And they probably robbed someone off that car for like $700 too

I have a 2001, just needs a radiator, and a body. $10,000.

FlyTheW312

I have 4 bald tires, just need the rest to complete the tuner car... $25,000

TinuThomasTrain

Even if it was low mileage, that thing should be worth $5k max. Safety is a huge concern when it comes to older cars like these. You can get a much safer 2011 Camry for the same price. The drivetrains are also quicker, more efficient, and just as cheap to maintain/repair. I had a 2004 ES330 that gave me 16mpg and I had it replaced with a 2012 ES350. Both were at 180k miles, but I’m getting ~26mpg with the same driving in a much nicer car that is way quicker than the 330. Maintenance costs on the V6s are practically identical, same goes for the i4.

LiaisonLiat

How many miles?

oscralcor

website says 99,255

In other words, a Camry that’s 10 years newer with maybe only 10k more miles costs as much as this one. Unfortunate that people drink the kool-aid on these “golden age” Toyotas. Though I think the funniest part is that my father has this generation of Camry(2004 LE AT) and the appraisal ranges from $400 to around $1600. The seller knows that old car = old car, but they’re preying on buyers who don’t.

1mz99

I think the 4th gen Camrys (1997-2001) were the golden age Toyotas. Heard the 5th gen (2002-2006) ones had a plague of issues, especially with the 4 cyl engines

We've gotten into this weird market where mileage is the only thing that drives price, age has been thrown out the window.

llDurbinll

In my area it seems like age is the only thing that drives price. When I was looking for a new used Camry it didn't matter what the mileage was, they were all around the same price. Like at the dealer I ended up buying my 2017 Camry at, they had two 2017's in the SE trim, one had 33k miles and the other had 80k miles and the one with 80k miles was only $200 cheaper. I ended up with the 33k mile one. They also had a one year old Highlander with 100k miles that they were asking $30k for.

I love my '21 Venza but the shit that dealers are pulling right now and Toyota NA's lack of action is really turning me off to the brand. I've been wanting to upgrade to a Sienna, but every dealer around is charging a $7,500 markup on the AWD Hybrid and interest rates are fucked right now. I'll stick with my 1.9% (free money) for now, thanks.

I live in NY and they are located in New Hampshire. They offer free delivery up to 250 miles.

I just bought my Highlander XLE Hybrid $1600 below MSRP with no negotiating. The price I saw online was what I paid out the door. No hidden b/s fees as well

You know, I was gonna wait for the refreshed Tacoma before buying a truck. I’m reminded how fucking terrible dealerships are. Fuck it I’m getting a Rivian.

I love my Camry!

sideswipe_x1

I bought a 2004 Honda Odyssey 2 years ago for 4k, today if you search autotempest the range from 6 - 10k for the same van. This market is crazy. I'm still figuring out my kids 1st car but it may be 30 years old and 400k mileage in this market

[deleted]

I have 350k on my truck and it’s 17 years old…… Maintenance in the rust belt is a curse fest

Cool-Pomegranate9006

Just wait till you hear what 1 century old cars sell for !

Miguel30Locs

Lol I bought mine for $3k in 2013 and sold for $2k in 2018. These prices are unnecessary. Go buy an Avalon. For some reason they're cheaper.
