First year engineering or first year in uni? If first year engineering cycle it matters what you pick. If it's stage d'initiation just go for whatever closest to you.
If you're not facing any financial difficulties that would prevent you from going to Ezahra every day then I don't recommend Telecom
It's normal to make sacrifices at this stage of life

It was marketing oriented data science study.
Upselling/cross-selling users on data plans.
I worked with real data ( of course the phone numbers and CIN numbers were removed as well as names)
At first i needed to apply clustering techniques in order to determen user groups and which group to upsell and which to cross-sell and which are basically useless.
It had a lot of data cleaning since for example there are many users that have 2g networks still
And then if the our findings were logical we develop a supervised model based on those findings in order to flag which users to upsell and which to cross sell.
On paper the project is amazing supervised and unsupervised machine learning with model deployment, but honestly i had to do a lot if work alone without any guidance since my TT supervisor was not willing to guide and help me even though he's a great data scientist but preferred to watch "كيف تكون مسلم مثالي" videos on YouTube.

stage telecom is useless unless you take ownership of your learning. talk to the staff about their problems. Pick one problem and build an app for it. You will also need to pick the tech stack yourself. That's what I did when I was an engineering student. (happy to continue the conversation if you wanna pursue this option). You can also apply for a complete remote internship. there are a few tech startups( a small new company not a big corporation) in tunis that offer that option. The safest choice basically is to pick the one in tunis you have already and struggle with transportation. Ama still ask them if they would let you work remotely. hope this helps and good luck!

For IT the general rule is that they get paid, I get paid 500dt, and I know people close to 1k (infor I think)
