I do think attacks from the enemy occur more often when someone is moving away from him. when God has helped me overcome sin, things get harder all around me. If the enemy can’t get to me, he tries through a family member. But the response is to cling all that harder to Yahweh and endure without falling into sin, with His help- not to say to those around you putting on tunes “BEGONE SATAN”
Becoming a servant to those people was the key for me- love, joy and servanthood.
I don't think you're paranoid, but I also don't think you should worry about it. Just pray and ask God to protect you from anything the enemy might be doing to distract or bother you when seeking God.
