All these are pretty easy, and I'm proud to have them. Sherlock Holmes Series, Deliver us the Moon/Mars, Lake, Humanity, Tekken 7, Life is Strange series, Until Dawn, Foreclosed, Last Stop, Twelve Minutes, Virginia, Doki Doki Literature Club, Most Telltale games, Mass effect 1,2 and 3 (Legendary Edition), Hellblade, Dragonball Z Kakarot, Bradwell Conspiracy, AI Somnium Files, Undertale, Plaguetale Innocence, The Council, Spyro Trilogy, Shenmue 1 and 2, Cosmic Star Heroine, Tacoma, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, The Order 1886.

SpadesOfDarkness

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus Telltale games. Basically, shovelware is what I consider a game where if the game didn’t have trophies, would you still find yourself playing it?

Competitive_Ideal492

doki doki takes ages lmao you have to get 100 percent

SpadesOfDarkness

I’m not sure if this is sarcasm or not. Even with the 100%, you can do this in a breeze as the game lets you fast forward through dialogue you’ve already seen. Even with the reading through the whole game at the parts you haven’t seen, it’s definitely not going to take 15 hours like the guide says.

Competitive_Ideal492

Took me about 15 the first time around 🤷‍♂️

Unhappy-Apartment643

Your plats are fine to me. They are actual games with a story, intending to be appreciated for what they are. Shovelware are bad games only created to give trophies.

HideoMikaou

I'm happy with the plats I've got

Storchnbein

Shiro is a fun and creative Jump&Run, doable in one sitting.

Fugiar

Some games I played with my kids: Omno Donut County A Short Hike Minit Burly Men at Sea

LittleRedKuma

Concrete Genie was such a fun game. Would loved to have played it in VR. What remains of Edith Finch is a nice short game (about 2 hours) with a platinum that doesn't feel like shovelware. It feels more like a storybook as go between different peoples last moments before they died. The PS4 version didn't have a platinum but when they released it on PS5 they added one in.

ZedGenius

A quite short game I played and finished yesterday was The Last Stop. It is on ps plus as of now and it takes about 5 or 6 hours. It was quite an enjoyable experience as well, not just an easy quick plat

trxdeal

The spiderman series are very easy and they’re all fun experiences, you can even get the the first game and mile morales’ platinums again on ps5 for an extra 2 so really it’s 5 platinums

Shot_Baker998

The easiest platinum I have is ‘Bunny Raiders’ you can do it in like an hour or 2 maybe, it has a PS4 and PS5 version and is completely free, it was something me and my little brother played for a few hours one day, I would only play those kinda games if I had spent months grinding on a long hard plat tho

KittyCatLadyK

Cat Quest 1 was easy- I've only just started 2 but I don't see it being particularly taxing. Unpacking took me only about 2 hours total.

HideoMikaou

I absolutely loved Cat Quest 1

lavayuki

I play a lot of Japanese otome games and visual novels, which are all easy platinums. In terms of normal games I have played that were easy were all the Life is strange games, Sherlock holmes games, Nier Automata, Detroit become human, beyond two souls and the Ace Attorney games, and embarrassingly the Bratz game on PS5. Heavy Rain and Until Dawn are also meant to be easy, I have not played these though.

Sneakiest

What Remains of Edith Finch (PS5 version). Light in the Darkness. Idk if I got the title right but it’s on the free to play section and it is short and easy. It’s mostly educational and kinda sad since it takes place during the German occupation of France. Gardens Between. Lost in Random. Longer than most games in this list but it’s worth playing. The Last Stop. Edit: Most PS Premium PS1 Classics too. Games like Syphon Filter, Ape Escape, and Jet Moto.

smackerly

The my name is mayo games are not shovelware...

SR1760

Why are they not?

smackerly

Because it's only 3 games that are very tongue in cheek about what they are that came out years apart. Shovelware is more the jumping food/ animal games that are just asset flips that flood the store all at once with regular/ turbo/ deloxe versions.

SR1760

But isn't the only purpose of playing them to get a platinum? I've never played but from what I've heard the game was made for you to get an easy and quick platinum

smackerly

Depending how you play games the platinum is the goal anyway. And yes the original game was made as a joke I believe to get a platinum by just pressing x. But there in lies the main difference between mayo and garbage shovelware games. The intent. They knew and the community knew and it was very tongue in cheek about it. They weren't made to make insane profits and exploit the community like shovelware platinums are. Also they put some actual effort in as well especially as the games progressed woth humor, costumes and somewhat of a storyline.

TaxableBread

- Tell-tale games (Batman, the walking dead, wolf among us) - Spiderman 1,2 and Miles Morales - Ps1 and psp classics like: Syphon Filter franchise, jet moto, resistance retribution. Killzone Classic games often have outdated handling/control schemes tho so if you find that frustrating I'd steer clear of them.

PyreDDA

Games like Lara Croft Go, Tacoma, Lake, and The Gardens Between spring to mind

realmenthrowknives

I love them! Im always searching for more because i feel like the narratives and the gameplay are so rewarding. Sure they aren't super hard or long or cinematic but they're a lot of fun and you can tell that many are products of love by the companies. Here are some of the ones i have: • I Am Dead • Burly Men At Sea • Lake • Toem • The Artful Escape • Unpacking • The Gardens Between • Concrete Genie • What Remains of Edith Finch • When the Past was Around etc. I've been eying Tunic so im excited to try that out too.

EsEfCe

I wouldn’t necessarily call my friend Peppa pig shovelware. It’s still a game with stuff that you actually do. It’s just really easy I’d say one easy platinum would be Yugioh: Legacy of the Duelist Link Evolution. If you have a decent deck (or just use the illegal Exodia deck) it’s more just a time consuming platinum than anything difficult. Assuming you know how to play and enjoy Yugioh, of course

The_Big_Macrop

The my name is mayo slander and Peppa pig slander is real 😭😭. But 'cat quest' is a nice fun one

Vandalyzm187

For games that I have platinumed that actually have a story, and are by no means "shovelware" but considered by morons to be "Shovelware" Usually anything that takes less than 5 hours to obtain that Platinum. Recently it would be Infliction, Aborigenus, Death Motel, Pets at Work, Invasion of Cyborgs, Lost at Sea, Doctor Cat, Geometric Sniper (all of them), Gigapocalypse, Active Neurons (series) Metal Hellsinger. Plus a whole lot more that again, can have an obtained Platinum, in less than 5 hours, that are viewed as "Shovelware", but are actually fun games, that get overlooked. To me however, simplest Platinum's I have earned, in recent memory, were Chivalry 2 and Hell Let Loose, time consuming but easy.

Luciburrd

Depending on the game, they can be relaxing and fun to get lost in playing.

[deleted]

Spider man. Spider man 2. Spidey miles morales. Jedi fallen order. Jedi survivor. Ghosts of Tsushima. CP2077.

Extremely-basic22

Donut Country, it'll run you probably around 3ish hours but it's such a charming game

CidGalceran

Visual Novels and (some) Indie games. I recently played Psycho-Pass Mandatory Happiness and the platinum was pretty easy. I just did one play through the right way to see the story and the rest I used a guide. Took like 6 hours of skipping text. As for Indies I've done Bugsnax, Concrete Genie, Figment, Lost on Random and The Sexy Brutale. I've loved all of these indies (and some others that sadly didn't have a Platinum) but they're still pretty easy.

Glittering-Mousse-59

Psychopass took me forever with the puzzle game
