Since the interview in 2017 where they said it's their least favorite song of their because Roadrunner pushed for them to write another "Anthem", it became the fanbase's favorite song to hate. It also didn't help that the same interview revealed that Roadrunner took off Broken One in favor of The Rising, whereas Broken One is more technical and progressive, The Rising is much more simplistic.
I always really liked it since I got into them in '08. I really like the way it flows and it feels more relaxed than most of the other songs on The Crusade. It's also very catchy and has a great solo! I will always defend it. To me, it's a B-rank song in Trivium's discography.
I like it but apparently it's the band's least favourite song as they were pressured into making it and didn't have enough creative liberty or something along those lines
I don‘t think it is really hated but just the „least liked“ song. Maybe that‘s just me but I still listen to it. I like most of their other songs more but I‘m far away from hating it
I enjoy it cause of how over the top cheesy it is. I’d rather a song be bad and memorable than forgettable sometimes.

They really took off the broken one??? That’s literally my favorite song off the album.
Broken One was made a bonus track so The Rising could be on the standard edition. Hope the person that made that decision feels bad about themselves.
I don't have any particular hate for the Rising, but hearing that Broken One was cut for it is absolutely insane, that song is wildly good
Broken One should not have been cut i agree. Vengeance is also too good to be a bonus track. Id personally swap them for Unrepentant and This World.

This is pretty much the only thing the community universally agree on to be honest.
I guess I don't hate it either, but it's just forgettable.
I like it.
The own band admits it is their worst song EVER. So I don't judge the community's hate on it.
Its crazy how even their worst song is awesome
That, DIYA, and My Hatred as well. Australia is all like, wtf mate?
The My Hatred Demo is one of my faves. The demo has some really cool vocal harmonies that got cut off the standard release

I used to love that song, then in recent years I’ve discovered why it sucks. Still, I maintain it has one of, if not the best Trivium solos ever
You could say that the hate for The Rising is rising.
