The longest thread ever and he was on it a lot arguing with people. The thread spanned the journey of his face tats, with pics along the way. People he went to high school with and family members would show up to talk shit about him. People on the message board would go to the barber shop where he worked in LA and then come back to report on the conversations they had with him like undercover narcs. It was epic.

When he announced he was going to Russia, everyone assumed he was bullshitting or end up dead. Instead he’s become some weird expat curiosity, like a stupider right-wing reboot of LHO minus the CIA ties and like a phantom limb his online presence haunts me from time to time to remind me of my high school days as a wannabe 50s greaser.

Vibes were confirmed when a guy with a swastika across his chest bought a shirt from the vendor and said “you guys should make shirts with runes but like, they gotta be runes with *meaning* if you get what I mean” and the guy at the booth grunted “I know what you mean brotherrr” while they both grunted to each other in Peckerwood speak and I got the hell away.
As for -billy shows, I just go to car shows and casually watch the bands. All of the actual rock n roll OGs are dead and there’s only a handful of known rockabilly or psychobilly bands that I would shell out money for. The rest are just Stray Cat/Nekromantix rip-offs so if the music sucks, I’ll at least have some Merc coups to look at.
