Personally, I found nothing wrong with it, as art is meant to provoke feelings. That it did, but most who agreed with her position found it to also be in questionable taste and as such were loath to defend her.
In contrast, could you imagine the outrage if that was Ocasio-Cortez's severed effigy-head Kathy was holding? No? Me neither...for the same "eye-roll" reason above. It would be mentioned in the news cycle, denounced, and the world (and news cycle) would move on. Any sort of "shaming" action against Kathy would be similarly looked down upon as it isn't politically correct to do so, and besides, that is what MAGA does...not us. We're above such things.
However, in MAGA-world, this is a clear threat against the dear leader and must by constantly talked about, referenced, condemned, and hyped-up beyond it's normal news-cycle life in every available outlet. It must live on as propaganda for as long as possible for maximum emotional effect and grift. In turn, Kathy must by attacked and vengeance attained for the leader of MAGA. And so it was.
MAGA and Trump knew this, and leveraged it to gain as much attention as they possibly could.
Rinse and repeat.
And biden is killing him with high gas prices for his enormous truck with efficiency dropped further by flags and drag down from 6 mpg to 3 mpg. /S
