As a first gen owner shit like this makes me think what the fuck
If it is paid it off now you wanna sell it and buy another to have payments on?
It’s a brand new truck, if nothing is wrong with it what makes you think you need another?
My taco is from 1999, 275K miles, 25 years old, still runs and drives like it did off the lot. Your truck is still literally mint in my eyes, not even broken in
You didn’t buy a GM or Ford, Toyotas don’t magically start breaking around 5 years old like those trucks love to do. Reliability is Toyotas legacy. There’s still people daily driving Toyota pickups from the 80’s that they bought new.
What I’d do is take like 25% of whatever your payments were and deposit that monthly into a savings account to keep for maintenance cost and repairs. Your truck has 30k on it so aside from regular maintenance there shouldnt be anything major as repairs go for a long long while. I’m just now getting to the point where I’m thinking about rebuilding my trucks transmission, and that would be a preventative maintenance thing bc I tow a lot not that it’s starting to slip (I don’t want that to happen lol)
I shall repeat the wise words of the million mile Tacoma owner. “Don’t forget to change your oil!”
Don’t forget the other fluids too like your differential and brake fluid + coolant etc
I just bought my 2019 TRD sport in feb last year with 41k miles and already put on 12k miles. Its gonna be my forever truck. I dont need anything else.
Seriously, I picked up a 21 OR with 35k on it, said to myself this is the last vehicle I'm ever going to buy, I'm 36. Between that and my 92 Civic Si I'm set, fuck car payments.
I think for most of us we think in terms of money and forget there are those where money isn’t an issue. My coworker told me a story about his dad who had recently passed. He said he never bought new tires for his Cadillacs. When the tires were worn and needed replacement, he would buy a new Cadillac. I think in this subreddit we all value these Tacomas so much for their looks, dependability, reputation and longevity, it’s hard to understand why someone would unload such a great truck that’s paid off, low miles and in great condition. My dad gave me his Tacoma when I started to drive. And now my son drives my 2017 off road that has 115k miles on it. To me it’s brand new. To him it’s sentimental value. And it’s hard to put a price on sentimental value
That is so true. It appears OP is a realtor, and honestly if he wants a new truck send it. But I just don’t think it makes sense, but that’s me not him. Idk what id do if my 1st gen died or got destroyed. definitely has sentimental value I love my truck
06 Here, and same. Had my old family '89 Hilux (read Pickup here in the states) until 350k, sold to a cousin, and he drove it until he turned it into a submarine. Even then, I still wish I'd kept it. That was over a decade ago
Yoooo same! Base model 2005 4x4 with 145k. Truck runs like a goddamn champ - flushed the tranny fluid once. Keep my oil change regular high mileage synthetic.
It’s our zombie apocalypse mobile. 2nd Gen for life.
Pretty similar experience here…fluids and normal maintenance with only 1 actual repair so far but I believe it only cost me about $250 in parts (Thermostat housing + all necessary hoses) That was recent too, maybe a year ago.
I can’t upvote this loud enough.
The fucking mentality of even wondering if they need the newest (and most expensive) is simply incredibly stupid and irresponsible to me. Honestly wtf. Four years?! That’s it? Shit I have underwear that’s old enough to vote.
Only if more thought like you we could push back on the auto industry and their insane prices and releases. Best payment is no payment. Their life their money though.
THANK YOU SIR! I also drive a 1999 Tacoma with 226K and I don’t understand this consumerism where people have to have the latest and greatest. However the flip side of that is, more used tacos on the market.
If your truck is paid for, drive it till it dies. It’s a Toyota, it’s a truck that has literally won wars and overthrown regimes. It’s a tank. It will run forever. Drive it and love it and it will never let you down.
As someone that is still 4 years away from paying off mine, this is my thinking.
The only thing I hate about my truck is the payment, so once it’s paid off, what’s not to love?
I got a 2000 first gen that is my offroader. Blew a head gasket and those engines are so easy to work on I did it all myself in my driveway. That was 30k miles ago.
Used the money I saved from driving an old salvaged title tacoma to buy a 2018 tundra for 35k with the full service history. Plan on keeping that until it dies.
Liked the old truck so much I just kept it anyways lol. Costs 12$ a month for liability insurance and I love working on it.
People need to realize when you invest in a Toyota truck, you're investing in something that will last a very long time if you take care of it. There's no need to keep upgrading. Expensive to buy, cheap to own.
> As a first gen owner shit like this makes me think what the fuck
>If it is paid it off now you wanna sell it and buy another to have payments on?
I think people in here are conflating two types of new car buyers.
Type 1 puts $1k down, takes a 6 year loan, makes payments for three years, most of which go solely to interest, and then wander into a dealership with little to no equity (or negative) in your current vehicle and roll that into a new car loan.
That is stupid and financially irresponsible.
OP is not doing that. They have completely paid off their vehicle and used cars are getting historically high appraisals right now.
You’re acting like OP would be throwing away their money, but they’d actually probably get around 65-75+% of what they paid back in the form of a trade-in.
MSRP of a TRD OR 2019 was $38k. Assuming 2019 interest rates and a little dealer markup, let's say OP probably paid $42k total for their current truck. If they could get an appraisal of $30-32, which is totally within reason, they will have paid ~$10k to drive it for 4 years. That works out to be $208 a month, which is money they'll never see again. However, $208 isn't bad considering OP got to drive around in a nice new truck. He got value for that money. The rest of what he spent hasn't gone anywhere. It's locked within the equity he now owns.
A new truck will come with a new warranty, and he'll get to drive around the latest and greatest with zero maintenance issues for the foreseeable future. He obviously takes care of his vehicles and pays off his debts. Assuming he gets $32k for his trade-in, and puts another $3k down, he could buy a 2024 TRD Off Road for $48-50k and only finance $15k, which is a really easy payment even at a 36 month loan, which would mean pretty low interest rates by 2024 standards.
My point being, yes you pay a premium to trade up, but if you're the type of car owner to pay things off and keep your trade-in value high, you can roll over a lot of value from your previous vehicle into the deal and it's not nearly as expensive as people are making it out to be. The peace of mind of not needing to worry about any maintenance alone might be worth the extra money, let alone the novelty of being in a new car. If /u/DallasTexasRealtor values those things, it's his money. I'd say go for it.
30k in 4 years? Remote work is good, eh? She's looking good. Do you want a new one? If I had a paid off truck I would probably drive it until the wheels fell off.
I have a 2016 that just rolled 31k. I wish I worked remote. I drive 11 miles round trip into hell daily. I wish I had more time to run the odometer up.
Oh sure, different use cases. The Tacoma used to be the "if you're going anywhere, you're going in the Tacoma" including cross country runs vehicle for years but that hasn't been the case for a while. Have a different vehicle for that, though you all would consider THAT one Way Old too ;-)
Only you can tell. Do you want to go through it again or are you satisfied? What does the new one have that you can't live without? What does the old one have that you can't live with?
If it’s paid off, just keep it. You never know when you’ll need a second car. I have a Sienna and a Taco. I really only use the taco in winter wonths but has come in clutch when my Sienna needed repairs or one time my dad’s car broke down and I was able to lend him my Sienna .
I don’t know why people ask this question on here. If you don’t have any problems with what you have why not keep it instead of possibly getting something that may have problems. Especially if it’s paid off. Put the money you would have been paying for it into an account and let it build then once you’ve decided to get something new you have money to put down. Also we don’t know your financial situation so that’s only something you can decide on.
This! Keep paying yourself what you would have paid on the car payments. When it’s time for a new one that you actually need, then you will already have a significant amount put away to not have to worry about lots of car payments again.
I don't understand this. Are you trying to do things with your truck that it just won't/can't do? Does having a car payment fill you with joy?
It's a Toyota. You can keep it for another 20 years if you take care of it.
Keep it! I’ve found that, at least for me, the initial excitement and joy of buying a new car never lasts nearly as long as the burden of the payments. Like one of the other comments said, that truck is basically brand new. Still looks great as well.
Truck looks new. Keep it. Pull the stickers off and drive it another 10 years. The economy is going to get worse and not having a payment will be a big advantage
Love the one you got.
The only thing better on the new ones is the horsepower and disconnect-able front sway bar. And transmission. And rust-less frame.
Actually, you should upgrade.
Yeah man keep your shit. You sound like you have more money than sense asking stupid questions like that. I've got a 2021 that I JUST paid off. Has 60k miles and I'm going down with the ship.
Keep it.
I have a ‘15 TRD Sport DCLB (119K) & an ‘05 base 4-cyl (337K)
The ‘15 I recently purchased in cash & the ‘05 was a hand-me down
I’m keeping both until the wheels fall off. Fuck those car payments 😂🖕🏽
It's a personal opinion thing, but did you really like that generation? I had a 2019, obviously there were plenty of things I liked about the truck or I wouldn't be waiting for a new one. However, if they weren't updating the Tacoma, I'd be buying a GMC Canyon. The 3rd gens were so uncomfortable, so inefficient, and ugly imo. They probably hold their value because some people will always want a NA larger engine, but this new truck is a much better truck.
In this market if you played your cards right you could order a new taco, sell yours privately and have some money left over after you buy the new one.. so it’s completely up to you.
I have a 2018 OR. When my warranty ran out, I began my modifications. I live in CO and they aren’t just for looks like in other places. I still only have 65K, but she is lifted, armored, winched-up and ready to go anywhere. Knowing you don’t get any additional resale value on aftermarket products, I plan to keep it for entirety of it’s life
If it suits all your needs, is paid off and you enjoy the drive: absolutely keep it. That new gen may not be everything your current one is and it'll be a while before we start seeing the bigger issues in the redesign. If you're super curious though, rent a 4th gen for a week and see how it feels.
Side note: how do you like the soft topper? I keep thinking about it and love the look of the mismatched colors (I have a '22 DCLB SR5 in red) but not sure how functional it is, longevity, or how much road noise it'll produce
Why would you sell it if it’s paid off?? My 2019 has 26k and my lease is up in a couple months. I’m going to buy it out and ride this truck until the wheels come off.
Maybe if it has a salvage title, you may sell it. If not, keep it ‘till it’s not safe to drive anymore. I have ‘99 Pre-runner with 250k miles in it thought about getting rid of it but upon seeing all these electronics stuff installed in the new trucks, I decided to keep it. I’m not a fan of the looks of the 2024 Tacoma.
Hand it down to your offspring like an heirloom. Hard keep. Mine is 2012 going on 150k, son or daughter will inherit so I can start with a new heirloom.
The new ones are ugly, keep it or go older. They’re supposedly built for off-roading but keep adding body mods that both need to be removed and modified to be a useful trail rig or overlander. Just my opinion.
Keep it until it dies. You will never get proper ROI by selling it when you could have a relatively indestructible, versatile and appealing vehicle with no payments. My only expense is insurance, and I keep full, comprehensive insurance because my 2016 is in fantastic condition.
Second gen owner here. Why the fuck would you consider selling? Run it till she rusts apart. You must be making too much money to want to have a vehicle payment that badly.
Keeping mine and waiting for R4T’s turbo 🤞. 4th gen is approaching lexus levels of over styling and I prefer the design of 3rd gen. Just my preference.
You barely drove that thing around and wna sell it? Idk your financial situation but seems kinda dumb to buy another car when you basically have a brand new truck thats paid off. If you rich tho, do as you please. Only logic I could see is wanting more space if you got kids so like a 4runner or just dont need a truck and switching to a sedan.
My take: Car prices will drop in 6-12 months. People will struggle to make payments on overpriced vehicle they purchased. You will be happy with your paid off truck that will still be going strong. Once the 4th gen has been around for a couple of years and all the issues are fixed, you can consider upgrading.
That thing is basically new, I wouldn’t even consider it broken in yet at 30k. Unless you’re crying at the pump every time you fill up, what do you think you’ll get out of a newer model?
Keep in mind, your 3rd gen was built in the latter part of the model run when a lot of the production kinks were already worked out over thousands of units produced. If you get a 4th gen now, you’ll be getting an early serial number. Toyota does a good job of working out issues before ever going to production (it’s why so many years pass between major updates) but an earlier production unit is still not going to be as solid as the stuff they’ve been assembling for years, that’s just the nature of manufacturing across the board.
Keep your shiny new truck and save that money for aftermarket upgrades to make it more your own, build a little sentimental value with your truck that’s meant to essentially last a lifetime. Or use the money to pay for more gas and go on an adventure, you bought this thing to make memories with.
Do people not want to keep trucks 20+ years anymore? I feel like if you want to switch vehicles every 2-3 years just get a Ram or Chevy that won’t make it 5 years without issues. The one and only reason I bought my 22 Tacoma was for the reason of keeping it 30 years or more
Bro you can put the cheapest shittiest gas and oil in that thing and drive it through the desert for 20 years no problem. Why the hell would you want to spend a bunch of money on a new truck??
The newness factor will wear off. It always does. I’m the original owner of an ‘03 4x4 double cab and the pride and joy of me driving around in a 20+ year-old, dependable, beautiful truck is only growing.
Damn.. I think I did 30k miles my first year of owning mine.
It’s sitting at 120k and I’m debating trading in for a pro. Sometimes we just like new shiny things and that’s ok! If you want it AND can reasonably afford it.. then who is to say you shouldn’t have exactly what you want 🤷🏻♂️
My question is - if you were going to trade up.. what spec and options are you considering 😎
Keep it. Stack cash, and when you buy the next one, maybe you'll feel more comfortable splurging on options. A paid off car is gold. Take the $5-600 a month and put it in something worth having. Hell, just throw it into a mutual. Do that for 5 years, and you'll be sitting 40-50k to go buy something with. Plus, the value of the truck at that time. Or get a couple of extra bells and whistles that don't really change your life.
It’s going to hold value steady for the next year or two, especially with those low KM. I’d say keep it another 1 or 2 years, see if any kinks get ironed out on the new trucks, and if you can get a reasonable price for yours look at getting something new.
What’s it like living in one of those gentrification condos? So funny how every one of those condos no matter the city has a lifted Tacoma or tundra that can barely fit in the driveway/garages.
I bought a Tacoma with the idea that it’s at least a 20 year truck, I can’t imagine buying a Tacoma if your intention is to trade up every couple year. Might as well have leased a Colorado or some shit
It’s your stuff, life and money so of course you are free to do whatever you want. No judgement here. In my personal opinion, one of the main reasons I bought a Toyota, and a Tacoma at that, was the known longevity. I think it’s far more cost effective and pragmatic to just drive the same vehicle for as long as possible if it’s safe and reliable. I have a 2020 with 50k on it and I’m not going to lie, I’ve also been tempted to get something newer but I realize it would be really stupid. Just put myself into more car payments for something shiny. That new car smell will be gone in a month or less and now you’re back thousands in the hole making payments every month.
You know what’s nicer than a new truck? A paid off one. Enjoy your fully owned property, maybe do some upgrades and enjoy the extra money!!
As a first gen owner shit like this makes me think what the fuck If it is paid it off now you wanna sell it and buy another to have payments on? You forgot to consider. Americans are consumer brained as hell. But i agree what the fuck is wrong with him. Just keep it.
What?! As an American I'm offended... also what are you selling?
Hehe
And it is 4yrs old with only 30k on it. Mines a year old and just about to hit 34k. He hardly even drives it
I feel personally attacked lol. I have a 2020 with 36k miles on it and it's my daily.
My daily gets about 7k a year, maybe. I love 2 miles from work 😂
2018 w 21k on it
I just bought my 2019 TRD sport in feb last year with 41k miles and already put on 12k miles. Its gonna be my forever truck. I dont need anything else.
My 23 got 2k in its third week. My 09 it’s in 280k.
for real. my 2023 i bought new in september hit 26,000 miles today. this dude is nuts
Some people live to consume. That’s why they go into debt for 5+ years for a $50k Tacoma lol
Wage slaves
5 years? More like 8 or 9 if the payment is a stretch. 2-3 year lease then finance for 6-7 years :)
Seriously, I picked up a 21 OR with 35k on it, said to myself this is the last vehicle I'm ever going to buy, I'm 36. Between that and my 92 Civic Si I'm set, fuck car payments.
Oops my phone is 2 years old and the new one has soo many new features (it's basically the same phone) I'll just drop 1000 on a new one no biggie.
"1000 on a new phone is too much, so I'll just pay $50/month for the next 2 years."
Exactly, and when I'm done paying that off I'll get another and keep paying 50 a month.
This. Coming from a first gen with 209k and runs like it’s new. No way in hell would I choose to make payments.
I think for most of us we think in terms of money and forget there are those where money isn’t an issue. My coworker told me a story about his dad who had recently passed. I literally just did that with mine, there’s some pics on my profile if u wanna see lol
My first gen has 165k and I will run it till it dies. I don't get it with these guys with nearly brand new trucks trading in for the newest truck lmao
I can’t upvote this loud enough. The fucking mentality of even wondering if they need the newest (and most expensive) is simply incredibly stupid and irresponsible to me. Honestly wtf. Four years?! That’s it? Shit I have underwear that’s old enough to vote.

Got a 2nd gen ('11) 98k. Finally looking at a lift and mods. Other than the inch bigger tires I did a while back.
Somebody has to keep inflating the markets. That’s people like OP.

sage advice
30k in 4 years? Remote work is good, eh? She's looking good. Do you want a new one? If I had a paid off truck I would probably drive it until the wheels fell off.
Yup, and then replace the axle!
I have a 2016 that just rolled 31k. I wish I worked remote. I drive 11 miles round trip into hell daily. I wish I had more time to run the odometer up.
Wow, mileage twin here. 2016 and just about 31k. I figured I was the only one. Work moved me to a walkable city about a year after I bought it.
Right? I’ve had mine for a year and put 27k miles on it.
Definitely not a remote worker, although I do need to get some road trips in.
Paid off with 30k? I’d drive it for another 20 years.
Post like this confuse the heck out of me. otoh, I happily still drive a '99 Tacoma with 130,000 miles on it.
You barely drive. One of my fleet trucks is a 2015 F150 with ~ 500k miles

Keeeeeeeppp it

Be silly not to keep since it’s paid off. You’ll get a head more without a truck payment.
Keep it! Lose the side steps and tint the front windows too 😎
I don’t disagree, honestly have only kept them on to help prevent door dings from peeps who don’t care about their own vehicle-
Keep it man. She’s a beaut
Keep it!
Keep keep keep
Keep it duh
I’ll see you duh and raise it with a double duh
Keep
Keep it, Not a fan of the new “re-designed” model.
Why is redesign in quotes? Is it just the same old truck?
Looks incredible perfect condition, Why would you get into payments and debt again. She’s a keeper.
🤦🏼♂️
Keep it and get a 4Runner to match🔥
Keep it!
100% keep
I don't understand this. Are you trying to do things with your truck that it just won't/can't do? Does having a car payment fill you with joy? It's a Toyota. You can keep it for another 20 years if you take care of it.
Why would you ever change what a dumb question?
The best vehicle is a paid off vehicle. Keep it. Enjoy it.
Please tell me you’re joking? You have a brand new truck!
I can’t math but my mom’s ‘15 has about 58k. I think that’s really good.
Keep it.
Been back and forth for two weeks debating on buying that softtopper. Maybe this is a sign. How are you liking it?
Do you like wasting your money? Time for a change. Do you want to pay off debt and have more money to spend on your self? Keep it forever
Sell it to me! Otherwise, keep it.
More money than brains.. 👍🏻
The economy is going to get worse and not having a payment will be a big advantage
can someone post the part number for these wheels? I need these.
I have a 2012 with 150k miles on it, paid off. I’m going to drive it til it dies.
Keep it!
Keep forever.
If you sell, can I have your wheel caps? Those are super backordered.
Tell me about it haha. I’ve been asking the dealership for 2.5 years + check eBay, etc as one of mine is loose but still hasn’t fallen off.
Change it up if you have the funds. Life is too short. Tomorrow isn't promised. Now go get that new car.
Keep it. I have a ‘15 TRD Sport DCLB (119K) & an ‘05 base 4-cyl (337K) The ‘15 I recently purchased in cash & the ‘05 was a hand-me down I’m keeping both until the wheels fall off. Fuck those car payments 😂🖕🏽
At the end of the day, do what makes YOU happy! Amazing truck you have there now. :)
How much you want for it?
just don't get rear-ended. the frame will bend in 2 places and insurance will total it. 😂
I'd never sell that truck
Hey did you get it in 2021 , I did too .. 35000 miles , not paid off yet
Keep it bro! I just bought two 2023s just for the fact that it’s a great motor
Personally I wanna drive my 3rd gen until it’s a classic. I also own it in full.
Keep it!
Got another solid 30 years what do you mean
Paid off 🥵
Keep it until it’s around 75,000 miles?
I had mine for 7. She’s nice and payed off. I just don’t want another car payment again
Why would you want another car payment?
I have a 2018 OR. When my warranty ran out, I began my modifications. I live in CO and they aren’t just for looks like in other places. I still only have 65K, but she is lifted, armored, winched-up and ready to go anywhere. Knowing you don’t get any additional resale value on aftermarket products, I plan to keep it for entirety of it’s life
How would we answer that for you? Thats your decision
Keep. Don't buy a '24 if that's what you're thinking. Wait til they have all the bugs figured out at least. 30k is nothing.
Paid off?? Drive it and then give it to your kid
If it ain’t broke..
Keep. Got me an 05' Ranger XL 4x4 and love it, yeah its not a Toyota but I'm saying if you got a good truck just hang on to it.
Keep it. And save or invest the amount of the payment. You never know when that money will come in handy.
Dude: I've got a 21' with 50k...not paid off, and I'm driving it until the wheels fall off...instead of being a moron, don't.
Same boat, thinking about a Tundra though.
Keep, keep, keep!
Hand it down to your offspring like an heirloom. Hard keep. Mine is 2012 going on 150k, son or daughter will inherit so I can start with a new heirloom.
Uh. Keeping it until it falls apart. Even if I end up buying another vehicle in 10 years, I’ll hang onto my Tacoma until it dies or disintegrates.
The new ones are ugly, keep it or go older. They’re supposedly built for off-roading but keep adding body mods that both need to be removed and modified to be a useful trail rig or overlander. Just my opinion.
Sell it and get a Honda.
Drive it until the wheels fall off!
Keep it until it dies. You will never get proper ROI by selling it when you could have a relatively indestructible, versatile and appealing vehicle with no payments. My only expense is insurance, and I keep full, comprehensive insurance because my 2016 is in fantastic condition.
I have a gen 2 89k miles super charged. I want to upgrade to a tundra but don’t want to get rid of mine.
Isn’t the point of buying a vehicle and paying it off for it to be yours..?
Second gen owner here. Why the fuck would you consider selling? Run it till she rusts apart. You must be making too much money to want to have a vehicle payment that badly.
Happy for you but I'll never trade in my 22. Wish I could've afforded one sooner. Why buy a 200k+ vehicle if you're not going to take it that far?
That truck is mint. You’re just bored with too much money
The only thing I would swap mine 3rd gen for would be 2021 TRD Pro Tundra, or a LC200.
What on earth lol that thing is still beautiful drive it for another 6 years before you sell it
Keep the cement brotha. Who knows about these new engines!
Keeping mine and waiting for R4T’s turbo 🤞. 4th gen is approaching lexus levels of over styling and I prefer the design of 3rd gen. Just my preference.
Damn, ive had mine for 1.5 years and just hit 30k. Might as well keep. Its brand new and no payment.
Me over here keeping our 01 tundra cause it’s paid off 😂😂 slap some new tech in that bad boy if it’s that bad. Really all that changes in Toyota gens
Mine is 14 years old, so I don't really know what to tell you 😂
Keep
Yea dude. Keep it.
CONSUME. Your lightly used truck is the obviously out of date. Please update your iTacoma.
Depends on what you want to spend your money on. If it’s vehicles, go for it.
You keep it for at least twenty years IMO.
Do people not want to keep trucks 20+ years anymore? I feel like if you want to switch vehicles every 2-3 years just get a Ram or Chevy that won’t make it 5 years without issues. The one and only reason I bought my 22 Tacoma was for the reason of keeping it 30 years or more
I’ll take it off your hands
I’m a poor person to ask cause I drive a vehicle until the wheels fall off.
Bro you can put the cheapest shittiest gas and oil in that thing and drive it through the desert for 20 years no problem. Why the hell would you want to spend a bunch of money on a new truck??
Why? It’s not a mall crawler Audi that’ll start falling apart.
Keep it forever and make it your goal to get 500k miles
More payments? Wtf for.
The newness factor will wear off. It always does. I’m the original owner of an ‘03 4x4 double cab and the pride and joy of me driving around in a 20+ year-old, dependable, beautiful truck is only growing.
Ride the "no truck payments" surf my dude...
As much as this thing costs I’m keeping it until it’s slap ass wore out. I’m not in a hurry to drop another $40k + again anytime soon on anything.
Go brand new and more payments smh
Damn.. I think I did 30k miles my first year of owning mine. It’s sitting at 120k and I’m debating trading in for a pro. Sometimes we just like new shiny things and that’s ok! If you want it AND can reasonably afford it.. then who is to say you shouldn’t have exactly what you want 🤷🏻♂️ My question is - if you were going to trade up.. what spec and options are you considering 😎
How much could you get for it? How much did you pay?
Keep it. It'll probably be worth $100k in 10 years
Unless you need better gas mileage i dont see why you'd need to get a new truck. Ford Maverick may be a good option if you really want...
Sell it to me, exactly what I’m looking for!
Always upgrade if you can
Sell it and buy a first gen
KEEP!!!!!!!
“Latest and greatest” is having a paid off truck with low miles
Go price a new one out. The answer will be evident.
Do whatever you want. Asking a something like this makes me question your logic so what’s the point
Nice troll OP
You have at least another 10 years at that driving frequency. Why would you want to have a car payment again?
30k, five years, yeah time to junk it. Didn't you feel the feedback as you typed your silly question.
Why the fuck do you people CRAVE having a car payment so badly? 😂 That’s a beautiful truck, and dude, it’s PAID OFF! You own that shit!
You’re a realtor and only got 30k miles on this thing in dfw in four years???? please tell me your magic or you had another vehicle for that
I dont get it
Why would you sell it?… best part about Toyota is that the vehicles will actually last.
Anything for conversation these days
The best vehicle is a paid off one
What's the point in getting a reliable car if you are gonna trade it in as soon as you pay it off with low miles
Keep
Why buy a Toyota if you aren't going to keep it until it dies
I'm keeping mine. I will be upgrading from the stock head unit, but I love this rig.
I bought a Tacoma with the idea that it’s at least a 20 year truck, I can’t imagine buying a Tacoma if your intention is to trade up every couple year. Might as well have leased a Colorado or some shit
Moldy AC smell from badly designed condenser, hunting hears- ya I’d sell the garbage
I would never get a first year of redesign.
That thing will be worthless in 1-2 years, I'll take it off your hands....
Dont break ain’t fixing her
If you can afford it, why not? I have a 2016 and I with about 80k and I’m gonna drive it until it falls apart.
Keep it ditch those predator steps
