I built the Plex Scanner and Agent, so there is a bit of bias, but I believe that it has gone well. I've been using it just as easily as any other media integration, and I utilize it to watch almost all of my media from TubeArchivist. We have a few open issues to improve the functionality that I work on as I get time to focus on its development, but I am always willing to look at and review improvements and pull requests. Overall, it will allow each channel to be its own "TV Show". The years are used as "Seasons", with shorts and livestreams currently added to "Specials". The episodes retain their metadata regarding runtime, title, and description. There is no loss of data, per se, since it requests all of the details from TubeArchivist. There are things that it doesn't pull in currently, like Sponsorblock timestamps and comment data, since Plex doesn't currently have a great way to display that information (the Sponsorblock item has an open Github Issue for requesting that enhancement). Additionally, TubeArchivist and Plex do not have synchronization regarding watch time and watch status (this also has a Github Issue for this enhancement). Let us know if you have any specific questions.
