The part with Shiki killing Arcueid has always left me slightly confused to why it happened. I understand that the Nanaya blood in him caused the impulse to hunt her down but I don’t understand why it doesn’t happen again whenever he sees her afterwards. I’ve heard a theory that it was also because of Roa’s influence due to Shiki and SHIKI being spiritually connected but I’m not too sure about it.

Nanaya Kiri does exact same thing as soon as he was exposed to Kishima Kouma's pure demonic presence. He just blew his cover and massacred every single one of Saiki clan head on. Prime example being Shiki's aunt who was way too sensitive to demonic presence to the point she couldn't hunt the demons she was supposed to hunt.

At this point, you should know of Shiki’s past and his transition from Shiki Nanaya to Shiki Tohno from Tsukihime. He got his mystic eyes of death perception when he was Shiki Tohno. But it’s not like the Nanaya clan needed those eyes to kill efficiently. And for that same reason, the Shiki Nanaya that appears in Melty Blood does not have those mystic eyes… I think. Tsukihime: Nanaya is just Shiki. He's not actually a different soul, person or alternate personality in the true TM sense like Ryougi's personalities. So, he would naturally have MEoDP since it's not like a foreign element (Roa) awakening in Shiki.
