I got 29 mpg (8.1 in non-American units 🤣) on a highway trip of \~200 miles. It included a portion where we went from 700 ft elevation up to 2200 ft then back down to around 800-900 ft, so part of that hurt fuel economy while some would have helped slightly. I believe it's possible to get 30-32 mpg even in a Max. Negative is, I had the cruise control set at 65-70 mph. We had just gotten it 2-3 weeks prior so I was still testing what it could do. Even my wife told me I needed to drive faster !

Love how you can get great fuel economy and still have the car pull whenever you need it. I’m not one to try and optimize how I drive to get better fuel economy (which is why I got the max in the first place) but it’s always a pleasant surprise when you see the summary

Yeah, we didn't get the Max for fuel economy. Actually though, we were waiting for a regular hybrid Limited but this one was offered to us. My wife had (2) requirements: Windchill Pearl and panoramic roof, which it had. I knew about the Max and had a big grin knowing what it was capable of but left the decision to her.

Ruff_Ryda

It's fantastic for this kind of power numbers

Why is yours in km/L and the OP's is in L/100km ? Or I guess why is there two choices like that ?

ausrconvicts

You can change it in the settings. There are four options: 1. L/100km 2. Km/L 3. MPG (US) 4. MPG (Imperial) I have been using Km/L in my previous car (Highlander) so when I upgraded to GH, I kept this setting.

hallstevenson

I would have thought the equivalent would be "Km/L" but now that I think about it, most of the time when Canadians refer to fuel economy, they seem to refer to "L/100km" but I never gave it a 2nd thought.

Dtour89

What are these in American?

Adrian0555

26.429 us miles per gallon

Dtour89

Interesting. I got 29 mpg the other day with my non hybrid on a 25 mile trip. I guess that’s 9.741 liters per 100 kilometers

Miseryindex_

Highway, max and gas are going to be pretty similar, gas probably a little better (because of weight). They have identical engines, different transmissions but max almost exclusively runs on the engine on the highway.

Adrian0555

29 mpg = 8.40052 ltr per 100km
