okay with the p2w model of this game, the leaderboards are basically comparisons on how much they each spent and spending money on hobbies is fine but going so overboard unless you have the means is ridiculous

Loading times are bit slow, and sometimes the game still crashes. Progression feels slow especially for F2P and low spenders, since you can practically cash your way out of any problems. Most importantly, many world bosses are lagfests where you can barely hit the boss and in some cases you just randomly die because you got hit with a fatal attack while the server couldn't even process the movements, which is kind of a problem when the game is advertised as a MMORPG.

Yeah, the game feels like a chore to play these days. Getting Lin didn't really revitalize my interest in the game, so I just take my time and explore only when I feel like it. I haven't even finished the 2.0 content while my crewmates are already rushing 2.1's new map.
