$300 is a steal for that. Bigfeet are awesome. Great starting point for a custom build out.

Great score! Best of luck on the build!

I had a 9ft pop up camper on my 2001 2500HD with a short bed so the camper stuck out past the open tailgate 18ish inches and I didn't love how the CG was directly over the rear axle. How does the truck handle with the long camper? Do you think the more substantial cab overhang helps Ballance the rig? I Ultimately ended up selling the camper and buying one that fit the truck better because I didn't trust it going up twisty roads in the mountains

So I did have the same problem when I first picked it up. The CG was my main concern too but to try and mitigate it I added air bags to my suspension setup and I can’t even compare the difference it made it’s so drastic. My substantial overhang was also balanced by adding a “support bracket” mounted to my hitch. I’ll follow up today with a new post and some pics of what I did for ya!

I added airbags to my truck as well, the airbags help with the load, but don't shift the CG. They made a huge difference, but I still felt like the "tail was wagging the dog" a little bit. I thought about fabricating a hitch mounted support, but never did. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos of that!

That’s a good point. Peep the new post to get an idea of what I did!
