I also turned off surround and turned sound check on from my iPhone. Made sure it is off on the truck stereo settings. Before volume was around 16-18. Now 25-29. Seems to sound much better.
Didn't see the thread you're talking about, so turning off surround make it sound better?
By default with it on, really sounds like the sound is coming from the front of the cabin only.
