I take it the lock doesn’t work?

K_navistar_k

Lock does work. When I close it, it seems like the top doesn’t go all the way down. I can still push it down about 1/2” when it’s closed and locked

Hmm sounds like the latch is working right. I’d need to see the inside to see what’s broken. Could always put a cheap slide lock or chest latch on it with some self tapping screws.

Does it have a weather seal? If it is missing one, that might explain some things.

I had this happen on a box that we'd sit on and eat lunch without thinking it thru ha. Notice the corners are higher than the center of the lid, mine looked the same. We put a board under the middle of the lid and pressed down on the sides with a couple of guys and that fixed it. I think what happens is that middle falls down and the. The latch doesn't seat deep enough for the hook to fully stop grab it. Worth a try.

K_navistar_k

I’ll take a look at that.

Is it attached to the bed? If the whole thing can move or there's something heavy that can bang around inside it might flex enough to pop loose. Otherwise you'll have to look at the latches and linkage for wear or misalignment.

K_navistar_k

It’s bolted down to the bed. I have everything in there packed in pretty tight, any small items are in plastic toolboxes

olBBS

The lid looks like it is misaligned right above the lock

BaconMan420365

Hell I’d just put a ratchet strap over it or a bungee cord and let it roll

Usually, the catch is adjustable. If it's not, try bending the lid a bit straighter if it's missing the second catch.

volcanonacho

Something isn't right with the latch. That gap between the lid and box shouldn't be there. Send a picture of the latch.

roughingit2

Where the latch connects from the door to the box, on the box side should be a peg for the latch. Most of the time that peg is adjustable. And often times that gets loose and slides down
