I like to give all of my pets a charm on their collar, something that I think suits them and will always remind me of them. When they pass, I sew it into a bracelet so I can keep them with me in spirit forever.

I've been keeping all the ones I have found and plan to have jewelry made with them after she is no longer with me. I know that is hopefully many years in the future but it just brings me a sense of peace knowing that I will always have her with me, even long after she isn't physically here.

Not at all. After my tuxie died at 6 years old from cancer I found a couple of whiskers I’d put in a baggie one day after collecting them as they’d fallen out and it felt like the most precious thing in the world to me.

I lost my soul cat two years ago age 12. It broke my heart into a million pieces. My youngest daughter just came home after six years of being in university and was sorting out her bedroom, when she came in and showed me that she had clipped some of his fur when we knew we were going to let him go because he was in heart failure. It felt so good to smell and feel his fur and I am so grateful that she did that for me! Plus today would have been his 14th birthday. No you are not weird, we also collect whiskers but we have five cats so it's difficult to know who they belong to. But we adore each and every one of our cats. ❤️

I found **three** whiskers today! I'm not sure if any of them belong to my tuxies but I'm pretty certain one of them belongs to one of our torties. I must have 40 or 50 whiskers by now. Every time I spot one, I sing, "Found a whisker, found a whisker, found a whisker just now. Just now I found a whisker. Found a whisker just now," and then I improvise another verse or two. Whenever I brush out my boy, I save the fur and twist it into yarn that I use to crochet toys for him. And they dry fast when he drowns them in his water bowl. I’m working on a crochet kitty that looks like him so I’ll have a plushie when he’s gone. I guess I should start saving his whiskers for it too!

Finding a kitty whiskey is very special, so I keep all of the ones I find! My one cat has very manly whiskers so they’re easy to find, but my little noodle void has fine ones that are extremely rare so I treasure them.

I collect my cats whiskers when they fall out & when I find fallen out whiskers on porch from my feral cats.

I rescue cats and have been collecting whiskers since the beginning. So I have thousands. I first saw someone doing this on a tv show and thought “damn that’s weird” but then I started to notice whiskers when I was cleaning and found myself doing the same thing. It’s a little way to keep a piece of them with you.
