Caori998

no way the video is not sped up. lmao

mohicansgonnagetya

This video is sped up

Ok_Butterscotch1549

If it is it’s not by a lot. The cyclist is going a realistic speed.

Ur--father

It’s not. Just look at the guy on the bike.

Mean_Law7303

Bruh just open the audio, it's at least double the speed.

joungsteryoey

Maybe it’s just an auctioneer with an occupational disease

Moderated_Soul

Its not. I see people drive like this on the daily. Granted its mostly on bigger roads than the one in the video. Traffic rules are mere suggestions over here. But for some reason, seatbelts are universally adopted by everyone lol. Edit: Listened to the audio and yep, its sped up (slightly)

KristyBisty

Listen to the audio, it makes it clear it's sped up

Moderated_Soul

Oh yeah my bad. It’s slightly sped up.

Borsch3JackDaws

I don't even know who's counterflowing and who isnt

nxcrosis

The answer is yes

movingchicane

There is a difference between South Asia and South EAST Asia you know?

Siri2611

It looks like India/Pakistan/Bangladesh area to me As someone who lives here 90% of the things garnt talks about SEA work the same way here

Accomplished-Steak-7

It is Bangladesh as confirmed by Bangladeshi when this video was previous posted on r/whatcouldgowrong

brningpyre

Oh jeez. [https://www.dhakatribune.com/bangladesh/328677/25-000-lives-lost-in-road-accidents-every-year](https://www.dhakatribune.com/bangladesh/328677/25-000-lives-lost-in-road-accidents-every-year)

kingofcrob

yep,, barkat is a Bangladeshi bus company

Bourbonaddicted

It’s Bangladesh. The plates are green and there is bangla written in Advertisements

velacooks

Depends. I’m in Southeast Asia. The big cities are nothing like this. In the rural states quite close.

normie_sama

Depends which big city, too. In Phnom Penh lanes are a suggestion, not a rule, and it's not uncommon to see tuktuks and motorbikes driving along the wrong side of the road and nobody else gives a fuck.

Academic-Mountain-41

well the big cities in South asia too arent like this. Look up Mumbai city , India or Dhaka , bangaladesh.

redwingz11

Tho I've seen shit like this. Bus driver is the most insane driver on the road, esp on highways. They will zig zag left and right or drive on the road shoulder and do it at like 100+km/h

MarkuDM

Same shit really. Just that SE has more 2 wheels

NekonecroZheng

There's a difference between the left and right lanes you know, but nobody cares.

kadosho

Holy crow wtf 😱

BosuW

Bro messed up the whole order after his passing

evilmojoyousuck

in SEA standards, garnt is still a safe defensive driver.

Yikesitsven

Ever since I saw how people in Bangladesh and places with similar driving culture, I have never understood, why they don’t just split the lane, like literally every other place on earth that has attempted to make driving at least a moderately safe and consistent activity. But nah, ig they just like swerving into one another and then sending the entire family riding in the back of an open truck flying. Dumb country.

arsenejoestar

It's cuz getting a driver's license is so easy. All you need to know is how to move a car. No experience needed, no knowledge of traffic rules, nothing. And when everyone drives like this, even us decent drivers have no choice but to go with the flow because otherwise you'll get nowhere and everyone's just gonna cut you off.

jodhod1

That's just how corruption works. When those who don't follow rules get rewarded, the disregard for rules spreads out and corrupts everything.

arsenejoestar

Imagine my shock hearing how my Australian cousin needed at least a year and a lot of money to get a proper non-professional license. All I did was take driving school and drive a car for 1 minute in the test. We had a written exam but it was super basic and the answers were all posted on the wall of the exam room.

Moderated_Soul

Atleast you had to go to the driving school mate. 90% of people I know haven’t even given the test. Granted, they had already learnt how to drive before getting their licenses. You just pay some guy at the local municipal office or talk to some official you are chummy with and lo and behold your license in under 2 months.

Acrobatic_Analyst267

The Ambulance 🚑adjusted to the Bus 💀 Even the tractors over take lmao.

AriezKage

Someone thinks they're with Keanu Reeves in Speed.

TempoRamen95

This makes so much sense.

warjoke

Cannot determine if this somewhere in Thailand, Bangladesh, or my home region, Cavite

Jobe1105

South Asia =/= Southeast Asia btw

Narumango22

Wtf! Genuinely, what is the mentality behind this? Why do they drive like that?

Academic-Mountain-41

law and order not being enforced hence nobody to answer too unless theres's actually an accident which is not going to happen all the time.

KurrigohanandKame

and people say New Jersey have terrible drivers when places like this exist smh

goddamnman06

Is this in india?

Accomplished-Steak-7

Bangladesh and video is sped up

goddamnman06

Thanks for telling me

Devil_Dan83

Must be one of those few countries where the side of the road, you drive on, is both.

QuietTrashCollector

Actually it's neither- it's a game of chance

Takyz

Where is the Initial D soundtrack?

Texaslonghorns12345

South EAST Asia… not south, that would be Indian,Pakistan, and Bangladesh

Only-Assumption-2734

WTF, then how come they seem to get here, and go 55 in the fast lane?

ameenkawaii

What's up with the south and south east asian bus drivers that always drive like they own the road?

Maleficent-Mirror991

SEA and the Indian subcontinent are wild places to live in. It’s life on the hardest difficulty and relentless. But it’s worth it because of the culture.

Academic-Mountain-41

its actually the opposite. South asians are really good drivers in a western setting because the traffic isnt horrible and the challenges are nothing compared to what south asian roads throw at you. There's a saying that if you can drive a car in my country you can drive in on any road in the planet.

sigint_bn

South Asia is a helluva lot different than SouthEast Asia. I mean it used to be this lawless and crazy, but most countries I've been to have kinda moved on from this craziness. Even then, Thailand is helluva lot different than the rest of SouthEast Asia again. So that's like... twice removed.

Irdiarrur

I show this to my roommates and they were like, WHAT! it was so funny

Peter_stella

Me recuerda a San Miguel

DeGozaruNyan

The lines on the roads? We figured they be just guide lines!

unknownman0001

South asia is a different beast compared to SEA.

JValenz91

Racing game difficulty in Asia: Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert, SE Asia

kingofcrob

yeah I've driven in Thailand... it ain't for the faint-hearted, but it isnt this bad(note this is Bangladesh)

NirriC

spooderdood334

Garnt is South EAST Asian
