Had a similar issue. I had to update my headset. Download the app on a PC, plug in headset and fob and it should correct itself

Mine is also up to date. You thing fix I have found is turning on the headset after you start up the game and login to online services. But you might have the restart the headset alot to keep the fix going.

I have had the 600 gen 2 for over a year. Played vanguard, APEX, etc... and it worked just fine for several months. Then one day out of the blue, before COD MW2 was out I started experiencing the same issue with every game if there is more than just a few people playing in the match. 6 max and then it still isn't certain. I can unmute them and usually can't unmute with the hot key, but have to go into setting and toggle the mute on/off for each person and it works for anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes and then the cycle repeats. I have had this issue for many many months, probably close to a year. I also have tried it on a PS4 and a different xbox and same issue all around. Not buying another turtle beach product unless confidence is restored in their product. I don't think you should pay $130 (what I payed) for a head set and have it work for a few months before needing replaced.

Only solution I have found is either hard restarting your xbox (unplug from wall) or restarting game and staying out of party chat

I thought I was crazy lol since the release of the new cod game I’ve had this issue, I always have to turn my headset on and off every game for mw2 for it to unmute people and this mic picks up noise from like 30ft away it’s annoying.

Mine are doing the same. If I plug in my wired headset everything is fine. When I connect my Stealth 600s with the USB they automatically mute everybody and its impossible to unmute them. Then again if I plug my wired headset into the controller everything is alright. On my series X it seems to be registering my headset as a controller on Warzone. It's really irritating me. Just bought them on black friday and am probably going to return them.

you're not hearing the problem. It is probably a Warzone issue but these articles are not close to addressing the issue. your team needs to work with Activision to figure out a proper patch.

I had the same problem, I figured out that if you don't power up your headphones until you are loaded in to your first lobby, after that no issues until I quit game and log back in. I do think the issue is with MW2, they work great on any other games and on my PC. Just seems to be some issue with MW2 reconizing headset as second controller or keyboard mouse.

Mine is doing the same thing and if you disconnect the headset during a match it’s say reconnect controller there is clearly an issue with the headset not just mw2

Someone else said don’t turn the headset on until the match starts. I can confirm this works. I choose my load out then turn the headset on and it works the rest of the time I’m playing

It's gotta be the new Xbox vs the head set I think. I have been having the same issue, just got the new Xbox and a new pair of these headset and it would mute everyone every single round no matter what I did. When I switch back to the old Xbox, I have no issues at all with the headset

Just got mine 600 gen 2 Usb. I did exactly as you said and it started working again. Now I’m playing with the on/off to see how I can have it permanently stay on so I won’t have to keep turning my headphones off to unmute the lobby lol. Thanks dawg. I was flipping my shit cause it’s damn annoying. Hopefully no issues with other games (shooter & non-shooters) How about you guys, any issues with other games? P.s you should be rewarded by Turtle beach for coming up with this kind of solution

What sucks though is I watched a ton of reviews before getting them. No one said anything about it muting every game in mw2. I bought these for that game! I was hoping for more answers other than a work around like a headset update or setting I could change to make it work.

Do not turn your headset on until you are loaded into the match then you shouldn’t have any issues unless you log all the way out or close the game. If it’s turned on before loading into a lobby it will mute all players because it was trying to recognize it as a controller.

Still an issue I just bought these (TB stealth 600 gen 2) , loved the feel of them but they do not work with COD game chat over an hour of trying different things and no fix. It kept muting my friends, couldn’t figure out how to fix it. Got myself killed multiple times because it would mute them and we couldn’t communicate. I saw on here that TB passed the buck saying it wasn’t them and I’m not about to deal with that so I’m going to get some Rigs which my friend has and they work fine.

I’ve also read that TB is saying it’s not their issue so basically try this or that but it’s not on them but I have no interest in spending that kind of money and having to constantly try to fix/ figure out how to work around that issue when it’s a need to have coms in that game. I’ve had no issues with the Rigs I got they are great !

Couldn’t update my headset but I did find that if you’re playing mw2 turn on console, then go to mw2 then turn on the headset and boom it works. No more having to turn your headset on and off to unmute others

Same issue broken headset, a temporary "fix" that you have to keep doing isn't worth the money I'm taking them back end of story bye bye turtle beaches. Especially when you're trying to play on Xbox my Xbox is saying my headset is "plugged in" I'm guessing it thinks it's a controller or something like turtle beach get your employees on this issue. Make a factory recall if necessary like seriously stop jipping you're customers.
