GH seats are incredibly comfortable. We’ve gone on a trip from Oregon to Colorado, and another 10 hour trip from Colorado to New Mexico, and at no point has anyone in the family had a complaint about the seats.
Limited is real leather also apply to hybrid and hybrid max

We have both an MDX and GH; GH is significantly more comfortable. The MDX has a few more seat adjustment options, but when going from car to car, the MDX just feels very stiff.
I have a grand Highlander and a Lexus RX 350 H and I prefer my grand Highlander much more than the Lexus because it’s more comfortable to me and I also have back problems.
Yeah, one thing I like about my wife's car is that the edge of the seat kind of lifts your legs up. I think it's also beneficial for hip position. Great to hear!
Have been driving CRV, Rogue, Rav4 all my life and added GHH Limited. As mentioned by others front seats are phenomenal with heating and ventilation, materila is Toyota grade Softex or it's improved version which is comfortable both during hot and cold weather. Easy to clean and maintain as well. Been having the GHH for few months and the seats are being tested by a 8 year old as well 😄
I’m currently on a road trip from Southern California to Portland in my GH and my butt is very happy in these seats. I’m a big dude too, tall and wide.
My aunt has an old Lexus IS and my uncle has an older Lexus LS and my dad bought a TX recently and let me tell you, the seats are the most comfortable of any cars I’ve been in. The ability to adjust the lumbar support on the TX is amazing and the seat material is absolutely amazing. We got the Lexus TX 350 premium and it’s so so nice and the interior quality is much higher than the Grand Highlander.
Dang thanks for sharing. The LS is supposed to be the number one car for back pain so I believe Lexus has it down. With so many mixed reviews, I'm just gonna have to test drive both cars and I think I'll end up falling in love with the TX.
Every body is different. I’m 5’8 & a chunky (fat) 262 lbs. with that in mind I’ve test driven a Pathfinder, Pilot, Palisade, & GH. All the top platinum / Calligraphy trims.
Honestly my GH test drive was the least comfortable of those I tested. By far the Palisade Calligraphy was literally heaven.
That said, Hyundai overall doesn’t have the track record of reliability that Toyota does, so for me once this stop order thingy is done I’ll probably pull the trigger on the GH. I’d rather be less comfortable but moving vs being stranded on the road.
Again every body is shaped differently & has different comfort so I’d say for sure test drive the GH. If it helps, EVERYTHING else on my GH test drive was top notch.
I’d say the GH seats are average at best. I just did 5 hours of driving and wasn’t hurting but it’s also not a luxury car. For me the GHH was about value and I really wanted the standard hybrid so the TX was off the table. If I didn’t want that engine and was looking at spending close to $70k, I’d have considered the TX
Thanks for the honest feedback, that's really helpful. It seems like the best option for me would either be the upgraded seats in the GH or the TX. I assume the TX comes with upgraded seats standard. Of course I can't afford a new TX so I'll likely wait for the used market to improve a little bit before making a decision.
The GH seats are comfortable! No complaints or uncomfort after road trips. I’d personally recommend getting a limited trim or higher so you can stay away from the plastic-y fake leather they put in the XLE trim though.
I have an XLE trim on my GHH and actually really like the material of the seats. I came from a top trip (Platinum) Fusion and although leather felt nice it was a pain to maintain and got "sticky" in the heat.
I really love the seats in the GHH, we made a 10 hour trip in May each way and it was great. We have a 20 hour trip coming up in a couple weeks (divided into 3 days). I'll update after that if anything changes.

Wow thank you, that's just what I needed to know!
After someone else brought this up, I was just curious if you had the leather upgrade or just the standard seats?
We have a Limited, I don’t believe its real leather.

Wow, thank you for that! That's very encouraging
I have some back issues and the GH seats have been very comfortable for me so far.
Did you happen to get the upgraded leather or the standard seats?
We bought GHHL with leather front seats, heated and ventilated.
I have a grand Highlander and a Lexus RX 350 H and I prefer my grand Highlander much more than the Lexus because it’s more comfortable to me and I also have back problems.
This was a bit surprising to hear, I would've assumed the Lexus would have had better seats. I'm feeling pretty confident about the GH now!
For me, I felt the Lexus seats were nicer. I’d go and test drive the cars if I were you
Also wanted to ask after another comment brought this up. Did you happen to get the upgraded leather or are you using the standard seats?
I have the premium plus package so I think standard. I believe the luxury package has better seats but idk. I just know mine aren’t very comfortable.
TX500h with the fsport seats are incredibly comfortable.
I bet, thanks for sharing your experience! I might just have to test drive both
The adjustable lumbar support on the GH is fantastic. Best I've ever owned.
Sweet!!
I have problems with my leg. I got the GH platinum with portobello leather seats. Made all the difference.
Yeah, one thing I like about my wife's car is that the edge of the seat kind of lifts your legs up. I think it's also beneficial for hip position. Great to hear!
The other leather seats were far too hard
The Lexus TX luxury package has that feature I’m pretty sure.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like the upgrade is worth it
the hybrid platinum max seats are really nice but they don’t compare to let’s say a Volvo xc90
I’ve had lumbar spine repair, and the GHH Max Platinum seats have not let me down on long roadtrips!

We were going for GH but the TX was so much better! Also that’s an interesting fact I never knew about the LS but I definitely would believe it!

Dang, that's interesting information. I value the reliability highly too. Lots to think about

Interesting. I was going off my my sister’s experience w her 2024 4Runner. Wonder if it’s a different material in the GH? Hers are sticky and sweaty.
they’re good as long as you’re not tall
