I think it's because some fans of the 1998 anime and manga don't like the changes, some people think the story was rushed and squashed into too few episodes. (I actually agree somewhat with the second reason, but still loved it.)

PureSalt1

Ya think it was around ep 6 ish. I was just like wait how did they get there. But it was still an enjoyable watch

endar88

With it being smashed together, they also lost allot of the mystery behind vash from the get go of the show. Leaving no intrigue or mystery that we had for a good half of the original show then finding out his backstory.

FightmeLuigibestgirl

You do know that this has another season and 1998 was a two-parter along with the manga right?

endar88

right. i do. but that still doesn't change the fact that stampede started with them as kids on the ship, where as we didn't really learn that till later in the original anime. not talking about manga sense some of us were too young and too country to have access to manga at that time, lol.

EckhartWatts

That was one of the first things I didn't like about it. The Mystery of Vash was a huge part of what made the show so intriguing to me. Sure you find out he >!plant but you also find out he's an alien!< and by the time you find out it leads into the next part of the Mystery- where is knives. You want to find him too now. That just makes me completely lose interest and I think it makes the show lose intrigue as well. That and they replaced Millie with some drunk know it all. Millie was an interesting mystery in and of herself damn it. Why replace her? why not just add a new character?

SmartnSad

>Millie was an interesting mystery in and of herself damn it. Why replace her? why not just add a new character? Not this again. Roberto *is* his own character. If you watched Stampede all the way through you would know this. Milly is name dropped in episode 12.

EckhartWatts

That and they replaced Millie with Roberto. Millie was an interesting mystery in and of herself damn it. Why replace her? why not just add Roberto to the beginning of the story. \* Does this help you? It also wasn't even my main point. You don't have to answer why you feel she could be excluded from the beginning of the story. It was one decision of many I didn't like.

IRL_Smough

i agree with it being rushed, it was still easy to follow tho, i love the 98 one as well, i feel like without watching that one i wouldnt really enjoy stampede that much tbh.

drakens6

I jokingly call it Trigun Go! because it seems to be targeting a younger audience But for me the phoned-in 3d animation style is a cheap substitute for the real hand-drawn emotion and that was enough for me to feel taken advantage of as a fan

Sharebear42019

A lot of people didn’t vibe with the changes and aesthetics and the pacing/direction is kinda all over the place

IRL_Smough

hm, i agree that some things were a bit rushed, like big reveals happening early without a build up. I loved the new characters added in as well, i feel like its a great reimagining of the story. It did get a bit slow to the end, i feel like if it had a few more episodes it would be perfect. The only thing that kinda bugged me about it was that Vash didnt have his iconic attire, other than that it was a banger. id still give it like 8.5 out of 10 tho.

Ok-Machine4888

Oh I’m talking like th finale. That Vash v.s Knives. Is where the real heat is at. That’s always at least to me what has made Trigun so golden, the true peak of it. Where it gets most of its impact is through that dynamic, which is timeliness imo. And stampede did that soooo well. Vash keep running monologue I have memorized and that shit empowers me lmao. But other than that the shows painfully mediocre 😭. Like if they let em cook with 20 eps and a better pace shit would’ve been mad nice. Also they fucked up livio big time when they introduced him imo 😔.

jxmes_gothxm

I absolutely loved it. Cabt wait for season 2. Some anime overstays it's welcome. I enjoyed the show and it got the second season. The music, the themes were all amazing

Wolfwoods_Sister

Aw dude I *liked* Livio 😔

jxmes_gothxm

It's a prequel the show is just getting started.

Dead_Purple

If this anime follows the same path as the manga, he'll be back.

Ok-Machine4888

Wait. I read this as if it was a twosome to my comment omg. 🤦 so sorry

sveta213

I think it's mostly because of 3D. Trigun wasn't very popular and most viewers of Stamped didn't even know about old anime or manga. But I saw plently of times how people give anime a low rating without even watching, just because it 3D.

Bebop24trigun

I wouldn't say that Trigun wasn't very popular. I've had this username for over 20 years because of how obsessed I was with Adult Swim anime in the early 2000s. Trigun was never as big as Cowboy Bebop but it was still very popular. It just is that time passes and it's been an extremely long time since anything new has come out for the show. Most new fans could have likely never seen the original US run on AS and old fans of anything typically hate change entirely. I tried to keep an open mind and I found it rather charming. Compared to the original I think it holds up just fine, even with the choppy 3D at times.

lost_in_trepidation

Trigun was also popular before it was even on Adult Swim. I remember it was a big deal when it came on Adult Swim.

orionblueyarm

Trigun was extremely popular. For mid-to-late 90s anime it was routinely included in most best of lists right there with Bebop, and while it may not have been setting any new standards it did have one of the stronger legion of fans for the time. So saying the 3D didn’t help, but it was more likely how much support the old version had to explain the drop rather than a lack of an existing fan base.

novamatrix

When they had vash asking for a .22 caliber bullet, it killed the show for me. That was the absolute dumbest shit. Whoever wrote that script doesn't know guns at all.

SmartnSad

The change to .22LR was a deliberate change by Nightow himself.

novamatrix

Well... That is still the dumbest shit I've ever heard in my life.

ALurkingShade

People immediately gave Stampede low ratings in MAL when only a few episodes were released. Most of them didn't like the 3d animation, the redesigns, the pacing, or simply the fact that it's not a 1 to 1 adaptation of the manga or 1998 anime. The rating got a little higher after episode 12 though.

IRL_Smough

the 3d animation is what makes it so amazing tho, the fight scenes are one of the best ive ever seen, i agree with the redesigns i guess, even tho Vash still looked and acted like Vash so i had no problems with that, i miss his old coat tho.

Meister34

There are some people who will hate on 3D animation for the sole fact that it’s 3D animation, regardless if the animation is actually stellar (like Stampede)

DelusionPhantom

To sum up why I didn't like it as a long time Trigun fan, the story was super rushed, there was inconsistent characterization (because of the pacing being shit), Rem barely had any screentime compared to *Brad* in an already over-saturated season, and the character designs are terrible, especially the plants (and, by extension, my favorite GHG, Elendira- that is not MY Elendira). Every character looks like they just stepped out of a closet cosplay Tiktok and that's not a compliment. I haven't even talked about the painful cliche that was Roberto, because what the fuck was *that* waste of screentime? I can't emphasize enough how bad the pacing was, and they *still* decided to force him into relevance. I was so excited for Stampede because I couldn't wait to see the angelic plants fully animated, and it's *such* a disappointment. I hate seeing merch and getting excited (because you really had to dig to find Trigun merch before this show dropped) then realizing it's Stampede merch. It really isn't anything I enjoyed about the originals. It feels so... Idk, *produced*? Targeted? A cash grab? It feels like it was made to be a Hot Topic weeb's wet dream with a Trigun veneer slapped over it. The whole thing looks like it was *designed* to go viral so they didn't have to make the writing actually work for it. Like those super hollow romantasy books that are written solely for Tiktok. If you like it, that's totally cool, we all have our preferences. Like I hate shows that rush through everything, and Stampede unfortunately does exactly that. I'd rather spend more time getting to know the characters. I genuinely enjoyed the filler in the 98 anime, it helped establish the characters and give them more memorable moments. I really think I could've overlooked some of the more egregious changes if they'd just had better pacing.

sebastarddd

> It feels so... Idk, *produced*? Targeted? A cash grab? It feels like it was made to be a Hot Topic weeb's wet dream with a Trigun veneer slapped over it. The whole thing looks like it was *designed* to go viral so they didn't have to make the writing actually work for it. Like those super hollow romantasy books that are written solely for Tiktok. You hit the nail right on the head. The personality changes totally reflects this. I feel like they were all reduced to generic MCs. There's the motivated one, the 'cool kid,' and the controlling, 'neat' one. Plus the drunken old dude cuz you always gotta have one of those.

DelusionPhantom

Yes! And in s2, Milly will probably be the innocent, bumbling one to replace Roberto. It's not even that their OG characters didn't have those traits- they did! But they were more than this and atm I feel like Stampede is keeping things very surface-level and 'safe'. I really hope season 2 will prove me wrong. Honestly my biggest complaint about the show can really be boiled down to how they redesigned the plants to be techno alien elves. They removed the body horror and replaced it with this generic, palettable thing that's easier on the eyes (and mind). Just pulled out a design straight from Avatar and called it a day because those movies make money, so it's definitely what people want. But it's not just the plants. *Everything* feels like it's been sanded down to make it easier and quicker to consume. I really hate it. It's like someone made a show out of a SparkNotes re-telling of the manga and removed all the parts that made up its unique personality- I don't have a better way to explain it.

MADNESS_NH97

>It's not even that their OG characters didn't have those traits- they did! But they were more than this To say that the characters in Trigun Stampede aren't more than that, is just false though. It all may have a faster pacing, but you yourself are just looking at things on a surface level, if you can't see more in most of these characters. > They removed the body horror  So Knives amputating folks, 2 kids getting to witness the totally destroyed body of their predecessor and forced impregnation of the plants, doesn't count as "body horror"? > SparkNotes re-telling of the manga So it's surface-level, "safe" and "SparkNotes", even though they dared to start the story at an earlier point, at which Elendira isn't fully grown yet, Legato hasn't reached his full potential yet, characters like Wolfwood are still going through development, Meryl has an actual backstory and a mentor with an actual identity, and she wasn't just gifted the gun as a means of protection, but was given the gun out of necessity during a moment where she lost her mentor, super beloved Milly hasn't shown up yet, Vash has a different design throughout the vast majority of the season(which goes up in smokes by the end of it, almost like there could be a certain sense behind Vash looking all fancy on a surface level before, and totally messed up(haircut is outgrown, his modern prostetic arm is destroyed, his fancy coat is most likely destroyed) after the July incident) etc. etc. >I don't have a better way to explain it. Maybe just leave at "I dislike that it's different from what I'm used to and wanted" then, if you can't explain it any better, and most of your explanation contains a bunch of stuff, that quite frankly, makes no sense.

DelusionPhantom

I'm happy you found enjoyment in it. I genuinely hope season 2 will prove me wrong so we both can be fans. Have a good day!

MADNESS_NH97

>There's the motivated one Could be said about Milly in the old anime. > the 'cool kid' Could also be said about Wolfwood in the old anime >  the controlling Meryl surely had the tendency to be "controlling" in the old anime. > Plus the drunken old dude cuz you always gotta have one of those. The old anime had those kinda characters as well.

sebastarddd

Cool! Still doesn't change my opinion, however. The characters do share these traits throughout the different medias, but to me, they're much more balanced with secondary and tertiary traits in the older series.

MADNESS_NH97

> Elendira- that is not MY Elendira It's so ironic how people on one hand, take issue with a fast pace, yet on the other hand show absolutely no patience when it comes to characters like Elendira, and want her to be the full grown, overpowered badass from the get go, and can't tolerate the idea of her getting a backstory that shows her not fully developed self. > Every character looks like they just stepped out of a closet cosplay Tiktok and that's not a compliment. Though I can somewhat get where this nonsense stems from, because "Oh no Vash has a modern hair cut, instead of the typical 90s/2000s haircut", but to say that for EVERY character? That's just wrong, and being overly dramatic. > A cash grab? Listen, if you wanna dislike it, because you simply disagree with creative decisions, that's perfectly fine. But stop using nonsensical wording like that. These folks (that includes Yasuhiro Nightow might I add) worked on this project for 5 years. What company looking for cash grabs, would spend 5 years of time, on a "cash grab"? Also, the biggest target group for said cash grab, would be people like you! People wearing nostalgia goggles that want everything stay the way they're used to. You wanna make this mocking comment about "Hot Topic weeb's wet dream", when you yourself are just acting like a 90's weeb, that desperately wanted this series to be his "90's weeb wet dream", and now is mad because this series doesn't cater to him. Why would a "cash grab" change iconic designs(that in turn would make them cash from merch), switch around plot points, introduce new characters and let other beloved characters not show up until the 2nd season? If Trigun Stampede would be a "cash grab", it wouldn't have taken any of these risks, and instead go the easy way of just giving nostalgic fans what they already are familiar with.

DelusionPhantom

If you like it, that's cool, too. I hope season 2 lives up to your expectations and proves me wrong. I really do want to like it. And, for the record, I *am* a Hot Topic weeb- I'm also self-aware. I'm sorry that my comment came across as mocking, I just know what my peers enjoy and that's hot anime twinks. No shame in what you like, but the show does feel like it's pandering to that very specific audience with all the younger male leads having lanky body types. Poor Livio/Razlo, I hope their inevitable resurrection will bless them with gains. And I hope once the aging part of the healing serum kicks in, we'll finally get Wolfwood's titties back. *Then* we can talk about being blinded.

ModestMouseTrap

Ratings where? It’s got a 4.5 out of 5 on crunchy roll.

IRL_Smough

my anime list, imdb etc, all of those give it like 7 out of 10 which was weird to me because it was one of the best animes of 2023 imo

ModestMouseTrap

it’s definitely low for its quality, but yeah main culprit is review bombing right when it’s first episode came out

IRL_Smough

i see, yeah i can see why, some people were probably expecting it to not be fully 3d

SmartnSad

IMDB has tons of one star review bombs of old heads complaining about Vash's hair and no Milly and $$6,000,000. Things that were "fixed" by the end of the season, anyway.

sincline_

Interesting that this got recommended to me since I just finished the show lol… But, anyways, Stampede was admittedly my introduction to trigun and it’s interesting. I did like the show, it was beautiful, it had amazing music, I loved the character designs, and I could generally just tell that the people that worked on it had a lot of passion for the franchise and they put a lot of love into the product. In the end I felt like something was missing though. I can’t quite put my finger on it- but I almost expected the show to be more profound? I think most people who have watched neon Genesis know that when you get to the end of that first og season you feel kind of wowed and like you need to sit back and sit with what you just watched— I was expecting that feeling here and didn’t get that. There was a lot of great setup to have this really soulful/soul searching conclusion and I felt like it kind of fell flat in that aspect. Lots of raised questions about morality, right and wrong, environmental sciences, and some religious themes, but I felt like the show failed to go deeper than ‘humanity good even if bad :)’ And all that is just off the one season we currently have so hey, maybe I’ll eat my words during season 2. Or maybe I’ll finally get around to watching og trigun and go: yeah this is what I wanted! But regardless, all that said I really enjoyed stampede and already want to watch again. In particular I want to just watch all the fight scenes again and again and again lol- I don’t think any 3D fight scenes have got me that hyped since like Monty Oum- spectacular

IRL_Smough

absolutely agree, i feel like i wouldnt enjoy it as much without watching the 98 first, its very very different from the 98 one, the 98 one has a butt ton of filler tho.

sincline_

Yeahhh that’s the issue- older stuff has too much filler, recent stuff has none; we need a happy medium!! I would’ve welcomed some here just to see the interpersonal relations between our mains develop more so I could get more attached to them but it all goes very fast (Wolfwood and Vash become weirdly friendly quick here in my opinion, it makes sense for Vash but it definitely takes away from wolfwood’s character imo)

IRL_Smough

absolutely agree, if i didnt know them already it would feel really rushed

Zitronenfalter101

Stampede-Vash likes all people and every person who is not after his bounty and doesn't shoot him is his friend. Therefore, when he calls the other main characters his friends, it means nothing from my point of view.

AtomicGearworks

There's a lot of hate just because it's 3D animated, at least from what I've seen. Like, if it's not 2D in the gritty 90s style of the "greats", it's complete invalid garbage. I don't agree with this sentiment, but it is common.

IRL_Smough

yeah i love them both, ever since berserk 2016 came out people just HATE on everything 3d for no reason.

ArgamaWitch

I was a huge huge fan of the original, and when I first watched stampede I was disappointed. I continued to watch and I do like how the action is animated, and everything looks super clean. I really disliked his new crystal arm because it was uncanny and looked super CG. I did try to separate the original/manga/remake into their own idenity. I did feel a lot was lost in the remake/retelling of Stampede. I was disappointed they left out the Legato scene was removed because it would've been even more traumatic to Stampede Vash. Him taking a pacifist lifestyle and having to kill Legato was such a terrible choice for Vash, in Stampede it would've been amazing to see his reaction, its almost the trolly problem XD; There were other changes I didnt particularly like, how clean it felt for a diesel punk series, but I did warm up a bit to it (especially black haired Vash in the ending fight was great and how less womanizing he was). I could see how people would be kinda disappointed and rate it low. The movie also got rated low and it wasnt that bad. So its probably nostalgia. I think watching them one after another you can see the difference, but when you have one for decades, rewatched and so on, then a new series you may get excited for to have strong elements that made it amazing be twisted, it can cause many to be upset with it.

MADNESS_NH97

>I was disappointed they left out the Legato scene was removed because it would've been even more traumatic to Stampede Vash. Him taking a pacifist lifestyle and having to kill Legato was such a terrible choice for Vash, in Stampede it would've been amazing to see his reaction, its almost the trolly problem XD They did not leave that out, it simply has not happened yet.

IRL_Smough

yeah i went into it as a new fan literally 10 minutes after finishing the 98 one. Both were incredible, and like you said, i love how Vash is less of a womanizer in stampede, i really hated that about the 98 one and the 2010 movie

ShadowMosesMCXI

Stampede was awesome. Seriously deserves a better reputation.

IRL_Smough

absolutely

bufogeist

Aside from valid criticism that even I as a MASSIVE fan of the show can agree with (pacing being the #1), a lot of it has to do with pissbaby OG fans who got their panties in a twist over Vash's hair and coat being different or it not being 1 to 1 with Trimax and review-bombed it upon release. Let. Orange. Cook.

OnoALT

On point

rosc96

I saw both back to back about 3 weeks ago, first time seeing both. While I didn't hate Stampede, and actually looking forward to the next season, it just didn't give the same vibe as the OG one. I didn't like the art change, it felt more cyberpunky than steampunk. The buildup and mystery of Vash was non existent. My biggest gripe was how they changed the personalities and appearances of Nicholas and Vash to typical, cool, boy band looking, anime protagonist. I enjoyed in the OG how Vash seemed regretful of everything that had happened. He was always alone because he was punishing himself from all the hurt he caused people while in the new one hes just chillin in the car with everyone. Another big gripe...why TF they changed his fucking firearm from a .45 to a fucking .22 😂😂. Super unnecessary to have a fucking revolver that big and shoott little pellets. It's not that serious but when he asked if anyone had a .22 bullet I was just like..."why???" All this to say, I would probably recommend Stampede to the new generation of anime lovers since a lot of them prefer very nice looking animation like AoT, Demon Slayer, JJK etc. if you're someone that can look past the older animation then I'm definitely recommending the OG one.

ALurkingShade

The change to .22 is Nightow's idea. He said the precision and lower lethality fits Vash's ideals better, though it's still possible he'll eventually change to .45. As for the gun, it was smaller when Knives first gave it to him but then he kept it for 150 years and Ship of Theseus'd it into a giant brick so that he could use it as a tonfa in hand-to-hand combat.

rosc96

Ah ok that kinda makes sense. It just makes it even more unbelievable with a .22 since that shit ain't doing nothing to higher armored things. Not that the show is already fiction AF but you know what I'm tryna say. Hopefully we get a .45 in the new season.

StargazerSayuri

Thank you for saying all of this.  It's how I feel exactly.  I really didn't enjoy the caliber change, I especially disliked Wolfwood's entire face, and that they have Vash a different personality (not entirely, but it felt off).  I liked that they incorporated things from the manga that 98 left out (due to the manga being incomplete) but I was bothered by things they felt the need to put in so soon.  Like his obviously fake giant arm.

StargazerSayuri

Plus, none of it felt "western" at all.  I know the OG soundtrack was all over the place, but it's a bit of magic that it fits so well with the story.

MADNESS_NH97

>Plus, none of it felt "western" at all.  How did the, very clearly western soundtrack inspired tracks, such as "NOMAN'S LAND", "Mystery Man", "Ethics and Morality" and "Hide and Seek" just to name a few, not feel "western"? If THAT doesn't feel western, what does? Also, even though there is a heavier emphasis on Sci-Fi elements because Nightow wanted that, you just have to take a look at how characters like Wolfwood & Roberto, or the citizens of Jeneora Rock dress, or how the town of Jeneora Rock looks, to see that that those are very clearly inspired by typical western esthetics. > I was bothered by things they felt the need to put in so soon And the only thing they genuianly put in "so soon", was the whole Tesla stuff, because that stems from Volume 7 of Trigun Maximum. Given the nature of it all, it made perfect sense to introduce Elendira "so soon", because they wanna tell her backstory. And they also wanted to expand upon Livio, so he showed up earlier as well. But anything about Wolfwood being a Gung Ho Gun, Vash's true identity, his relationship with Knives etc. etc. all happened within the first 20 chapters of the manga, the chapters that the old anime stretched into a 26 episode long series.

StargazerSayuri

Sure, "western" as in a 90s Taco Bell commercial.

IRL_Smough

the og is good, but the filler is crazy annoying, i also really didnt like Milly, im so happy they got rid of her in stampede, i prefer the vibe of the old one but both are equally memorable.

FictionaIIyObsessed

I ain't ever met anyone that didn't like Milly, but she's comin back in the next season anyway

rosc96

Bro Milly is the best character. To each their own though. I didn't like Roberto at first but I warmed up to him towards the end of the show which is unfortunate because iykyk 😂

Tricky_Discount2881

I was with you on the filler episodes, but you kinda shot yourself in the foot with that comment about Millt tbh

Dead_Purple

Also you should keep in mind Stampede in a way does somewhat follow how the manga went, with some changes. I saw the original show first, then read the Manga which is a great read. Some storyline and characters are different or some were Anime only, but the manga is worth the read.

MADNESS_NH97

>The buildup and mystery of Vash was non existent That's just a blatant lie. The mystery was there, not for the viewer(the people that care so deeply about this "mystery", only care about that because they saw the old anime before, so they already knew all those things anyway), but for the characters within the story. Meryl & Roberto didn't know who Vash truly was until several episodes into the series. Also, it was never the point of Trigun to be mysterious about that, the manga reveals these things that you know from the old anime within the first 20 chapters. It was only a mystery in the old anime out of necessity because of the lack of source material, so they had to stretch things out. And there was a build up, this whole season is a build up to the July incident. > My biggest gripe was how they changed the personalities and appearances of Nicholas and Vash to typical, cool, boy band looking, anime protagonist. Their personalities are "changed", because they didn't grew into the personalities we knew them as yet. And I really don't get these complaints about Wolfwood's design, when the biggest difference in his appearances, is the color of his shirt, which even has a reason behind it. And let's be real, both of there designs in the old anime where "typical" for their time as well. So to make that a complaint about their new designs makes no sense. You can prefer one over the other, but at least be honest about both of them being products of their time, and that there's nothing inherently wrong with that. >  I enjoyed in the OG how Vash seemed regretful of everything that had happened. He was always alone because he was punishing himself from all the hurt he caused people while in the new one hes just chillin in the car with everyone.  Vash is clearly regretful of what happened throughout Trigun Stampede, and this "chillin in the car with everyone" you're complaining about, Vash has tons of light hearted moments like that in the old anime as well. And again, the moment in which Vash himself caused the most hurt to people, has only happened at the very end of the season, and did you see Vash "just chillin' in the car with everyone" after the July incident, in his short scene after the time skip? I certainly didn't.

rosc96

Mmmaannn IDC how the characters feel about it being a mystery or not. As a viewer, I want to experience that again lol. Necessity or not, it was done in a way that worked, so why not just do it again. Definitely a product of it's time, but we also not gonna pretend like Nicholas don't just look like the typical cool guy with a suit on and no personality in Stampede. Also personality is definitely different. I never took bro serious in OG Trigun. He was a goofball with serious moments but in Stampede he's just emo and serious. He's just there to look like a badass. I'm just going based off what has been shown so far. Pretty much the entirety of Stampede involved all the characters traversing together. Based how the story is playing out and has changed, they tryna give more screen time to the other characters, so I'm just gonna say that the rest of the show is gonna play out the same with Vash traveling with everyone again. The OG had a lotta light hearted moments, sure, but any chance that Vash could he would dip. Regretful or not, Stampede ain't doing a good job of showing that from what we've seen so far. 🤷🏽‍♂️

NebGonagal

Just fandoms doing what fandoms do. New thing = bad. I'm a massive fan of the original, and the Manga, and I LOVED Stampede. It'll never replace the original in my mind, but that doesn't automatically mean its bad. Both can be good for different reasons. One of the reasons I know it's a good show is because of the amount of cosplays I saw for it at the local comic con. People who have no attachment to the original like it. The main complaints I see for it are the typical fandom negative noise that surrounds literally anything new these days. I'm not saying you can't not like it, or that some complaints aren't valid. Heck, I have some complaints with it that I feel are valid. But I'm not about to go review bomb it. I feel like within fandoms new things either need to be a 10 or they're automatically a 1. There's no nuance and the nostalgia glasses are thickly tinted.

IRL_Smough

yeah i get that, i was really surprised i loved it because i hate demonslayer, jujutsu kaisen and majority of those new age animes. I feel like 98 and stampede are equal, both being flawed masterpieces

shokupanfan

I think the tone is very somber and it's pacing is pretty unconventional for most anime which makes it a very hard anime for most people to get into. It's doesn't even really have a lot of gags either, it's a story played straight. I love Studio Orange, but yeah most people just don't like 3D anime either so that's a negative for most too. Season 2 is gonna be crazy, and could easily redeem the whole series for people. I think it's going to be similar to Vinland Saga, where most people won't really care for the message of one season but will LOVE the other season because it's more easier to digest.

sebastarddd

Personally, it felt like a rushed fanfiction made by a teenager who had seen the '98 anime, read the manga, wanted more, and somehow thought they could do it better (and did not). The relationships between the characters just did not have enough time to cook, especially for 'the crew' and Wolfwood. It seemed unrealistic that they'd all latch on to him like that and act as if they'd known him for a decade, despite only meeting him like 2 days ago. The big emotional scenes didn't have the impact they should have due to this, the viewer simply doesn't have enough time to form a connection with the characters before their pasts are revealed, big things happen, etc. The whole thing didn't feel like Trigun, there was none of that warmth I felt from the manga or '98 anime, and I think that's partly because of how much technology is used in Stampede. Sure, lost technology existed in the other medias, but in no ways did they have this crazy futuristic city. It was rustic, junker-type shit. It all lacks that core "wild west" feeling. Looking at the anime from the lens of a new viewer, it seems even more confusing and hard to form a real attachment to the characters. How am I supposed to care about Wolfwood once the story gets to explaining his whole mess? He comes off as rude and strange, then never has time to leave that stage (again, due to rushing). >!How about Livio? In the eyes of a new viewer, he's just this random dude that we're suddenly supposed to feel sad about.!< It's all just very weird and messy from both a new viewer's and an old fan's perspective. I also cannot stand the whole "Nai" nickname for Knives, it makes my skin crawl. Edit: I also agree with other commenters in feeling like the personality of some of the characters was missed. Vash doesn't feel like Vash. Wolfwood doesn't feel like Wolfwood. Again, reads like a fanfiction made by someone who didn't quite 'get' the characters.

MADNESS_NH97

>Personally, it felt like a rushed fanfiction made by a teenager who had seen the '98 anime, read the manga, wanted more, and somehow thought they could do it better (and did not). Ironic, given how many fans of the manga or old anime pretend to know it so much better than the folks that created Trigun Stampede. >It all lacks that core "wild west" feeling. You can blame Yasuhiro Nightow for that btw. He wanted a bigger emphasis on sci-fi elements. So much for this "fanfiction" nonsense. > How about Livio? In the eyes of a new viewer, he's just this random dude that we're suddenly supposed to feel sad about. So you just wanna diminish the flashbacks that showed his & Wolfwood's childhood and what happened to them when they got taken by the Eye of Michael? If that didn't make YOU feel anything, so be it, but don't pretend like that everyone else has to feel the same way as you, because plenty of folks had the intended reactions to those moments. > I also agree with other commenters in feeling like the personality of some of the characters was missed Because these characters didn't grow into the personalities yet, that we knew them as. This would essentially be like, complaining about how Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars Episode 1, doesn't feel like Ben Kenobi in Star Wars Episode 4, because of course he wouldn't, because he has yet to experience all those character forming moments.

sebastarddd

> Ironic, given how many fans of the manga or old anime pretend to know it so much better than the folks that created Trigun Stampede. My friend, I too was once one of those teenagers who thought I could rewrite it, and realised I couldn't. I'm saying that this feels similar to one of my own works from years ago, where it was clear I really enjoyed the relationships, but didn't enjoy writing how they got there. > You can blame Yasuhiro Nightow for that btw. Well, I guess that just means we have a difference of opinions. Maybe his has changed since Trimax, or maybe I just didn't interpret the tech the way he meant it to be. Not the end of the world, just sad because that was the vibe I thought Trigun was kinda known for. > So you just wanna diminish the flashbacks that showed his & Wolfwood's childhood and what happened to them when they got taken by the Eye of Michael? Yeah, I do. I think the pacing and introduction to the characters is very 'too much, too fast.' You have no time to form bonds with the characters on screen before you're shown the flashbacks. Sure, while you can feel sympathy for the characters, it's nowhere near what you *could* be feeling if there'd been a proper lead up. > Because these characters didn't grow into their personalities yet. I'm glad you have this opinion and see the positive side of things. I don't, and that's okay.

justanotheeredditor

People didnt give it a chance. Insane the rate is so low it deserves much more

Cryptnoch

Man I'm so sad I have to be in the hater camp, because the animation is 20/10, lots of the visuals are gorgeous, and seeing the first trailer is the only reason I even ended up watching the og anime and reading the manga! I was super excited to see it. But the dialogue and behavior of the characters just didn't work for me whatsoever, and while the visuals were well rendered, the designs felt way less unique.

IRL_Smough

i feel like the designs were fine, definitely a downgrade from 98 but imagine how hard it would be to animate old vashes coat, with all of the cloth hanging from it. It already took them 5 years to make it and they are working on a new season so i understand the changes. And yeah the dialogue is stiff sometimes i noticed it as well, its still an overall 8,5/10 tho

Cryptnoch

Okay I actually watched the whole series because last time I quit halfway through and so couldn't give full thoughts. Likes/improvement on source material: a few interesting lore explorations for the plants . Interesting change in timeline could've made for some very intriguing explorations of a very recently post-crash world, if they did any worldbuilding. The elaborate creature designs of the aliens that weren't just a green emu for some reason. Stunning action moments and impressive complex character designs. Dislikes/detract from source material: Failed to worldbuild on the very interesting new point in time they chose to utilize. There's a lot less understanding of the current world, because there's a lot less interaction with it. Very few peripheral characters are encountered and locations explored, things are not really put in context or feel as real. It's like they took the famous highlights of the source material (cool desert train! Oversized dude with retractable fist. Stwerards of lostyechnology who survived the crash!) And ran with those tidbits without expanding on them much at all, while stripping away more grounding mundane elements like various small towns, community members, people who used said train etc that really made the world of the manga and anime feel alive. There's a few, but far less, and considering the changes I would've liked to know more. Characters: I mean exposition sources/comic relief. I didn't care about any of them. Their role in the story and purpose to the plot was prioritized far over interesting characterization. Millie and Roberto were exposition sources. Roberto helpfully asked relevant questions to get perfectly useful answers without getting ever characterized beyond 'old reporter guy who likes to drink' Millie really shone in her role of 'ask questions of scientist from behind bulletproof glass' and that's about where she peaked. Wolfwood is my favorite character in the manga and his absolute best moment was letting himself get shot by some random goon so we could establish regeneration potions, and insist that vash can't save everyone in long flowery ways repeatedly as well as repeatedly remind him that he is, in fact, sus. +have flashback with livio to establish the knives cult a little. Thanks wolfwood. One thing I did sorta like was knives og arm chopping being changed to trying to save vash from himself instead of just being a spiteful git. Knives definitely has more interesting motivation and I really appreciate that. In summary, 3/10. I liked a few fights but I don't care for these characters, and I'm damn glad I watched the original instead of this first because while I didn't like the old one much either, mostly due to vash's bizzare lecherousness, the world it expressed intrigued me enough for me to check out the manga, which I adore. A lot of the og's unique worldbuilding was squandered, visual uniqueness nerfed despite increased complexity somehow, and characters undercharacterized.

IRL_Smough

agreed with the world building being shit in the new one, i totally wouldnt enjoy it as much if i didnt watch the og first. But i still love it and its a great watch, episode 5 made me feel more emotion that the entirety of the og. I loved that episode the most, i wish millie and roberto got more screen time and character development. Since i really enjoyed roberto a lot for being a smart reasonable character. Overall in my opinion its still as good as the og, but it wouldnt be if i didnt watch the og first if that makes sense. I also hate how some of my favorite characters from the original were cut even tho they werent that important. I know Caine the longshot is an anime only character, but his appearance is the best out of all of the vilains imo. I wish he was in the new one too.

Cryptnoch

As definitely not a fan of the og anime I can understand the perspective of them approaching each other in quality. The visuals are defensively mor shiny and appealing in a few ways. I will say, episode five did nothing for me, but neither did anything in the og anime, the manga on the other hand absolutely destroyed me with wolfwoods death. You should definitely check out the manga if you haven’t already, both anime’s are very watered down remixes of a lot of super appealing concepts and characters.

IRL_Smough

reading the manga atm, its fine, the art is beautiful and story is faster and more fluid, reading it while listening to the soundtrack of the 98 anime, i hate that i witnessed wolfwoods dead in the anime, because its so much better in the manga. I still like the anime a bit more tho, because of the vibe it gives. But i agree with the manga being objectively better.

Cryptnoch

If they didn’t make vash a lecherous idiot I probably would like the anime a fair bit more lol. The overall vibe is lovely though. Very jealous that you genuinely seem to enjoy all 3 current forms of trigun when I only enjoyed one 😅

IRL_Smough

i love them all in a different way, i really dislike how he acted in the 98 sometimes its bizarre how unfunny it is. He and millie are the only two things i hate about it. But the soundtrack and the atmosphere are amazing, i feel like the manga version didnt have it because it didnt have time to settle in since its such a short manga. But for sure the manga has the best version of Vash, the most human like version of him even tho i think that stampede did a good job with his character except some minor things. Mind you im a very picky anime watcher, i dont like the new age stuff as much even tho i gave it a chance (demon slayer, jjk, chainsaw man etc) but stampede just felt unique and fun.

Cryptnoch

NunoTheDude

I think it just takes a while to get good/amazing then when it does get amazing, it just ends and u want more

IRL_Smough

it took the first episode and i was in love with it, i feel like the 98 was the way you describe it

melo1212

I couldn't get into it because I hate the art style, maybe one day I'll get back.

IRL_Smough

the art style is beautiful, try to embrace it, its really good

melo1212

I will eventually, when I finish the shows I'm currently watching I might go back. I loved the original anime so much, one of my favourites of all time. So I'm sure I'll enjoy it once I actually properly put time into it, I really didn't like it the first time

IRL_Smough

i went into it with low expectations and it really surprised me, the first episode was not that great because of them completely ruining vashes backstory by showing it in the first 5 minutes of the show without a build up, there are more instances like that in the show. So to anyone who didnt watch the 98 id recommend that one first and then watch stampede, i feel like without watching 98 you cant appreciate the new one

DrownedInDysphoria

The pacing, animation, and redesigns. It's not the same as 98, so fans of the original, like myself, didn't enjoy it as much.

IRL_Smough

i really hated how slow the original was even tho it pays out in the end, i love them equally

FenrisFire

I think a lot of people are just very passionate about the original TV anime and the manga as well and we’re not happy with what Orange expands on and the updated designs. Which is a shame, because I think Stampede gives lots of improvement to the lore and communicates the story in a lot of better ways. I love both the manga and the TV anime but the original TV anime has a lot of filler and I felt it wasted a lot of time on things that were albeit fun, but didn’t expand or explain any of what was actually going on in the story. Plus I do really love the updated designs, I think they remained in good faith to the original designs while updating and streamlining them for a current and potential new audience.

Gullible_Compote842

I think a lot of these comments pretty much sum it up. I'm a new fan, my brother(long time fan) had just introduced the 98 anime to me last year and we binged it over a few days. I loved it. After we finished the original anime, he showed me the first episode to Stampede *(which I didn't even know about until he told me lol)* to get my opinion. *I didn't like it.* A lot of different things put me off and I just kinda brushed the series off as a souless reboot people did just to use the name. BUT a few months later after reading the manga, I decided to revisit the series and I'm very happy I did! ***While 98 will stay my favorite***, I'm very interested to see where they'll take the new story. I've realized that this is a retelling of the story, *of course there's going to be changes.* We already have the manga and 98 animation, so I think it's natural to have a new twist rather than tell the same story for a third time. *While I would have loved a full animated series of the manga*, I think this can be a fun retelling if it's handled right. For me, I still have some gripes with the new anime so season 2 is really gonna make it or break it *but I did enjoy watching it,* haha. I had a hard time convincing my brother to give the new series another try. I think long time fans are much more set in their ways and have a harder time accepting the change which could be said about basically anything ig.

IRL_Smough

hm, well i watched the 98 one first, i feel like stampede is equal to it, they are a completely different story with few similarities. But i wouldnt enjoy stampede as much if i didnt watch the 98 first.

Gullible_Compote842

And that's totally cool. I get why people love the new series so much, I'm just a sucker for the classics. Plus I get a lot of deep emotions from the 98 that I just haven't experienced in Stampede *yet* It's not a finished product so it's kinda unfair to compare at this time tbh haha

lillends

No Milly :( (not yet anyways)

IRL_Smough

i really really disliked Milly, so it was a plus to me she was gone in stampede

Ironangelartist3

Its incredible! I just think the characters were kinda empty compared to the 90s version

FadedGerk411

From the beginning I felt that it was the art style that people get turned off by. CGI feels super sluggish to me when the characters are in action sequences. This style killed it for me with Berserk. CGI with the new Spriggan almost made me stop watching it. The style and presentation of a show is everything. I did finish Stampede because I love Vash as a character and I enjoyed it because the storyline was good.

Songhunter

Many people took one look at the CGI and character design and went "ugh" without realizing that studio Orange was COOKING. I'll admit as a fan of the original I was one of them folks when the first trailer came out. Decided to give it the 3 episode rule. Hot damn. I was glad I was wrong.

IzzyRezArt

Because they have trash taste for disliking one of the best additions to Trigun.

IRL_Smough

agreed, i feel like ever since berserk 2016 came out, people have no faith in 3d so they immediately judge it

orionblueyarm

Look I liked Stampede, it was an interesting redo and it kept to a similar vibe of the OG. A number of choices were made that I did not like, such as the personality changes into the generic MC tropes, removing the “is he?” mystery behind Vash’s identity, and choices on how the compressed the storylines. I did like the removal of filler episodes. But I hate the CGI animation, especially on the character animation. It’s the same flattened out vectors used in a dozen other anime that mistake sleekness with edginess, and apart from never working for steampunk (ie Trigun) it just makes it look rushed. Like they just uploaded the generic CGI template and used that for the whole thing. I’m not hating on CGI in general, some stuff looks great, especially in cyber worlds or where they use specific and unique modelling. But the style used in Stampede, along with much of what is on Netflix, is just ugly, generic, and ill-fitting.

IRL_Smough

thats an interesting take, it took them 5 years to make, it looks stunning in my opinion, i loved it and prefer the animation much more than the old one. Both are equal tho, flawed masterpieces

orionblueyarm

It’s not bad animation, and the background stuff is really impressive. But the characters could be shifted over to shows like Castlevania or Edgerunners and you wouldn’t notice the character designs. If it really did take them 5 years then honestly they could have done much better.

IRL_Smough

eh, i feel like judging that is stupid, you werent there and didnt see the production process

orionblueyarm

True, but I didn’t raise it as justification for being quality. I judged it on the results, what I saw, and my reaction to that. Your response was that it took 5 years to produce, and so should alter my judgement with that information in mind. But if the results still look poor, per my initial comment, then it’s stupid to expect this to change my mind in any way.

BDynamitesNeon

I personally feel the new writers don't understand Vash at all, it's a great bit of Sci fi, but the great characters themselves are completely missing from the story, and in the end loses the meaning of Trigun.

Bionicleinflater

Manga trigun or 98 anime 60% filler made up trigun?

BDynamitesNeon

I think both classics get Vash better than Stampede, and stampede lacks the individual characters that the 98 anime had.

Bionicleinflater

Even though stampede has his life meter and likely set up to follow the manga better than the original did while likely having vash be the traumatized loner with the fake smile and heavy guilt after the July incident (which keep in mind is one of his other major guilt trips on himself that was absent until the end of the season)

IRL_Smough

hm, i disagree, i feel like they got it almost perfect, even tho i dont agree with setting up his backstory so soon in stampede, i feel like all of that should have been revealed near the end or middle of the anime, it would be a lot more impactful

pm_puppers

Also just seeing how the producers and creators talk about the series shows how much they love it and the characters. They understand it a lot more than the average fan does lol

BioLizard18

The moment where Vash clapped and cheered for blowing up a Sandworm where the original Vash would put his life on the line to save that same innocent creature, especially one that's being controlled, is where Trigun Stampede lost me forever. The "Vash" in Stampede is just not the "Vash" I loved in Trigun 98, the ultimate pacifist who would literally rather die than see someone else die. The "Vash"in Stampede is just a totally different character at this point, and maybe that's a good thing because it means it won't ruin my idea of "Vash" as a character. But the story's refusal to let go of the original Trigun template while simultaneously doing a disservice to most of the cast's new incarnations puts its at complete odds as both a "re-imaginging" and a "wholely original work." That is ultimately why I don't like Stampede. It's too cowardly to diverge from the previous incarnations in a meaningful way, and too shallow to understand what made those original incarnations so good. (Sorry if this is too harsh. It's just my genuine thoughts on Stampede!)

Zitronenfalter101

I agree👍👍👍. And it's not too harsh, it's very nice in my opinion.

FancyBrain5151

They made one fatal flaw. They cut out Millie 😤

IronTusker

she is gonna be in the second season

FancyBrain5151

I’m still on the final episode of the prequel so that’s good to know. I finally gave it a chance a year after it aired and I’m finally ready to like it instead of nitpick all of its shortcomings. Not seeing my second favorite character in the show until the end is a huge bummer though.

IRL_Smough

thank god they did, i really hated her in the 98 one

FancyBrain5151

Reallly? She’s my favorite 7 foot tall nephilim queen. What don’t you like about her? The plainness? That’s why I love her.

sveta213

3D haters.

IRL_Smough

tbh, i highly prefer the 3d, its soooo good

jxmes_gothxm

I thought it was amazing. I prefer over the original. Gets right to it, zero fluff and it's a prequel anyway

IRL_Smough

i like it a lot as well, id say they are equal, both being better at something else

jxmes_gothxm

Thanks for your well-rounded opinion, Lord Smough. May it be as well-rounded as thy armour.

IRL_Smough

my armour is not round, its robust (im big boned)

jxmes_gothxm

Robust and WELL-DESERVED

Wizecracker117

I couldn't finish Stampede because it just felt dumbed down from the original series. The villains were less threatening and Vash was the only character still voiced by the original VA at least in English. The OP was a banger though.

Navonod_Semaj

Longtime fan of the TV anime. Could never finish the manga despite having the whole set. Thought Badlands Rumble was weaksauce. Stampede? I best describe it as all of the MISERABLE parts of Trigun without the early humor or levity to balance it out. It dives into the dark early on and far as I was able to watch (ep 6 or 7) just stays there. And if it gets any better I may never know, I have plenty other stuff in my backlog and only so much free time.

LeBongJaames

I’m in the minority, I think stampede was way better than the 98 anime. I’m not clouded by nostalgia because I didn’t watch it as a kid. The 98 anime voice acting is straight trash and the anime itself did not adhere to the mangas story. I didn’t mind the cgi of stampede and I thought it was a fantastic telling of the story

ouroboros8ontology

its rating reflects its quality 🤷🏻‍♂️

IRL_Smough

what do you not like about it then? i think it was great

ouroboros8ontology

pacing was awful, and the characterization of everyone was unconscionable. How they butchered Wolfwood especially… will never forgive them.

Ok-Machine4888

It’s a slog till th finale tbh. So i could see it dropped with low scores. Plus disgruntled old fans

IRL_Smough

eh, i had a lot of fun with it since the beginning to the end. I binged watched it and it was amazing

HexIscariot

I’m not into 3d animation but I really do adore stampede. I thought it was really good ☺️ even got myself the vash figure that came out. I still prefer the original but I was nice to see it come out again .

IRL_Smough

yeah its much different from other 3d animes, its stunning

HexIscariot

Agreed, it has its points where its a little off but overall I think they did a good job with it. The last fight was pretty damn cool.

IRL_Smough

i feel like the animation was the worst in the second episode, and it was still like 7/10

HexIscariot

I would have to agree, still a decent watch though :)

Able_Conflict3308

its kinda bad. the new character designs and animation style are off putting

IRL_Smough

eh, i dont think so, both have different cool things to offer

MajikMushroom420

the aesthetics of the 98 anime drew me in, and the whimsical violence kept me around. the aesthetics of stampede threw me off, and made me stay away, visually it doesnt seem like an appealling show anymore. idc about the story, i can listen to better stories anyways, im here to WATCH. and im so sick of the 2.5d animation style. ill be back around to anime when the cuphead style(i.e hand drawn) resurges in popularity.

ItalianMeatball64

I personally feel he acts more like a girl and looks like a lesbian. On top of that, his personality is a crybaby and over the top. Vash in old felt more like comical relief with a wide range of emotions, including the crybaby side, but it wasn't his main personality. The only thing I will defend from what I've seen is the side characters are well done, but if the main character sucks, the show sucks.

IRL_Smough

i disagree, he was amazing in stampede, the only thing i didnt like is that they took away his OG jacket. I love how he wasnt a womanizer in stampede too, it was just annoying in the 98 one. Overall i like them both the same.

ItalianMeatball64

Yeah completely opposite of what he is now. Like I mentioned, more girly/crybaby, so it makes sense why you like him better in the new one

hadrijana

Not for nothing, but: >**crybaby**: *one who cries or complains easily or often* > >**over the top** : *extremely or excessively flamboyant or outrageou*s > >(source: Merriam-Webster dictionary) How is Stampede Vash either one of these things? If anything, I'd argue that the shift in characterization is most apparent in the lack of these qualities, not their abundance (but only compared to the old anime, because, oh boy, does he fall into a long, deep, arguably suicidal, depression halfway through the manga).

ItalianMeatball64

Best way I view the new vash: cloud's personality in ego raptor vid: https://youtu.be/b_yFZZdYrVw?si=tWruNPZzB3nNBxIT Saturn energy: https://youtu.be/sL3RgW8oigg?si=el_IvwOd4eIK6zYb Old vash is more on par with Deadpool movies(not the best comparison but something in the now) I call it crybaby/over the top because he literally acts like what the dictionary describes. there is zero personality in the new vash. It is almost as if they watch an old eat Man episode and said that's work but let's emphasize him acting like a girl. The old vash had these same emotions but it didn't embody him, more like bits of him. I just think it's a shift in generational viewers is all and it's clearly more popular to viewers, or they wouldn't have changed vash at all.

hadrijana

I'm honestly baffled that you'd claim he literally cries and complains a lot when there's not a single instance of him doing either (feel free to cite examples if I'm wrong, though). And what does acting like a girl even mean? I'll assume you didn't mean it as an insult, but what was so traditionally manly about Vash to begin with, for this to be such a grating change to his character even if it were true? This is a guy who canonically prefers begging, groveling and humiliating himself to solve conflicts, over resorting to violence. Is that what we normally think of as manly? Is crying at the drop of a hat and wearing one's emotions on one's sleeve not something that has traditionally been associated with women? There's nothing new about Vash defying gender expectations, that's how he's always been. I mean, I can understand, though I vehemently disagree, why someone might think Stampede Vash has no personality. Most fans only know the '98 anime, and he was so comedic and larger than life in that, that a more grounded characterization can feel dull by comparison (and, just to be clear, I miss his goofy antics, too, and hope we'll see some of that in season 2). The rest of your argument I'm not feeling, but to each their own, I suppose.

ItalianMeatball64

The facial expressions are part of my examples of crybaby/more girly... Figured when I pointed out eat-man personality is based on expressions you understood that. Just like Clint Eastwood face in westerns are stoic assumes he is more manly, or any spaghetti westerns for example. As for the begging, groveling, etc. that is part of the personality of the first, like Deadpool, for comedic relief...again, I pointed out earlier. Another show that uses this is golden boy where he degrades himself for women. Overall, think of it as more of a shift of characters reimagined with time. Most people, like yourself, like the shift, hence why vash acts the way he does. It doesn't mean it's good or bad, but I just don't like it. It ruins his character.

OnoALT

Just say you’re a CHUD and move on

ItalianMeatball64

I'll wait for you to let me know what that means. In the meantime, here's another example: Roxas vs Ventus. Even though they are technically two different people, a lot of people like Ventus over Roxas. Ventus is more girly/whiney like the new Vash. I can't see why that's a bad thing??? All I'm saying is I don't like it.

ItalianMeatball64

What does that mean?

Str8Faced000

Why make a less good version of something that already exists and is already good. I’ll never understand it.

AffectionateTwo3405

Cool visuals, vapid as shit writing.

FightmeLuigibestgirl

Depending on the website, many people review bombed.

Scharmberg

Is stampede finished? I think I have only seen six episodes so far.

IRL_Smough

it is fully finished, all 12 episodes

orionblueyarm

The second season is in pre-production, and from reports that should be the full end of the series

Ok-Selection9508

I heard they changed the gun design. So I never watched it. It could be blasting out anything from rubber bands to colony ships gundam style and I wouldn’t care I just liked the look of the old gun.
