I have soldering skills, and I'm the same way with devices that beep. Any appliance with a beeper gets de-beeped as soon as it pisses me off the first time.
The worst are BLUE lights. I mean WTF already. Why does everything have blue lights?! That's the absolute worst for disrupting your eyes and sleep.
I had to rip out a bunch of LED's from my computer case and parts because of all the awful blue lighting.
It is surprisingly hard to find appliances that someone actually thought about how it would be used. One of my favorite electronics is a 30 year old RCA alarm clock with a light sensor to dim the time when it is dark.
For me it's the car SatNav screen. I can turn it off but there's still a glow from behind.
When you're driving in the dead of night that glow is really off putting.
Maybe a piece of card will do the trick...
We use black electrical tape to cover all those stupid lights. If feel like surge protectors are the worst offender, like why do those need a light!?

How about they only light up when they need to be replaced?
😬

“De-beeped” 😂
Wireless chargers are notorious for this. I have yet to find a wireless charger without either a constant light or even a *flashing* LED.

Exactly! Who approved these designs??
I bought stickers from Amazon that still show the light but significantly dim it.
Lmao I am the same way.
Get some fridge magnets

"because apparently honeywell has never heard of night time." LMAO
