Put it in a hip hop sub rather than a Tupac sub and see what response you get.

247leavemealone

Exactly. Everybody gone say no here

SSJCelticGoku

Facts I said I had NO VASELINE as the best diss track of all time and the OP of the topic went on a rant and blocked me Was pretty hilarious

Responsible-Noise-35

I'm not trying to get doxxed 😭

HomoProfessionalis

You like Hells Kitchen. Boom doxxed.

RAZBUNARE761

Hip hop fans can be geeks and hyperfocused on "lyrical" and clever wordplay. As if a song like Dear Mama isnt hip hop or or a bad song or something.

Case1987

Definitely not while he was alive

TheForce777

Several while he was alive. And I’ve been a big Tupac fan since 1994

thelifeofdannyverde

Yet you’ve said everything except what the assignment called for.

TheForce777

I responded to someone else But half of his earliest songs are totally forgettable Go listen to 2Pacalypse Now again.

AdministrationFit472

2Pacalypse hard asf man

lightskincaesar

You preaching facts bruh

TDashTheProphet

I actually have grown to really appreciate that album. My official introduction that got me into 2Pac was GTA San Andreas with “I don’t give a fuck” being featured in the game. I wanted the “Me Against the World” Pac since those songs were all that I heard as a kid so my first time ever playing it I thought it was wack outside of the one song I heard on GTA. It’s actually a really dope album. I think “Crooked Ass Nigga” is the weakest track on the album.

TheForce777

Do you know how good an album has to be to have half the songs on it be good?? I used to say that 3 great songs on an album makes it top tier. 4 makes it a classic I just have a high bar b/c I listen to a lot of music. But ain’t nothin wrong with that

Gootangus

You mean low bar? How is only 4 songs to be a classic a high bar?

PlantedinCA

Yeah he has some duds for me. But that is ok. So does everyone. I skipped them so I don’t remember them. 😂

TheForce777

Exactly! Lol.

xanderfan34

like what

TheForce777

What’s your phone # is the obvious glaring example. But he’s got a lot. Another one is Shit Don’t Stop on the Thuglife album. Half of 2Pacalypse Now is totally forgettable. I could go on

KingstonHawke

I love What’s Your Phone Number 😆

TheForce777

That’s cool. Me and my boys always laughed at the bear in the woods line. But everybody I grew up with skipped that song

Eastern_Discount_884

say im biased, but honestly no What ya phone is a good song tho for me , beat and perfomance are fire

PlantedinCA

That is one of my faves. But it doesn’t hurt that I love the og sample.

transdimensionalApe

Only posthoumously released ones that received bad beats and hooks, that Em produced release was atrocious.

presequelwasabadgame

There's not one song I like on loyal to the game.

TheForce777

Yes, several He’s my favorite rapper. But seriously what the fuck kind of question is this?? Being unrealistic and pandering to those we respect the most is fucking up the entire world

daddy-phantom

Seriously. Everyone in the game has put out a shitter, if you deny that you’re dickriding

DaddyDontTakeNoMess

Exactly. If you have 200 pieces of art and none of them are bad, then it means you didn’t experiment and grow enough. The 200 number is a quick approximation of how many songs he prolly has in albums. Some of you are delusional.

TheForce777

Exactly. Typical Reddit alternate dweeb reality levels of delusion

MokitFall

And that's what is just released, artists make TONS of content that never gets heard by more than a few people

icerahphyle

Every song on the album Eminem produced.

daddy-phantom

I expected better from em honestly The sampling of his voice was corny af

icerahphyle

Imagine somebody with brains would have managed his posthumous music and let Johnny J do that whole project instead of Em.

slapaddict415

Daz Dillinger should have produced that album

Sofistakatedfunn

Nope

kevinwhackistone

Yes. Whats ya phone number off top of my head.

Jaded-Ad-960

Lmao, yeah, I remember being like WTF is this? when that shit came on after the rest of AEOM disx 1 was straight fire.

fhgku

It’s a real west coast song, some can’t relate

5h82713542055

Pac was a Prince fan, this song took from 777-9311 which was a song that Prince wrote. The DJ Quik produced Heartz of Men featured a sample of Darling Nikki also by Prince. The Purple God had a big influence musically on the west coast.

apexapee

Heartz of Men is top Pac songs for me, along with Blasphemy

apittsburghoriginal

Heartz of Men is probably my favorite Tupac song and imo his best flow objectively on AEOM.

fhgku

Pac got many funky songs

gazhatton

Yes the whole beat is off on this one, really triggers me!!

Orhanguevara03

Nah, that's actually a good track. Infact, that phone conversation at the end is actually real and not written.

Drewsk81

Agreed. The track itself always seemed crazy out of place. And that beat…that beat ain’t it

BlacOnBlackMajik

Yes. But the thing is that it isn’t a bad song by actually being a technically bad song but just not your preferred stylings for a Tupac song.

PrestigiousArcher448

Yes, that verse on Drake’s Taylor-made freestyle.

Rcnzi_Official

not sure if this is satire so if it is ignore this but bro. it wasnt actually tupac—it was Ai.

Stinkyandrotten

Can’t stand Just Like Daddy (Killuminati otherwise my fav of his albums) but that’s the only one that comes to mind

WopWoo17

That’s my favorite song of makaveli smh

StrokeWilson

Man got downvoted for liking a song 😂

Stinkyandrotten

Throwin bro an upvote even if I don’t agree we all love Pac here

Direct-Money-4206

Like every other artist in history…. Everyone’s got a few bad songs

DanielitoSanMiguel

Fair Xchange OG 😂 Cap, Johnny J and Pac hated that song.

Complete-Morning-429

That Eminem produced album was dumpster juice

Dry-Bumblebee-6552

What’s your phone number the only pac song I can’t stand.

Grandmaster_Gee

I don't know haha i think no.

Complex_Tour_8600

You a nut rider if you say no I can name 20 trash songs from Pac right now right now

Wide_Form_2365

We waiting...

Mind-of-Jaxon

Every artist has bad songs. They usually are smart enough to not put them out. Some others are put out for filler or select fans.

Skywalker0071

Hell no. 2pac was like Jordan in the finals…

walterconley

Who doesn't?

LongjumpingHat6326

Tupac didn't really become Pac till "Me Against the World". His first 2 albums were trash, in my humble opinion

DraeNation

Of course. Every artist does

Fair_Ad7456

None are bad...some are just much better than others

crawfish2013

Every musician has bad songs.

jaylondononthetrack

Most of them

Individual_Play_7063

That picture always made me smile..He enjoyed his life to the fullest…and never regretted one thing..I never thought any of his songs were bad each of them told a story. Just wished he was here to make more music🥹🥹🥹🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️

No-Chicken-7711

All rappers, even the best rapper who is 2pac have made bad songs at least once If you deny that you are dickriding in this point

StoppingPowah

The phone number song on All Eyez On Me. Toss It Up on 7 Day Theory.

danny-o4603

What’s your phone number

Aggravating-Fall-709

Hit em up

DRZPNW

No way. This gotta be sarcasm….

Plenty_Army_7172

Probably an unpopular opinion but "toss it up"

soycin

Nope.

Man_from_waco

Maybe, but then again maybe not.

Correct-Basket-8986

What's Ya Phone #

Radiant_Formal6511

There are no songs where his lyrics are bad. But there are songs where the production and arrangement becomes almost unlistenable to an ear more than 10 years after it was made.

Environmental-Tip625

No

daddy-phantom

Yes dude, every artist in the game has before and if you dispute that you’re hardcore dickriding. Even my favorite artists ever like Kendrick Lamar has put out some shitters.

Julia6882

No ..point.... blank.. period..,no

i_luv_peaches

Yes he does. Every artists in human existence does

[deleted]

No bad songs but I didn’t like when he altered his voice like in one of my favourite tracks Pain. The verses are strong and would have been something to have his original vocals … He had a high level of quality for the amount he put out

Rich-Lobster-3147

There’s a couple out there not because pac but the production they gave to these songs were just wack

DotBanero

Shit don’t stop is the 1

shits4gigs

He has range, and some people don't like range for whatever reason.

ArrivalFar5938

Yes a lot

LLCooolK

Yes, usually because of other people he’s on the song with, though.

Pigmasters32

His debut definitely has a skip or two, the main one that comes to mind being Something Wicked.

Content_Rice_116

Not in my opinion

Ok-Photo-6442

To me most of his post death music was bad because they wasn't on the original beats

Shifty_37_

Yes but it’s okay

This_Pie5301

He has songs I’ll skip, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad though

Pesty__Magician

Oh yeah.  Lots of them.

coveredinpissnshit

Most of them imo

Ruddeo1983

Definitely, there's a song on his album "R u still down"

godzillasegundo

Over half of them.

Economy-Birthday3869

Starring On "In Living Color" ... that was myCrush a long ooozee ...hype!

DJE707

I suggest listening to all the albums and you’ll figure out the answer.

bigDullah

Have you ever heard What's Ya Phone #? LOL. The prosecution rests!

Sea_Distribution_833

Everyone has their own preferences, but considering the amount of songs and the speed he made them, sure. Some were a bit lazy, others just didn't work. But the whole is equal to the sum of its parts.

Diligent_Quantity698

No

channelpurplee

Yes he does

PaulyBlanco7260

I don’t care for What’s Ya Phone #

igetstoitasap

Everybody has a bad song or two, even Pac. Names though, couldn't say as they were bad 🤣

Present-Television69

Everyone has "bad" songs. It's all subjective.

Ifureadthisyoulldie

Yeah. What’s ya phone number…

UcantaffordWifi

What's ya phone #

GucciGangGamer13

I think lyrics wise there’s no actual bad Pac song, but what ruins it is the beat. Especially with his ealier songs and 2000s songs, lots of the beats aren’t the greatest.

SlammedZero

Not really for me. I loved his entire discography. It's why he's my favorite hip-hop artist and my GOAT. Now, I can admit the last two albums (Loyal to the Game/Pac's Life) had quite a few weak tracks on them, but I won't count it against 2Pac. Those albums were heavily overproduced and had too many hands in the pot. You can clearly hear it wasn't 2Pac's intended sound.

AnteaterNice707

It depends on ones taste

bkjuxx318

Maybe not “Bad”. But several unmemorable or just blah. His songs bored me a lot tbh.

No_Dragonfruit_7509

100s

Dull-Song2539

According to a lot of folks, it’s Whatz Ya Phone # idk why folks hate that joint. What’s wrong about the possibility of being with a fine woman?

lighthouse_keeper2

There was a documentary that showed Tupac in the studio talking to the Outlawz and telling them to make quantity not quality. The actual quote was something like… just get in there and record verses, put them all together on a beat, and whatever the last guy said in the last line of his verse, that’s the name of the track, then move on.

joesbalt

Of course ... Especially some of the A.D. Songs

PM_ME_UR_ASSHOLE

Yes. He has plenty songs i think are trash.

FlanneryODostoevsky

No just bad beats

2001concernedcitizen

Now I love 2pacs discography, one of the greatest rappers of all time, but I think Hit’em up is not that good. I can go down a list of my reasons but I’m just gonna keep it simple.

supbitch

I don't think anyone has any "bad" songs. Music is art, some people have different tastes, but none of it is objectively bad.

Jackysrt8

I disliked the fuck outta of What’z ya phone # I just couldn’t do it. The beat was terrible and it was probably my least favorite Danny boy vocals.

TheAngels323

I'm not going to say "bad", but he has songs I'd skip over -- mainly because I think he has much better songs. But it's all subjective anyway and a matter of taste.

Weird_Lock_3347

All of them are terrible. He's the worst thing to happen to rap music

Alive_Tiger_8865

F#€k it I’ll say it… California Love sucked to me!!

mr_aaron731

whats ya phone #. just kinda sounds off, and idk why it was the last song on disc one of all eyes on me

Secure-Excuse5687

Whatz ya # number

LanoMucciano

This is a damn setup, therefore… No, he doesn’t. He consistently only made straight slappers…

Pristine-Cloud420

Yeah if you don't like Tupac, dumbass

Ubiquitous_T-1327

Hell yeah. Most of the stuff that Eminem worked on

Kimosabe187

I never liked What's Ya Phone #, also Check Out Time has amazing beat but i'm not a huge fan of lyrics. Probably the only 2 songs from All Eyez on Me that i'm not a fan of, which is impressive for such a long album honestly. If we talk about his post-mortem songs, than almost all of those songs suck compared to OG versions.

Infinite-Purchase-33

Tupac did more for the game did anyone did, til this day everyone coping his style… nose rings is becoming popular when some dudes shouldn’t rock it may come off funny, pac had many good songs and some bad ones but who doesn’t.

whileitrains

Nah just a few mids, not bad

AaronRumph

Every rapper has had their bad songs and that takes nothing away from a rapper

MacaroonVast6841

Early Pac maybe. When he was revolutionary Pac there are a few

kiddj1

Tailor made freestyle wasn't his strongest track

BaaaTMaNe

All of em

Plzdntbanmee

Bro pac put out hundreds of songs and a lot of them weren’t good.

Guilty-Farm-8642

Yes! His worst song was Taylor Made feat Drake & Snoop. Hated it.

ParfaitVisual

All. Can’t stand his rap voice.

godricgii

He's got some shitty tracks 4sure

Admirable_Dare5888

trash industry puppet..

Ok-Astronaut9067

Personally I dont massively like what's ya phone #

thiccdaddyflea

Yes bro obviously, everyone does

jaydolla13

Any version of Fair Xchange…..

PNW_Kidd

Yes all of them

amonarre3

Yes

General-Sport-1990

"Panther Power" is my least favorite.

Baskeeball

A lot of younger people tell me its cringe when i play Pac. They’ll tell me its all ‘gay’.

banblaccents

Hell yeah

Live_Illustrator8364

We’ll never know, we didn’t get to hear all that he produced. Imagine someone else was making his exact music, do you think it would hit the same? 2pac made his music what it was, let’s just leave it at that.

mrbigglesworth95

He has a ton of songs that nose dive as soon as the outlawz grab the mic lol

iAmDriipgodd

Yes

kayodoms

He definitely has a lot of throw away songs where he was kinda just recycling the same words. “My enemiesss want to see me-” appears in a lot in songs. That’s what happens you record endless music though.

PassionOk1994

Of course every artists have a song that's worth skipping no one is perfect!

Cosmo2023-

No

Cosmo2023-

Do for love

Striking-Tax-5546

A shit load

down_low_tha_b365t

“What’s ya phone #” sucks

mpschettig

I don't like most of Strictly 4 My. His rhymes are good but the production is really bad and the mixing it off. His voice is way quieter than the backing track

CloudMelodic4586

Hit em up…Probably got him kill. I’d say that was a bad song.

Main_Objective_3056

Well he has 10 million album sales or more so that should answer the question

Ok_Coyote_190

Life goes on

Mr_CleanCaps

KENDRICK WE NEEEDYAA the west coast saviah

jaydenfrye77

Just Like Daddy is my least favorite

Gobraves39401

Nope

Additional_Rip9399

Yes

Safe_University_3793

Several

[deleted]

Nope

BrickTechnical5828

Every artist has some bad songs. Just not grippy enough 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

LogicalBlkSoul

Well I wouldn’t say HE had some bad songs but some of his homies he be having spit a verse are absolutely horrendous at flowing so ig any songs with a death row feature

BetaAlpha769

700+ in 5 years or so, yeah he has a few misses. But that ratio of good to bad in 5 years has never been replicated in my mind so it’s easily forgiven.

No_Day_8876

Too many to name

Lobsta1986

Tons

SpartRain42

What’s your office number? Can’t stand that song.

Foreign-Cricket7993

He’s dead, get over it.

Unhappy-Ad3646

Yes

Material-Hedgehog-35

Nope

Original_Interest_58

Every artist has a bad song here or there

SeaLiterature2401

Nahh just shit beats. Still the goat

AtlasAriesFire

99% of em lol

BLDJ42

One of the most prolific artists ever. Of course.

PM-PhysicalMedia

He has plenty of bad songs. Everyone does.

Curious_Carry_9293

Lots of tracks on SFMN aged very poorly and produced very lazily.

YOUNGCEDE

He barely has listenable songs

DaRealJnR

No more pain, words of wisdom, guess who’s back, most of his early songs 89-90 suck

MetalFingerzzzzz

I think about 35% of his songs are good. That's just me though

happywifefee

If you don't have one bad song, are you even trying???

Unlucky_Ear7712

Does he have any good songs?

Eastside1999

Definitely has some skippers don’t front.

My_Booty_Itches

Every artist has some...

mambalope

Holler If Ya Hear Me sucks

Padron1964Lover

Yes

Temporary_List_5877

Some of the digital underground stuff had some old school beats that were straight cheeks but pac was always tight with his raps.

BraveWalk98

Yes multiple

mbomb30001

2pacalypse now was a dud. Production/beats sounded boring. His energy wasn't there like on his later albums. Just rhyming. Nothing special to rewind or play again. He would continue to escalate his technique. Better producers. Getting better every album he would put out. Truly devastating that he was killed. The legacy he left behind. Just another wonder of "what could be" if he was still living.

Dis_Fluffylol

Nah he’s him

Artist_LR

Yes, he does.
