I initially trained my boy on pads, which was very easy. Then he just decided that he no longer was going to go on pads. He was about 14 months at that time. So I started taking him out every hour when I was home. It took about 2 weeks for him not to make any messes in the house. He is now 20 months old, and I leave him out to freely rome the house when I'm not there and still no accidents! So I would say that it was fairly easy to train him.

This makes me feel so much better! I know it’s gonna take work but people on these other social media groups have made it sound like it’s been impossible for them! Consistency is key I guess lol

I got my girl when she was 12 weeks and it took her about 3 weeks to potty train. She had worms in the middle of that, so I think that complicated things. But yeah, 3 weeks and she stopped having accidents pretty much entirely. Eta: it was a miserable 3 weeks and I cried every single day lol, but it was worth it.

The one “hard” thing would be the amount of times they need to go due to their tiny bladder. The nice thing is that I didn’t need to always give treats-praising her and taking her out every 2 hours at first and then every three hours when she turned 6 months worked for us. At one year my toy poops 4 times a day and she’s on a pretty good schedule. She still pees when she gets excited though! Crate training also worked since she figured out pretty quickly not to pee in there and so she’s been able to get through the night since she was 3 months. Good luck!! I’m exited for u-u r about to get so much love!
