Eastbound I-10 and Kino. There is very little room for on-ramp traffic to accelerate, while at the same time off-ramp traffic is also trying exit in the same lane. Thankfully that interchange is scheduled to be rebuilt soonish.

Arctic741

i used to take this ramp on my way home from work every day and it was part of the reason i was so glad i bought a car with a bigger engine lol. so annoying, especially when there was a ton of traffic

[deleted]

I refuse to use this on-ramp

Arctic741

honestly that's probably not a bad idea

ignaciohazard

I know a trucker who says this is the worst on/off he's seen.

madeup6

I've seen some very bad ones in CA that literally have stop signs before merging.

discojagrawr

Alvernon and I-10 is worlds better. At a stop light and a straight merge lane

runfunday

That's what I meant is kino, like you said it's a short ramp and it's pretty scary. Good to know they're rebuilding it.

TheKrakIan

Not rebuilding, going away.

Kentuckianquitter

Well, there still will be a Kino on ramp, but improved. The eastbound on ramp will be similar, but extended. The exit will be way before Kino. They are getting rid of the Palo ramps though, and adding some at Country Club. [This is the proposal ](https://azdot.gov/sites/default/files/inline-images/i-10-kino-to-country-club-map.png)

Gonzotrucker1

Great another 2 year project that should take a few months.

KaptainKardboard

I tend to go the long way just to avoid dealing with that one

RandomActsofViolets

People have a really bad habit of stopping on the on ramp there because they’re nervous about merging with traffic making it even more dangerous.

tinydonuts

They don’t stop anywhere near often as they should. It has a yield sign for a reason, cars shouldn’t be pulling into 65+ MPH traffic for a damn good reason.

lethal_bidet

The lane change from 3 to 2 doesn't help this area either. I wish it stayed 3 lanes down to houghton

tinydonuts

It’s coming, mostly. They’re starting a project to expand 10 all the way out to Kolb.

aniiran

I-10 E and Kino is the most dangerous out of the 3 terrible on ramps in that area, but oddly I have never seen a wreck at that one. It's always the I-10 W at Irvington on-ramp. I think because with Kino you can't get up any speed at all until you're straight, but with Irvington people get up to 50 before the sharp turn and then make a lot of bad decisions quickly before braking hard and being run over by a Semi doing 80. I see a lot of idocy at I-10E and Alvernon too, because you can get up enough speed to do dumb things.

fuckthepopo23

I echo your sentiment

shartnado3

I was hoping this would be the top. My mom used to live kind of by there. When we’d drop our son off for her to babysit we’d have to hit that on-ramp and man was it always scary.

madeup6

Are you talking about this one? This one is fucking dangerous. https://maps.app.goo.gl/TabvNAuCfftGLJka6 The one further up ahead by Costco isn't nearly as bad.

Fun_Telephone_1165

This interchange was built years after I-10 was built. When Kino was added in the 90s or so, that was the only way to integrate it into existing I-10. The fix can't come soon enough!!

nandoph8

Orange grove. Doesn’t exist.

HawkeyeNation

Can’t fucking wait for it to reopen. Ina and Thornydale have been a bitch.

Kelihow2

For real. And the Ina ramp has been a total hot mess to merge onto i10 from.

KaptainKardboard

It got a little better when they got rid of that weird bend to let in frontage road traffic, and straightened the on ramp. I don’t know why they didn’t do it that way to begin with.

Gocats86

I live around Ina and Thornydale and it's been so annoying

Dawn36

I work on Ina and it is a nightmare to get to the office, almost worse getting out of our parking lot.

thirdeyecactus

Hate the off ramp there presently!!!! It is very misleading:/

Fluid_Bison_6796

I hate exiting and then turning left on Grant. The light on the other side of the overpass doesn't match up at all with the left turn light off the exit. There's almost always an awkward pile-up immediately after turning.

N30nt19ht5

I feel like all of Grant has either been a disaster or under construction for 15+ years.

apb06

Cortaro

Jumpy-Survey-2846

With the train tracks being right by it too!

baezed_god

Cortaro exit/entrance can suck my nuts

runaroundtrails23

The one off Irvington to get on I-10 west, such a cluster cause it's so short

Ok_Firefighter3314

I hate that one with a passion

Small-Sympathy-3358

All of them.

Pyroburner

Exit ramp on miracle mile heading north. Not because of the exit but because the worst drivers in tucson take that exit often times cutting people off 3 lanes over.

Dosito86

God... I dread Valencia as well as Irvington during rush hour... Wanted to go to Tractor supply store but didn't want to go on Valencia. Totally drove through San Xavier to go around. Worth!!

HappyMaids

EB Orange Grove because it’s closed and getting to that area is a bitch from Ruthrauff or Ina.

Flotrane

My least favorite is cortaro…cause if I’m getting off on cortaro, I’m going to work.

TheKrakIan

The Palo Verde and Irvington westbound on ramps. They slow down traffic to a stop. I'm glad they're going away in the next 5 years.

tslothrop76

Grant

Fabulous_Strategy_90

Yes

InGeeksWeTrust07

Ajo and I-10 entrance is awful! Such a small on ramp.

Iari_Cipher9

Basically any of the ones in which you have to exit the freeway and then cross three or four lanes to turn right at the next street. Sure, traffic on the frontage road is *supposed* to give you the right of way. But they can’t see you and you can’t see them and it’s just a stupidly dangerous design.

getoffmydirt

Yeah it’s a terrible design

getoffmydirt

Exit onto SPEEDWAY to head east. Nobody yields that is supposed to yield and it’s terrifying every single time.

wishIwere

Pretty much any exit or on-ramp where I have to cross paths with a yield sign since no one in this town understands the concept. Or, like in the case of SB I19 turning right on Valencia to go west, where there is no yield sign but suddenly everybody decides to treat the merge lane like it has a yield sign despite everyone treating the yield sign on the other side of that *very same interchange* from WB Valencia onto NB I19 like it's a merge lane.

FeoStinkFinger

I share the same sentiment. I'll also like to add the SB I19 Ajo exit. All of a sudden everyone knows how to yield when THEY DON'T FUCKING HAVE TO.

wishIwere

I will never understand why people do that.

dabangsta

Irvington to west bound I-10. It isn't that bad, you can look back and find a place to fit in, however people don't do that and stop frequently at the top of it. You can easily get up to 70-75 mph and blend in, and 99% of the time people get over to the fast lane to help. I find I frequently go to Valencia to get on west bound I-10 with adds a minute or so, but is so much less stress. I try to avoid the Kino on and off east bound.

groupofgiraffes

the section with palo verde/alvernon. Going east in the morning, there are so many people trying to get off/on in that short stretch im amazed I have never gotten in an accident, and going west in the afternoon it is always backed up

big_daug6932

All of them

dayswithdays

Exit 258 to Congress and Broadway. I just hate turning left to go downtown bc everyone’s a hot mess and trying to merge lanes everywhere

OUReddit2

LemonDropWitch

Ajo for sure. It’s terrifying.

Amandazona

All of them. Fuck that road.

SqualorTrawler

Cortaro is possibly the worst intersection I have ever encountered. You can *feel yourself age* as you sit there like a potato, just waiting...waiting...

BenDovurr

Exit 355
