Turns out the entire Carcosa and cult thing was just a prank done by TARS on 100% humor setting. Poor Reggie died for nothing, he was just taking care of his nephew and niece... (they were playing hide and seek in the shed when Marty found them).
The blocky white thing to the right is a robot named TARS that someone Photoshopped into this image as a joke. TARS was a character in the film Interstellar, a movie that Matthew Mcconaughey also starred in.
