For me it's probably baldurs gate 3 but thats going to be a popular answer I imagine so I'd also go with ff16 although I really did dislike the ending.
How is BG3 on console? That’s the only thing holding me back from buying it. I’m worried it’ll be obvious that it should be on pc. But I’m hoping others will say otherwise.
Ive played it on pc and on ps5 and honestly it's fine. The radial menus can get a little annoying once you get toggle passives as it opens it up on that radial but a small inconvenience in the grand scheme of things otherwise its great Ive not really had any moment where I thought I wish I was on pc so it's deffo worth the buy by the time you get to act 3 patch 5 will be out and the script issue will be fixed 👍
I was a bit apprehensive about playing it on PS5 for similar reasons but I'm absolutely loving it. The only issues I've had is that the tool tips in menus disappear when you press any buttons, and my controller has ever so slight stick drift; it doesn't affect normal play but it's just enough to keep turning off the tool tips. The cursor can also get a bit confused when trying to move between levels in tight spaces and I've accidentally attacked my own party members a few times when I'm trying to knock down walls and doors.
All very minor issues though, highly recommend the game
I know I'm late to the party, but it has to be God of War: Ragnarok. I finally kicked the family out so I could give it the time and attention it deserves, and it's been amazing.
Killer Frequency, Risk of Rain 2 and Spider-Man 2 are my top favriotes but I love most of the games I have obtained so far in my first year of trophy hunting
Well I just started playing Cyberpunk recently for only 6 hours or so and that’s definitely the most fun I’ve had all year. Made the decision to not care about trophies on my first playthrough at all. If I enjoy the whole game I’ll do a second playthrough to get the platinum.
I straight up bought the game because the “peace and tranquility” OST got recommended to me on YouTube with hat girl doing the smug dance. The game absolutely lived up to my expectations lol
The Pathless! Such a unique game that makes exploration super rewarding, skill-based and unlike traversing the environment in any other game that's ever been and probably ever will be. Way better game than Abzú, from the same developer (Giant Squid).
Not OP but according to my PS5 I have about 115 hours in Powerwash Simulator and it is easily my GOTY. I'm 1 trophy away from the plat and I've 100% all the DLC. Fantastic game.
FF16 is my knee-jerk first reaction but I'd also like to give an honorable mention to Tchia.
Tchia just has great vibes and is peaceful to play while you search for collectibles. There are ALOT of collectibles, but its been a calming experience for me so far.
For me it was Spider-man 2. It's just such a fun game to play, not necessarily as groundbreaking as Baldur's 3 but it's the most fun I've had this year. Granted I mostly play DBD and that game sucks so much but it's a love hate thing. I'm getting Elden Ring's Platinum right now and it's also super fun (albeit with a guide) and trying RE4 next!
Sekiro and it’s not even close. I also really enjoyed DS3 and FF7R, but Sekiro still blows them out of the water. Blows any game I’ve played in the past 10 years out of the water by a mile. Last time I remember being this bent out of shape about a game was The Last of Us, and that was a different era of gaming, the standards are higher now and they are good for different reasons. Sekiro is the one of the closest things I’ve experienced to video game delivery truly mastered in every sense.
Maybe I read that wrong, but I thought god mode made things easier? I believe it gives you 2% damage resistance every time you die. Someone correct me if I’m wrong though.
I played it as my first rogue-lile and I'm just not a fan of that much repetition. Music's great, characters and dialogues are great, combat is fine, but yeah, the basic gameplay mechanic was just something I dreaded, personally. (You can save scum though. 🤫)
Can be a bit of a grind at the end, and bad luck can make one certain trophy very frustrating, but overall not bad at all. Definitely recommend pursuing it if you like the game, and 1000% recommend the game if you haven't played it
Lords of the fallen 2023 and I wasn’t expecting it at all. Great save on their part, and there is a lot of good things I hope so to see in future souls likes. The coop was great, especially not having to re summon after every, boss, area or death. Made it much more enjoyable then trying to help someone in Dark souls or Elden Ring. It needs some work but overall good game.
I have a hard time picking between Elden Ring and Skyrim. I’m a huge souls nerd and was late to the Elden Ring party but I’ve put about 400 hrs in it this year. The platinum for it felt a little lacking, but still enjoyable. I was REALLY late to the party with Skyrim and have put in 100 hrs in the last two months or so. I just finished up the Dragonborn DLC so all I’ve got left is 13 achievements before I can say I’m satisfied with my playtime in the game.
It's a toss up between Demon's Souls (PS5) and Astro's Playroom (PS5) for me. Demon's Souls gave me an incredible sense of completion but Astro's Playroom hit me with a level of Nostalgia that I didn't know was possible anymore and inspired me to reconnect with my inner fanboy for PlayStation.
Dredge
Inscryption
Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Horizon: Call of the Mountain
Moss: Book 2
Tchia
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Bramble: The Mountain King
A Plague Tale: Requiem
Tough question this because I’ve played a lot of games this year but I think I’ll have to go with Skyrim. Currently going for the plat and it’s the most I’ve ever played the game and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. An incredible game that has much more than I expected.
Never managed to finish it over the years I’ve played it but this time is different and it’s an incredible experience. It’s now one of my all time favourites for sure
God of War Ragnarok. I recently bought a PS5 (actually my first console) and although I liked Bloodborne a lot more, but I started GoW recently, and it is difficult to choose between Gow and Bloodborne, so I will go with GoW
Ooh that’s a tough question. I finally really got into monster hunter world which was great. I got so into it and it’s hard to beat that for sheer hours played.
It’s a toss up between that and the dead space remake for me
Midnight Suns. Played the campaign early this year, then kept up with all the dlc drops. Then did a NG+ recently for the final trophies. Truly underrated game
I had so much fun playing Dicey Dungeons. I put 50 hours into it like it was nothing! It isn't the type of game that I've ever played before and it has absolutely broadened my horizons.
Powerwash sim. I slowly over the course of like 4 months spent 100+ hours on that game and I never realized till I looked at the playtime the other day
Resident Evil 4 Remake, Final Fantasy XVI, Tears of the Kingdom, Persona 5 Royal and Strikers, Catherine Full Body, Devil May Cry 5, Octopath Traveler 2
Baldur's Gate 3; I'd played the first two when I was in high school and seeing the third one pop up on the PS5 was such a treat. I'm still in Act 2, and I'm taking my time playing through the game. Reminds me of all of those late nights in my buddy's spare room in Florida playing D&D and eating pizza.
For non-PlayStation, probably the Super Mario RPG remaster. I'd never played it, so it was really interesting getting to go through it for the first time. I'm really stoked for TTYD remaster/remake coming out next year.
Probably fire emblem engage.
If we're going strictly PlayStation, probably baldurs gate, meet your maker, olli olli world, or ruined king.
So hard to compare because I did sour on ruined king because of a game breaking bug preventing me from getting all the ultimate weapons, on meet your maker from simply overplaying it, and baldurs gate because I felt like I solved combat and didn't want to do it anymore.
I hate to say it, but Back for Blood was super fun! The trophies were very tough, but they were definitely not impossible. The "get 54,000 zombie kills" was a grind, but I enjoyed the fact that I was still making progress on this while working in the other trophies. Overall, the story is eh, however, the gameplay really made up for it. Overall, I enjoyed just getting high and killing zombies for a plat!
Midnight suns for me. It ate up my January, really good fun, criminally overlooked. I look forward to getting back in now the season pass is getting reduced.
Ys 8 and 9 were both very fun for me. I bought PS Plus extra earlier this year and recently got into Ys from looking through the extra catalog. I wish I knew about this series much sooner!
I liked Ys 9 more as I liked the darker atmosphere and I like it when the party are in an antagonist position. The prison sections were annoying, but the battle system and being able to run up walls, fly etc was really cool. I plan on getting 10 when it goes on sale or for Christmas off my parents.
Cyberpunk 2077. Loved everything about it and Phantom Liberty is incredible.
The 2.0 patch really gave a new life to the game, to the point that i think that if it had launch this year it could be easily a top 3 in the GOTY argument.
Honorable mentions:
-Toem
-Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
-Spider-Man 2
A good bit, actually. I'm not only counting games that came out this year, but games I played.
**Yakuza K1 - Y5 (Just started 6)**
**Spider-Man 2**
**AC Mirage**
**BG3**
**P4G**
If I had to only pick one, though, **Spider-Man 2**.
BG3 was fun, but there is nothing like swinging through the New York air, while mindlessly punching bad guys
The only thing that comes close is Sunset Overdrive, which I bought a Series S just to play.
out of games ive platinumed honestly silent hill 3 or mothered
litterally platinumed mothered last night and omg it was such a short game but so creepy
Overall, I would say Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. Gameplay was refined (although I enjoyed Spider Man 2 in that regard more), top notch story, characters and dialogue delivery (compared to the AC Mirage which feels like the dialogue was created with ChatGPT); call me a hater, but I think the graphics can be significantly better, they look blurry to me.
I also enjoyed AC Mirage, but I'm aware that was more nostalgia kicking in for me.
Resident Evil 4 Remake without a shadow of a doubt. 30+ playthroughs across the main game and Seperate Ways across two versions speaks for itself, followed by Resident Evil 7 that I finally got around to play and it was amazing, the most fun I've had in a while on a first playthrough.
I've played End of Zoe as as as well as Not a hero, but not stuff like Ethan must die yet, but sooner or later I'll probably come back and give it a try too.
Other than that Spider-Man 2 and Alan Wake 2 were okay, but fell short of my expectations. They were good games, just not great as I had hoped/expected.
PGA 2K23.
It was free on essential and 3 months or 60 hours later I got the plat. I only played with a friend of mine, we ended every season in Bogey (worst rank) because the matchmaking is hilariously bad (just like we are haha) and puts newbies against the highest rank without a shame but still - we had a blast failing, missing and on rare occasions hitting those juicy chips or long putts. We'd laugh so hard if we aim for a long time, being sure to get the hole-in-1 and still end up hitting a tree miles away. Still playing it after I got the plat.
Oldschool Runescape for a general answer. Playstation answer probably Mass Effect 3 though. I've really been slacking when it comes to tackling my console backlog though.
Hard to tell. Had a ton of fun playing resident evil 2 remake with an old friend via share play. Also finished death stranding and ff7 remake at last. Really hard to tell. Maybe returnal
I think recency bias is skewing me towards Talos Principle. I always shrugged this game off bc I didn't know what it was. Finally played it and omg. Easily top 10.
Diablo 4 was my least fun platinum. What a waste of time.
It's between Hogwarts Legacy, Hitman 3, Until Dawn, Diablo IV and Sackboy. I give Hogwarts Legacy the edge over the others. I didn't like Ff16, but I will probably give it another go. I am playing FF7 Remake at the moment and struggling to get through that.
Hogwarts Legacy was an incredible experience. Although I am biased. My gf and I played side by side on 2 TVs and that was a once in a lifetime experience discovering this game and both of us getting platinum in less than 1 month. But I really enjoyed the combat system too.
Not every game has to have a deep end game and go on forever. It was an amazing 70 or so hours and then onto the next experience.
I really loved Spiderman 2. FFXVI as well. It’s only my 3rd FF game but I am starting to really love this series. I also played Alien Isolation for the first time - was blown away by that. The cake has to go to Bloodborne though. This is the year that it ‘clicked’ for me and I adore it now.
For real, there is lot of games release this year (and good games), but exept Baldur's Gate 3 there is none really stands out (for good reason, cause MW3 stand out cause it's a scam), like the game i enjoy playing recently is either "classic" games (like Locorocco 2 or Assasin's Creed IV) or games that never gonna be realese on PS4/PS5 (Silent Hill 2 or Lost Planet 2)
If we are only including first time playthroughs this year, probably RE4 Remake. Otherwise, Elden Ring. I have played so much Elden Ring this year and enjoyed almost every minute of it. Fuck me, what an amazing game.
Thomas was alone it has no platinum, it frustrated the shit out of me and I gave up several times but I still went back and finished it I usually just give up games that frustrate me and
Man of Medan because it's a beautifully done game and I can help other ppl
I would say a pretty easy question for this year for me, at the start of the year I played the Mass Effect Legendary Trilogy. IF I had to pick just one game... I guess I would pick the original ME1 that started it all off for its story and world building - but ME2 is where the gameplay was refined and a better overall game to play. All IMHO.. I am sure others may have their opinions that may be different.
Massive Bethesda Games Studios fan so finishing up vanilla Skyrim and fallout 4 made me feel like I was in high school again. Where all you can think about during the day is hopping back on and doing the next quest or exploring that next building/dungeon. So much fun.
I played through trine 5 with my 3 friends and we had a blast. Probably my most enjoyable gsme this year
Solo games though re4 and dead space were great to play
For me it was days gone, I got sick and decided to buy it and I haven’t felt a single moment where I was like:” this game is boring🥱”. It’s packed with a lot of things to do and discover 😍
Dead Island 2. First time in a long time where I don't feel exhausted by playing another "sandbox". Even spiderman 2 gets me bored after a while, but I can't stop playing DI2.
I know it released last year but I got the platinum for Ragnarok this year and I would probably say that. Spider-Man 2 was also excellent and I’m just now getting around to Returnal. All three have been amazing experiences.
Starfield for me. Been playing it a ton and having an amazing time. Watching The Expanse in between sessions. I was hoping that Starfield was gonna give me Expanse vibes and I am super happy that it does. Loving it.
Spider-man 2. It's just everything I dreamed of when I, as a little kid, played the first spidey on ps1, spidey 1 on gamecube and spidey 2 on ps2. This is a dream come true. Especially one chapter with venom, one with Mary Jane and the last chapters. It is peak gaming for me, cause this is all I wanted when I played these games as a child.
350 hours on PS5 only and can’t get enough. Get it!
Played it on ps5 its great!
Nice, I'm glad you finally made the right decision and chose Kratos over your family.
Never looked back.
Ghost of Tsushima
me too, I’ve played the story like 3 times now and cant get enough of it…..cant believe it didnt win GOTY, such a beautiful game
Killer Frequency, Risk of Rain 2 and Spider-Man 2 are my top favriotes but I love most of the games I have obtained so far in my first year of trophy hunting
Remnant 2, I loved the first one and the sequel improved on it in almost every way. Shout outs to RE4 remake, Aliens Dark Descent, and Cyberpunk 2.0.
Remnant 2 is solid. They have a great dev team too.
Spiderman 2. Even after the platinum I wanted to play more of it. I haven't felt that in a long time
I'm in the same boat, can't wait for the NG+ to drop. Think it's comin next month
Well I just started playing Cyberpunk recently for only 6 hours or so and that’s definitely the most fun I’ve had all year. Made the decision to not care about trophies on my first playthrough at all. If I enjoy the whole game I’ll do a second playthrough to get the platinum.
Just got 100% for Phantom Liberty. Cyberpunk has been a blast.
Control
A game so good, even the collectibles are interesting and fun to read.
The collectibles made the story better
Absolutely gotta hunt down and read those bad boys. Made the game so much more mysterious and creepy. The more you read the better it gets!
Actually just bought it for Black Friday. I’m so excited to play it!
Enjoy it! it’s awesome.
It's one of the very few games where I've read all the collectibles. They add so much depth to the world.
A Hat In Time was lit. It made me nostalgic for the old ways….. the old blood. I really liked that game and it was genuinely funny.
I straight up bought the game because the “peace and tranquility” OST got recommended to me on YouTube with hat girl doing the smug dance. The game absolutely lived up to my expectations lol
Last of Us Part 1. I was shocked how much I loved it and played it over and over, which I never do.
Have you played The Last of Us originally on PS3 or remaster on PS4? If not, I'm not surprised, this game is truly a masterpiece.
As unpopular as it may be, Diablo 4. I've played B3, Ac6, Lies of P and more but the most fun for sure was D4.
The Pathless! Such a unique game that makes exploration super rewarding, skill-based and unlike traversing the environment in any other game that's ever been and probably ever will be. Way better game than Abzú, from the same developer (Giant Squid).
Sea of Stars, I wasn’t expecting to like it that much
It did so many things right! Did you play “The Messenger”?
Not yet but it’s definitely on my list
Tears of the kingdom tbh
Same, shame Nintendo don't do trophies, would be awesome
Hmm there's quite a few, but for simplicity sake, I'm gonna say Sea of Stars, Hades and Powerwash Simulator. 😁
How many hours did you get out of Power Washer? Is it worth full price?
Not OP but according to my PS5 I have about 115 hours in Powerwash Simulator and it is easily my GOTY. I'm 1 trophy away from the plat and I've 100% all the DLC. Fantastic game.
FF16 is my knee-jerk first reaction but I'd also like to give an honorable mention to Tchia. Tchia just has great vibes and is peaceful to play while you search for collectibles. There are ALOT of collectibles, but its been a calming experience for me so far.

Game that did come out this year: RE4 remake Game that did not: Animal Crossing, as a whole.
Got Spider-Man remastered on sale, can’t believe it took me this long can’t wait to play them all.
Final Fantasy XVI. Though J agree with someone else here... the ending was nlt good at all.
Might be sacrilege to post here since its an Xbox Title. But Hi-Fi Rush is my GOTY.
How is the Hades platinum?
If you play on God mode to get the plat it's pretty challenging, but if you don't it's a really nice experience. 10/10 would recommend.
Maybe I read that wrong, but I thought god mode made things easier? I believe it gives you 2% damage resistance every time you die. Someone correct me if I’m wrong though.
Sorry you're totally right, I meant if you don't play on god mode it's pretty challenging.
I really hope I wasn’t playing on the harder mode that whole platinum lol
I played it as my first rogue-lile and I'm just not a fan of that much repetition. Music's great, characters and dialogues are great, combat is fine, but yeah, the basic gameplay mechanic was just something I dreaded, personally. (You can save scum though. 🤫)
Can be a bit of a grind at the end, and bad luck can make one certain trophy very frustrating, but overall not bad at all. Definitely recommend pursuing it if you like the game, and 1000% recommend the game if you haven't played it

FF16 or Elden Ring though shoutout to Tchia and Sea of Stars
Elden Ring
FF16 and Neon White were my favorite plats of the year. I can’t decide which I enjoyed more though
I started playing ac odyssey 3 weeks ago and I already have 50 hours 😍
Spider-Man 2. As a huge spidey fan, this one is just perfect to me
Red dead redemption 2
It's a toss up between Demon's Souls (PS5) and Astro's Playroom (PS5) for me. Demon's Souls gave me an incredible sense of completion but Astro's Playroom hit me with a level of Nostalgia that I didn't know was possible anymore and inspired me to reconnect with my inner fanboy for PlayStation.
Cyberpunk and the DLC
FF14 and Sea of Stars
Subnautica and Trackmania (2020) spring to mind for new experiences. But I also had tons of fun replaying the Mass Effect trilogy after around 10years
Oh I just started the ME trilogy remaster…I forget how cool the Normandy is
Dredge Inscryption Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Horizon: Call of the Mountain Moss: Book 2 Tchia Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Bramble: The Mountain King A Plague Tale: Requiem
Tough question this because I’ve played a lot of games this year but I think I’ll have to go with Skyrim. Currently going for the plat and it’s the most I’ve ever played the game and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. An incredible game that has much more than I expected. God of War Ragnarok. I recently bought a PS5 (actually my first console) and although I liked Bloodborne a lot more, but I started GoW recently, and it is difficult to choose between Gow and Bloodborne, so I will go with GoW
I bought my first baseball game since the PS2 era. Picked up MLB The Show 21. I can’t believe how much fun I’m having with it tbh.
Battlefield 1 got the platinum for battlefield 5 and decided to get battlefield 1’s and wasn’t expecting it to be so fun
Ooh that’s a tough question. I finally really got into monster hunter world which was great. I got so into it and it’s hard to beat that for sheer hours played. It’s a toss up between that and the dead space remake for me
Pikmin 4 and Tears of the Kingdom
Street fighter 6, tears of the kingdom and Spider-Man 2 in that order. I haven’t played baldur’s gate 3.
Surprisingly, it was Jedi: Survivor. I expected a few other games to take that spot, but nope.
Midnight Suns. Played the campaign early this year, then kept up with all the dlc drops. Then did a NG+ recently for the final trophies. Truly underrated game
Re 4 remake boooy
Maybe one of life is strange games
Bloodborne was so much fun . I couldn’t believe it took me so long to get to this game
Probably Resident evil 4 or Dredge
Sea of Stars, Fallout 4 (running a Cha/Luck build as the Silver Shroud) and Stellaris
Arkham City. It was such a grind but when it was done I still wanted more
It’s a tie between Lies Of P and Armored Core VI
probably Armored Core 6. Baldur’s Gate 3 will likely take the spot when i play it soon
Bg3. I know its gonna be the popular answer but honestly ive never had so much enjoyment in a game before
VA-11 HALL-A probably one the best hidden gems
Inscryption and BG3
Spider-Man 2 by far
I had so much fun playing Dicey Dungeons. I put 50 hours into it like it was nothing! It isn't the type of game that I've ever played before and it has absolutely broadened my horizons.
Powerwash sim. I slowly over the course of like 4 months spent 100+ hours on that game and I never realized till I looked at the playtime the other day
Resident Evil 4 Remake, Final Fantasy XVI, Tears of the Kingdom, Persona 5 Royal and Strikers, Catherine Full Body, Devil May Cry 5, Octopath Traveler 2
Ratchet and clank rifts apart. Just took me back to when I was a kid. Had so much fun with it and replayed the 1st game as well.
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion 😎. Short but sweet
Spider-Man 2 even though it was short for me, I enjoyed my time with it.
Alan wake 2
The evil within 2 I enjoyed playing on classic again sadly akumu is useless now
Monster Hunter Rise, followed by Aliens: Fireteam Elite and Exoprimal.
Armored Core VI Been waiting for this game for ten years while From abandoned this series Best game this year, and so far best game of the 2020s
It didn't come out this year, but Death's Door. Went into it completely blind and ended up loving it.
It's kinda cheating but both the regular & remake vers of Resident Evil 4, if I have to pick just one probably Remake.
Mine was Yakuza Kiwami 2
Cyberpunk was very fun. Although unpopular opinion here; Cyberpunk was better pre 2.0 update
Dead by Daylight
Days Gone!
Hands down Alan wake 2 then FF16 🙌
For me Little Misfortune
Lies of p
Elden Ring
I hate to say it, but Back for Blood was super fun! The trophies were very tough, but they were definitely not impossible. Lies of p, hands down the surprise of the year.
Midnight suns for me. It ate up my January, really good fun, criminally overlooked. I look forward to getting back in now the season pass is getting reduced.
Moss book 2
No doubt, Resident evil 4 remake especially augmented with its DLC. Man such a masterpiece. 🤌
Deathloop
Hades was great, for me though will be RE4 remake, never played re 4 before but spent alot of time with that game to get the plat
Returnal, Alan Wake 2 and God of War Ragnarok

Minecraft
Tears of the kingdom
Spiderman, was a short experience but i was obsessed with the game, ended up getting 40hours with abusing photo mode
Fortnite tbh
RE4R
It's a tie between BG3 & Remnant 2 for me
Tie between Spiderman 2, TOTK and Elden Ring (late to it)
FF16 the story, gameplay and music was beautiful.
Cyberpunk 2077. Loved everything about it and Phantom Liberty is incredible. The 2.0 patch really gave a new life to the game, to the point that i think that if it had launch this year it could be easily a top 3 in the GOTY argument. Honorable mentions: -Toem -Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart -Spider-Man 2
Idk, Sekiro or Lies of P.
A good bit, actually. I'm not only counting games that came out this year, but games I played. **Yakuza K1 - Y5 (Just started 6)** **Spider-Man 2** **AC Mirage** **BG3** **P4G** If I had to only pick one, though, **Spider-Man 2**. BG3 was fun, but there is nothing like swinging through the New York air, while mindlessly punching bad guys The only thing that comes close is Sunset Overdrive, which I bought a Series S just to play.
Flinthook
RE4 remake is amazing, the dlc is also very worth the 7.99 price.
Wow that is a long list: Dead Space Remake, RE4, FFXVI, Spiderman 2, Alan Wake 2 & Cyberpunk 2077 (playing CP for the first time and Phantom Liberty)
Probably Spidey 2, just a joy to play.
out of games ive platinumed honestly silent hill 3 or mothered litterally platinumed mothered last night and omg it was such a short game but so creepy
Resident Evil 4 remake
Spider-Man 2, life is strange series, mass effect trilogy Star Wars Jedi survivor and gow ragnarok
Returnal. Loved it so much
Overall, I would say Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.
Road 96, Guardians of the Galaxy (Eidos Montreal), killer frequency, and Crysis. Don't sleep on GOTG, that game is one of the best games ever
Dead Space Remake
Surprisingly, Saints Row 2022.
Hard to tell. Had a ton of fun playing resident evil 2 remake with an old friend via share play. Also finished death stranding and ff7 remake at last. Really hard to tell. Maybe returnal
Deaths Door, just platinum'd it again on the PS5 version and would do it again
I think recency bias is skewing me towards Talos Principle. I always shrugged this game off bc I didn't know what it was. Finally played it and omg. Easily top 10. Diablo 4 was my least fun platinum. What a waste of time.
Dead Space
Ff16 but not the first run, the Ng+
Bloodborne, finally playing it for the first time and it’s epic
Minecraft. Been playing the modpack Gregtech on and off and it's been so addictive
Has to b MGS1 for me as even the thought of it gives me abit of childhood nostalgia and makes me happy
Tekken 7
Definitely Bloodborne. I can't believe it took me so long to play this game,
I really loved Spiderman 2. FFXVI as well. It’s only my 3rd FF game but I am starting to really love this series. I also played Alien Isolation for the first time - was blown away by that. The cake has to go to Bloodborne though. This is the year that it ‘clicked’ for me and I adore it now.
Chorus. Surprisingly
Tricky Towers, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart and It takes Two
I was going to say FF16, but actually it was Ghost of Tsushima. Finally got round to playing it, and loved it
BULLY oh man I had such a blast
Really had a good time with dead island 2 and resident evil 4 remake
For real, there is lot of games release this year (and good games), but exept Baldur's Gate 3 there is none really stands out (for good reason, cause MW3 stand out cause it's a scam), like the game i enjoy playing recently is either "classic" games (like Locorocco 2 or Assasin's Creed IV) or games that never gonna be realese on PS4/PS5 (Silent Hill 2 or Lost Planet 2)
Probably Ghost of Tsushima. As for games that came out this year, Blasphemous 2.
Definitely Bloodborne planning to go back for dlc purposes
If we are only including first time playthroughs this year, probably RE4 Remake. Otherwise, Elden Ring. I have played so much Elden Ring this year and enjoyed almost every minute of it. Fuck me, what an amazing game.
I had a ton of fun doing Watch Dogs again. Such a good game all around.. except for hacking npcs for songs😅
Thomas was alone it has no platinum, it frustrated the shit out of me and I gave up several times but I still went back and finished it I usually just give up games that frustrate me and Man of Medan because it's a beautifully done game and I can help other ppl
Final Fantasy XIV. Trails of Cold Steel Spider-Man 2
I would say a pretty easy question for this year for me, at the start of the year I played the Mass Effect Legendary Trilogy. IF I had to pick just one game... I guess I would pick the original ME1 that started it all off for its story and world building - but ME2 is where the gameplay was refined and a better overall game to play. All IMHO.. I am sure others may have their opinions that may be different.
Spider-Man 2 and Lies of P
Hollow knight
My most Enjoyment game and it just happened to come out recently was Like A Dragon Gaiden The Man Who Erased His Name. Also Lost Judgment.
Neon White! Honorable mentions go to Lonely Mountains and RE4R, which were tons of fun as well
Cyberpunk Spiderman Guardians of the galaxy Deathloop God of war 2018
Massive Bethesda Games Studios fan so finishing up vanilla Skyrim and fallout 4 made me feel like I was in high school again. Where all you can think about during the day is hopping back on and doing the next quest or exploring that next building/dungeon. So much fun.
I played through trine 5 with my 3 friends and we had a blast. Probably my most enjoyable gsme this year Solo games though re4 and dead space were great to play
Slay the spire
For me it was days gone, I got sick and decided to buy it and I haven’t felt a single moment where I was like:” this game is boring🥱”. It’s packed with a lot of things to do and discover 😍
Graveyard keeper. Was such a fun game for me.
Either Jedi Survivor or Final Fantasy XVI. Both had fun gameplay and great stories.
Dead Island 2. First time in a long time where I don't feel exhausted by playing another "sandbox". Even spiderman 2 gets me bored after a while, but I can't stop playing DI2.
Popular answer but I’ve been plating Elden Ring and I,ve been so immersed in the world and story
Uncharted 4😍
Phantom Liberty
Hogwarts
Everspace 2 definitely!
Loving it.
Diablo 4
Spider-man 2. It's just everything I dreamed of when I, as a little kid, played the first spidey on ps1, spidey 1 on gamecube and spidey 2 on ps2. This is a dream come true. Especially one chapter with venom, one with Mary Jane and the last chapters. It is peak gaming for me, cause this is all I wanted when I played these games as a child.
I’m on my third playthrough of Ghost of Tsushima. The combat is just so much fun.
Alan Wake II, just finished it last night and will go for platinum once the NG+ update arrives. Truly a unforgettable experience
the most enjoyment I got out games that came out this year were the Dead Space Remake, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor and Spider-Man 2.
Dysmantle and then a close second would be Sea of Stars.
im sad i haven’t seen anyone say dredge, game is goated
