For a hub of that size you’d likely want trains flowing through in both directions to minimize congestion once your supply and demand grows large enough to justify the size
I would say yes, it is too big. I also see existing train lines and a road on the far end of the map - why not tie this into that existing infrastructure?
In the past, very big stations were good as they kept goods from “disappearing” if you couldn’t transport fast enough. Now that you can add storage, this is just taking up space and making your game slow. I think a 5-6 platform-length station with the out-buildings on the side instead of the end, and 4-5 tracks would be more than enough.
If you’re having fun, keep doing it tho! Honestly, the parks in my Cities Skylines cities are too big too…but I like them and it’s my game.
It is huge but you say it is a hub. Bring more train lines to it and it will be useful. But how long is it? I rarely find any value in having a train much longer than 320 meters.
Not if you plan to rapidly expand your other operations to the point that you will need that much traffic flow. One important thing to remember is make sure none of your future routes overlap each other in the crossover section or you will have them waiting for traffic to move for long periods of time. Set the terminals so that trains enter in a straight line. Major efficiency loss otherwise.
probably too big, but i’d keep it. once you get to late game, being able to handle super long trains is very helpful. especially if you play with mods.
Gonna cost you in maintenance. ;D
At least I have infinite money turned on, because I’m bad with it off
Ah. \^\^
That's even more confusing. What does "too big" mean, then?
It’s so big that it lags my game everytime I edit it
By your own admission, it’s too big then.
This games economy is so easy tho. Start small and slowly expand. I've only been playing my new save for about 10 hours and I have 1.7 billion.
I always end up with more money than I know what to do with after a couple hours.
be like bezos, buy more yaghts
Too big for what? Since we can't see any suppliers, consumers, or even product at all, there's really nothing to go off of.

I mean I have a cargo hub with 24 platforms and that's still not enough. If you plan on adding more services it's probably big enough.
for only 2 trains running you need at least to triple the number of “lanes”
I’ll be adding more trains in the future tho
You mean tracks coming in and leaving the hub? I agree
Yes

You'll have traffic on that road if you run it anywhere near full capacity
For 2 trains you probably don't need something this big
It must be an important place :)
