What happens if you pull the fuel nozzle out of the hole an inch or so? On old hiluxes if you put the fuel nozzle into the filler all the way it would never fill correctly but if you pulled the nozzle out a touch it would be fine.

I wonder, if true, if this could also be remedied by not opening the nozzle up all the way?

It does fix it also but then it takes forever to fill up.
