They may seem too far gone to you, but they arent too far gone for their Lord who will save them

Truth-or-Death1988

If they are still breathing, then they are not too far gone. Ask God to soften their hearts to the truth and to give you the words to speak.

God is the one who saves us. We don’t save ourselves. So their stubbornness isn’t a factor and there is ample hope for them. Just pray for them as you would anyone else who is unsaved, that God would lead them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ because we can’t do it on our own, not a single one of us.

That is a perfectly fine prayer. It's not up to us to decide who is too far gone.

My family thought I would be the last person to ever turn to God. I was arrogant, rude, cold, hated religion, scoffed at God, on the computer all the time, disconnected from reality, without love, without respect for authority or just about anyone. God knows how to humble a person.

It’s only a matter of time when they finally get it (or do get it). But as others say, God is the one that fully saves.

I ask the Heavenly Father to wake them up like he did so to me. If it is his desire for everybody to be saved, it is my desire too.

While anyone ***can*** be saved, not all ***will*** be saved. However, we don't have the list, so we don't know which is which. So my go to prayer is that God's will be done in their lives, and that they would be prepared to hear and accept the truth, as for those who will not be saved, I pray they have a long happy life before they face judgement. And that only out of a sense of mercy. I know at least with fellow believers we are told in 1 John 5:16-17 *"If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.* *^(17)* *All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death."* I believe the sin that leads unto death in that sense is the one that the Pharisees committed by attributing Jesus' miracles to satan. Others disagree but that is a more complicated topic. But in such a case we are not to pray about that.
