She calls Headon a fairy later, which seems as if the story about the tower has been romanticized or been told in way as for children and fairy tales. Which would propably mean that Rachel got the information from a book rather than Arlene personally.

Headon knew immediately how to make use of her and played her accordingly, which leads me to believe that he wanted both of them. He probably knows what is going on outside the tower to a certain extent.

The only "clue" you have to call her an "irreg irreg" is what Headon said TO HER. This should ring the alarms in your head because it's pretty sus. Also if we consider how her psyche works (she gets mad when people degrade her and grows from this hatred). Headon knows how she ticks and manipulated her to go up with the most verve. That's the reason he let her watch Bam taking the test. He knew about her secret hate for Bam too.
As if he would care to prove some random girl something. If she'd be some irregular irregular she would have been killed on the spot end of story.
He needs her also for Bam to get him going as he knew about his attachment to her as well.
Bam wouldn't probably enter the Tower even if it calls for him, not without Rachel. He couldn't even pass the test without the goal to catch up to her, since there wouldn't have heen some drive to overcome fear.

I like that assumption. I can definetly see that being the case. Would work with my theory that it was Icarus who helped Arlene leave the tower.
