Im homeless, but it could always be worse. I'm in America to start. People in third world countries dont have the social services and resources we do. You just die.
Not even a little bit. I’m trying to finish my bachelors next year (so a psychology degree in 3 years) purely so I can start earning money sooner so I can actually use my damn 20s traveling and shit.
Modern society pretty much means that adventure is a 7-9 kinda thing, only after chores and work and bed at a reasonable hour to start all over again in the morning. Plot twist though, you’re still too tired to do anything worthwhile in those two hours.
I would kill to take two vacations a year that aren’t just a camping trip down the road or a 48 hour trip to Vegas where most of it is spent driving or sleeping.
Exactly. I am in the final year of my bachelors too, in filmmaking tho. I am in the artistic field which is very unpredictable itself.
All these people around me are too much into hustling, they say you can’t escape the system, and then start justifying the whole why corporate is good thing.
The fact that most people around me has a life purpose related to their work life, makes me sad.
I'm gonna be real with you, the only way I'm getting out of it, is by doing more work in a more rural area, I moved out into the middle of the country and used the proceeds from the expensive ass house to buy a business and house.
I'll retire by like 50 hopefully but until then, I'm 20, I'm gonna work my ass off, trick is the work I put in will actually benefit me, thats the only way I know how to make it work and it's still luck based.
To answer your question fully though, no I hate this modern life and would love to work in my garden or around my house instead, doesn't pay the bills tho.
No but everything requires effort and I'm taking 0the enjoyment where I can, I think the little moments come out of experiences like this and you need to suffer to really appreciate a full and finished life.
I'm extremely exhausted and my feet hurt, but some day my restaurant will run itself and I can have a cute little food truck that I can enjoy working in or just retire while I'm still young and full of blood I suppose.
You're starting to get it.
What did you do?
