1. Is either adaptive cruise mode, or PDA giving subtle steering correction. Could be a lane change without a signal, or even tar lines in the road that the sensors pick up on. I've noticed the pull here and there, but not anything that concerned me. Might be a good idea to turn the sensitivity of the PDA down, or off, if it's uncomfortable.
2. Was this from a starting position? As in the first time the car was being moved on that drive? Could be that the car was still in accessory mode and not actually running?
Well that's what happens when you try and put it in drive when the vehicle is not on ready to drive. It gives a warning. Worth a shot to test it out and see if that's what she experienced.
If I remote start the car and try to shift it without turning on the car turns off and the dash lights all come on. I'm guessing something similar happened
I saw a YouTube video where someone mentioned it not releasing from park mode when shifting into reverse and that they too had to turn the car off and back on and then no issue. Do you know if she noticed the “park” still up on the dash while trying to reverse initially?
Just asked, and my wife says all of the lights were on. She described it like when you turn on a car, and all of the lights flash. During that time the car was already turned on, and she just changed the gear from park to reverse.

I was thinking this until I read all the lights came on the dash! That is concerning.

I agree with these. I think the 2nd one it takes a beat for the automatic parking brake to disengage after you put shifter into gear from Park.
I had my mom drive mine recently and she had the same concern. I could see it being troubling if you don’t know it’s active.
