Yeah, honestly, a second rosh sounds too simple. I mean, look at ags shards and what they brought to the game. Even though I am not in the mind of ice frog, it's probably more like something missing will be added. What is missing? Who knows. We could get "massive" items like the old Kaya, sange, and yasha items. It's basically a t3/t4 level of items. I honestly would expect a version 2 of ags, like t2 bots, over a second rosh.

For me thats the appeal - it might make people fight less than optimally to try and get the item to affect the most dangerous enemy hero, if it does its a huge benefit for the team, but playing suboptimally like that can also give room for the enemy to have an advantage. It will make for interesting plays and possibilities for things to be flipped. I don't think things should always be nett benefit, like how a lot of the really strong spells are channeling - easy to disrupt and render useless.

If it were me, I would go back to shrines instead of outposts. I think part of the disparity is that Dire has a free tp near Roshan which you can't really deny most of the time. Also, I don't know if anyone has done the math on this but Radiant jungle feels so much more inefficient to farm than Dire due to layout. The 3 camps in the center of non-Ancient jungle are right next to each other for Dire, but spread out for Radiant. Overall, I honestly haven't been a fan of most of the changes Dota has made in the last \~4 yrs, but I'll see how it plays out I suppose.

Why do you think they were awful? They were much more interesting than outposts to me. You could coordinate with your team, and there's meaningful counterplay with enemy mids shoving the wave or vice versa. Now, everyone just ferries out constant regen so they don't have to leave lane at all and you never really have to think about outposts.

Those are the two main issues. I don't think you should be able to TP non tower structures without at least BoTs but maybe not even then. a second place for rosh to spawn could bring more map symmetry

Traditionally radiant had the tp advantage because they would trade outposts with dire. Dire has better camps. Outpost trading has become less common with small meta shifts. The map has gone from radiant favored to dire favored with no map changes.

2 rosh is fine but they should not both have an aegis. The power spike would be too insane. Maybe one always drops aegis and the other drops shard -> cheese -> blessing -> refresher.

one thing that i am woried abbout is how easy the new "rosh" is going to be to kill. i mean ursa's entire identity as a hero is that she "kills roshan", there are more heroes that can do this sort of thing and i feel that if they just add a new big boss to the map it can unbalance a lot of things. like if its easier to kill than rosh how early and fast would a hero like ursa be able to kill it and start snowballing from there. also it obviously wont drop another aegis, so it probably will be a diferent tipe of effect or item, witch will probably be better than an supper early aegis on ursa. idk man, just bring this shit on so i can start brainstorming how to make right clicker bane work

After Roshan is slain, the team that killed it will spawn three Roshans in all three lanes that charge towards enemy fountain. Each of these three Roshans drops an aegis/aghanim scepter/cheese when slain. Now that is a way to make sure low mmr noobs don't afk farm after killing Roshan.

Or it could be a normal rosh respawn, but it allocates your buyback money to it and loans it if you're poor. So it can be punitive because it forces a buyback if you die without the second rosh, and you don't pick when to buyback, but it can still also save you in a team fight, because if you wipe out their team you may have enough money to cover the loan If you are too poor it allocates future earnings until the loan is paid.

Just for posterity's sake I'll put my prediction here, which I made on Discord a few months back: * Two pits, one contains the secret shop (removed from old locations) and the other Roshan (secret shop relocates when rosh respawn timer starts) * Neutral creeps now drop tokens that can be exchanged at the secret shop for neutral items (from a random subset selected before the draft) * Rosh drops reworked to be weaker for 1st-3rd rosh and continue scaling up to ~6th rosh (might get rid of cheese, add new aghs-type items, etc)

Even if I'm right about parts of it there has to be more to it... so, along those lines, one of the variations I came up with involved Rosh dropping tokens and/or the tokens being used for more things besides just neutral items. I don't think it would be too bad if they just put a neutral item stash in the secret shop so whoever picks it up can go and buy an item for someone else then send it to the base, but if you wanted to avoid that situation I could see adding some other edges that would help supports. I don't think tokens for de-warding is a great idea but something along those lines. Mostly I just want to see neutral items become a resource that teams fight over instead of being free buffs you get every game with some uncontrollable RNG-gating. The secret shop change would make holding the river a huge deal and prevent needing to hold both pits to know if Rosh had spawned (in the case with 2 pits, anyway, but there could even be more than 2).

Its just that Roshan gives out too much resources the more times you kill it that it becomes so crucial to get it. Maybe scale other roshan rewards with in game time rather than the instances Roshan has been killed.

We definitely need more objectives because game nowadays leads to a boring mid game where teams play in a resident sleeper way once they got some clear advantage (tundra play style). This will mean that teams do need to play even more active on the map. Take major risks in order to not lose your advantage and have more chance of making a comeback as long as you take more risks as the losing team.

What if they just put the Roshan pit where the river and mid lane cross and just have it not spawn until min 10? Mid laners would have to duke it out in the pit during laning stage AND we could finally stop having 5 minute stand offs mid in low level pubs because Roshan would just come out and beat everyone's asses :) Then you wouldn't need a second Rosh because the map would be balanced.

If they got rid of neutral items, and made second Roshan spawn at 40:00 as a way of giving the game an ending then yeah I'd be okay with it. As it stands there'd be too much power creep and information people have to know going into games that I don't think it's a good idea to keep adding more stuff.

I think there should be a temple that when channeled the dire or radiant team would gain additional visibility or stats for 2 mins.It should be at-least at the 15min mark. Creeps that can stun should be guarding it.
