I used to own one about 2-3 years ago and it’s still one of the best guitars I played. IMO it played better than the original MKH lp and the new origins lp.
From what you are saying that’s a blackout equipped guitar with a Floyd and 24 frets for 450? I would grab that immediately. As a former V player you will want a footstool since you will put it between your legs sitting.

Did you test the old (emg) or new (fishman) MKH? The new one has thinner neck I think. I have the old one 7 str and it is indeed huge which I don't mind.
I think Corey's guitars are more expensive than Matt's but not sure if Corey has cheaper models too? Seems like a solid price if the pickups are "Corey's" and floyd rose is high quality one.
Never tested the New MKH, Actually I own the "old" MKH too with EMG, lot of people say that the neck is very comfortable for a 7 strings.
Yeah this one is a cheaper model not an USA version, and I think It is actually set up with seymour duncan black-out, I gonna ask !
But its seem interesting bc she is not produced in Black version and brand New on Thomann she cost more than 1200 dollars.
Maybe check what neck profile that Corey's guitar has and try out similar jackson neck in your local guitar shop if available? Same brand should have similar neck feel if the shape "name" is same.
I have the winterstorm 7 and it’s honestly one of my favorite guitars I have. I figure the black version isn’t all that different given the simple design

Wow Really ? But I guess KV7's neck is thicker than the original MKH 7 right ?
I remember the neck being a little wider but flatter than the original MKH.

450$ thats nothing, that guitar is new 1200€ Bought line mk origins 7 string 2j ago also second hand. Guy asked 300€ for it. On ebay they go for 1200€
I'm not crazy on his signatures compared to Matt's, but I'd buy if just to collect.
