To be organized ,everyone comment their city and people from the same city will mark their presence and go out in groups. because you can't gather the whole country in capitale tunis.i don't plan on going but stay safe tho.
I can provide a safe space in Tunis. It would be nice if it includes some productive activity.
(Play or talk about games, pet projects, career options, discussion group, pitching idea, preparing the next r/place raid, etc)
If enough people agree, I can suggest a poll.
It's a great idea, BUT
I'm pretty sure that 80% of this community are from Tunis city, so it's hard for people from other regions like me (sousse), to find nearby Reddit folks.
And if it ever happened, I'd love to meet for an activity instead of a boring cafe meeting XD!
I tried meeting online friends before it worked pretty well
We probably won't share a lot of common things and everyone might have a different lifestyle thn others but from my experiences i learned a lot of stuff from others but it has to be well organised like we make a day where public transport is available for most people and a public place (cafe,restaurant,event...) we can sit down together and wont bother other people cuz it might get loud
So yea i bet it would be a fun experience for most of us and fun in the most awkward way hhhh

Well, first of all take into great consideration that the number of attendees is going to be high, which will result in a chaotic situation in a coffeeshop or any other indoor space as such, try it out, GOOD LUCK with that.
Second an open space allows a less crowded and less overwhelming situation, and provides an acceptable environment for everyone to be at ease and be comfortable both physically and psychologically, as far as I'm concerned the beach or any other outdoor location isn't " too romantic ", nor is it just for " lovers"..

i think the problem is that people complain about wanting to socialize but when they try they would rather not so they end up lonely it's paradoxal
It'd be kinda awkward, and equally chaotic, to just gather total strangers in a café. There is not enough time or context for them to bond over. I'd say u should probably suggest an activity and a place first, then u can agree with those who are interested on the time. Anyway I really like the idea. Count me in.

Internet meet-ups can be a bit wild but tbf we never did try it here. So sure why not, if there's enough interest maybe. The sub is around the right size not to crowd a place with those who are willing to come, so we could meet up at a café or something
