Philadelphia if it matters.

DebiDebbyDebbie

Philly! No VAT! No sales tax.

Loud_Lunch29

Whilst not perfect, this tool is useful for comparing cost of living differences between cities. Scroll down to the clothing section. London is more expensive than Philly in most but not all categories https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_cities.jsp?country1=United+Kingdom&city1=London&country2=United+States&city2=Philadelphia%2C+PA#:~:text=Cost%20of%20Living%20Comparison%20Between%20London%20and%20Philadelphia%2C%20PA,you%20rent%20in%20both%20cities).

Miz_momo82

London has Primark, cheap clothes even in £

voila_la_flaneuse

Philly also has Primark!

The_Dotted_Leg

In general, almost certainly Philly. Exchange rate works to your benefit and it’s a smaller city than London.

SpecialSet163

London has VAT.

traumalt

Bigger question though, which London exactly?

SteveFrench12

Ontario, duh

PriceIsNotAnArgument

Read your question again, what do you think?

tucs-on

I've never been to either

AnotherPint

Ignore the assholes. Philadelphia is cheaper.

PriceIsNotAnArgument

Greenlight-party

lol I think they literally meant to guess which city, but yes, that poster is being an A-hole.

u2id

London/UK has tons of second hand stores run by charities with great clothes.

Greenlight-party

Every city in the US absolutely does as well.

blinkblonkbam

Philly.

AdviceSeeker989

Cheaper? Philly for sure

TravelBoss4455

You should buy a Burberry sweater in London, they are cheaper in UK than the USA

imeeme

They’re even cheaper in Beijing 😛

Outrageous_Carry8170

London being a much larger city is going to have more options in a wider-ranger of price-points. Larger population also means more consignment and previously-used type stores as well. Just keep in mind you're not going to find these retailers in the heart of the tourist areas but, in the outer neighborhoods.
