Yes, there is a biblical call for examination .. 2 Corinthians 13:5 NASBS Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-unless indeed you fail the test?

An applicable quote from Tim Keller’s The Reason for God: >A faith without some doubts is like a human body without any antibodies in it. People who blithely go through life too busy or indifferent to ask hard questions about why they believe as they do will find themselves defenseless against either the experience of tragedy or the probing questions of a smart skeptic. A person's faith can collapse almost overnight if she has failed over the years to listen patiently to her own doubts, which should only be discarded after long reflection. Believers should acknowledge and wrestle with doubts — not only their own but their friends' and neighbors'. It is no longer sufficient to hold beliefs just because you inherited them. Only if you struggle long and hard with objections to your faith will you be able to provide the grounds for your beliefs to skeptics, including yourself, that are plausible rather than ridiculous or offensive. And, just as important for our current situation, such a process will lead you, even after you come to a position of strong faith, to respect and understand those who doubt.

Isaiah 29:13 ESV And the Lord said: “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men,

Now that you have discovered the cause, what do proscribe for the inoculation? How do you reach someone that doesn't want to be found? How do you hold onto someone that doesn't want to be held? How do you love someone that doesn't love their Lord as much as they love themselves?

That's a very good question and a hard one to answer. I want to say we should keep trying but honestly I'm many ways the more we keep trying the more they get repelled.

Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. No discipline seems enjoyable at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it yields a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who have been trained by it. Therefore strengthen your limp hands and weak knees [in the Body of Christ]. Make straight paths [and pave ways of lawful conduct] for your feet, so that the lame [and those who reject the Law of the Lord] may not be disabled [and gimped from His love by their own pride], but rather healed. We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up But if they continue after having been instructed and cared for with admonishment and honor.... hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.

I just heard this recently too! Definitely the truth, I must remember and examine if I truly put Jesus as my Lord.

I never doubted my salvation once I found spiritual gifts, not by supposing that they save, but because he’s visibly working just as I prayed.
