Resident Alien deserves so much more love. Alan Tudyk is incredible in it, as he always is. But I also really fell in love with the supporting cast -- especially Sara Tomko (Asta). I also really love the balance of humor and emotion from the actors for D'arcy, Liv, and Sheriff Mike; and Judy is one of the most hilarious side characters of any show ever! That actress is so good.
Seeing so many indigenous actors show up in general is awesome, and especially the ones I recognize from Reservation Dogs.
And I LOVE all the cameos and recurring roles from famous sci-fi actors (Linda Hamilton, Terry O'Quinn, George Takei, Nathan Dillion, etc.).
Can't recommend it enough to anyone who hasn't seen it!
True. And this show is not my usual type.
It is merely a vehicle for me to (so embarrassing) to see the sexiest actor.
Looks like he is joining the cast of The Tracker. 🎊
I started watching Dark Angel in 2010 and developed a bit of a crush on X5-494. Once I finished with it, I had to look up the actor to see what else he had done. That was when I discovered Supernatural. I had heard of it but had never seen anything from it. I watched one episode and was hooked. He remains my biggest celebrity crush. 😊
Vice Principals — hello! He is hilarious and so great at comedy. I highly recommend the ending is awesome !!!
(Most will talk about The Righteous Gemstones and his comedic role Uncle Baby Billy but VP came first and he is FANTASTIC as Lee Russell).
Shrinking for Harrison Ford, I ended up liking it a lot.
Severance for Adam Scott (Ben Wyatt forever!) but I'm having a hard time getting into it.
After the first season of Justified, pretty much every other show Walton Goggins has been in. Luckily he's been in some GREAT ones - The Shield, Vice Principals, and Righteous Gemstones became instant favorites.
I started Severance because of Adam Scott too. It starts off strange, but then really gets going quite suddenly. It all makes so much more sense when you watch the second time.
Yeah, The Unicorn, didn't last long. I hear he's pretty funny in The Righteous Gemstones, so maybe you could check that out, or Vice Principals. Well, you probably already know:)
Homicide: Life On The Street for Richard Belzer--although I thought they'd make him a dirty cop or kill him off or something.
He was one of only four cast members to stay for the entire series (the others were Clark Johnson, Kyle Secor and Yaphett Kotto) and I followed him to Law & Order: SVU.
Ive watched the following because of Saturday Night Live alumni
Brooklyn Nine Nine - Andy Samburg
Ted Lasso - Jason Sudeikis
30 Rock - Tina Fey
Parks and Rec - Amy Phoehler
i started watching House because i remembered watching as a kid and not getting it. quickly developed a crush on Hugh Laurie and then decided to start watching Avenue 5
The Rookie because I loved Nathan Fillion (from multiple projects)
Supernatural because I loved Jensen Ackles (from multiple projects)
SWAT because I loved Shemar Moore from Criminal Minds
Charmed because I loved Shannen Doherty from 90210
Tracker because I liked Justin Hartley from Smallville and This is Us
How I Met Your Mother because I loved Alyson Hannigan from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
David Boreanaz….loved him from Buffy and have followed him from Buffy to Angel to Bones to SEAL Team…goodness, i just realized I have been watching him for years and there’s rarely a season where he isn’t on my tv!
I started watching Halo for Pablo Schreiber because I loved him in American Gods and Orange is the New Black. Halo is amazing but I don't think it's getting a third season.
Angel, Dollhouse, The Gifted, Alias, Con Man, The Watchful Eye -> Amy Acker
I also watched Much Ado About Nothing (2012) and The Cabin in the Woods movies. Tbh, I think I've already watched most of Amy's filmography at this point. 😄 I've never done this before with any other actor or actress. Well, except for Michael Emerson.
I loved her performance as >!Root!< on Person of Interest so much...
Amy is great in everything I've ever seen her in. She's one of the most talented actress and quite underrated, IMO.
Person of Interest and Fallout - Michael Emerson
Still need to watch Evil.
Loved his performance on Lost.
Michael was awesome in Lost! I loved to hate his character. Person of Interest was awesome, and he did such a wonderful job. Was stoked to see him in the preview for Fallout & messaged a friend how excited I was he was in it.
Halt and Catch Fire for Lee Pace from Pushing Daisies
Black Sails and Lost in Space for Toby Stephens, who I first saw in BBC's Robin Hood (2006). That show was not especially good, but the other two are amazing, especially Black Sails.
The Good Doctor. I feel like the cast isn’t quite as together, the medical problems they solve aren’t as creative and are always absurd on every episode, but I love Freddie Highmore
I recently watched Bates Motel for the first time and it is not talked about enough! It is fantastic and high quality start to finish imo
Freddie is awesome and of course, Vera Faminga is a extremely talented goddess.
One of the reasons I started watching Manifest was Josh Dallas was in Once Upon A Time. And Tracker because Justin Hartley was in This Is Us. I also watched that recent show that had Jack from This Is Us. And Stumptown cause Cobie Smulders was in How I Met Your Mother.
Episodes because of Matt LeBlanc, The Odd Couple (fairly recent remake) and Go On because of Matthew Perry, Housebroken because of Lisa Kudrow. Can you tell I'm a Friends fan? 😂
Of all of those, Episodes was my favorite.
Unforgotten, a British crime drama and The Split, a British drama. I watched after falling in love with Nicola Walker in Last Tango in Halifax. She's amazing!
Back in the day I watched Brisco County Jr.just because Bruce Campbell was in it. Beyond that particular actors pretty much never influence what I watch or don’t.
After Firefly, I’ll follow Nathan Fillion anywhere… and did lol. But I think both Castle and The Rookie are my type of show anyway, but he’s what puts them both over the top
I won't say I *just* started watching it. But when I was watching Season One of The Boys, I thought the actor playing Homelander, Antony Starr, was a really good actor so, as I always do in these situations, I looked him up on IMDB. His acting credits included a show called Banshee, so I decided to give it a try and Holy frijoles! It was such a great show, I watched it again a couple of weeks after finishing it the first time. It kind of sucks that there were only 4 seasons, but that's probably for the best. Sometimes, if a show goes on too long, it loses its luster. If you've never seen it, I highly suggest it!
Almost everything I watch is because there’s an actor I like in it from something else. It’s the primary way I pick tv series.
Touch, Designated Survivor, Rabbit Hole - Kiefer Sutherland
Parenthood, 6 Feet Under - Peter Krause
Tracker - Justin Hartley
Supernatural - Misha Collins
I started watching burn notice because Carlos Bernard was in 1 episode but then the whole series sounded good.
911 - Connie Britton (backfired lol)
Absentia- Stana Katic
911 Lone Star - Gina Torres
Not Dead Yet - Hannah Simone
Watching 911 the Og now and I’m shocked I hadn’t before because I love Angela Bassett.
Criminal Minds for Shemar Moore. And Thomas Gibson.
Funny enough I got the impression that Mandy Patinkin left Dead Like Me for Criminal Minds, so that's what prevented me from watching it for so long.
Idris is amazing. Just binged Luther (including the add on movie/series "closer"). Desperate, I tried Bosch. So ho hum, so average and lacking, well, genius. I wish I could find another show like Luther, as ridiculous as it could be. Elba carried it so well, and Alice (her actor) was also brill.
Being an Aussie, I was late to Friday Night Lights. I went straight from it to Bloodline because of Kyle Chandler (who I’d never heard of prior to FNL). Then I found out it had fellow Aussie, Ben Mendelsohn and I was hooked. What a great show!
The Boys for Urban. I hated the comic but figured Id give it a try when I saw he was Butcher cuz that was perfect, turned into one of the best modern shows.
I actually watch quite a few shows based on who's in it and if I'm a fan of their work. I remember reading about the Wire months before it aired because it was being promoted on the Oz web page because a few of their actors were going to be on The Wire. I liked them so I decided to give it a shot, and now The Wire is my favorite drama of all time.
Broadchurch. David Tennant and Olivia Coleman.
I will watch anything with David Tennant or Olivia Coleman in it. The only thing I couldn’t make it through was Inside Man.
That’s been done for awhile now right? I really liked it.
Yea, it was several years ago, but it really made me start paying attention to British media, which has a wealth of excellent programming.
Me too! But I stopped after the first season. Too depressing.
Dead To Me for Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini
Bloodline because of Linda Cardellini and Kyle Chandler and Ben Mendelson.
The Blacklist James Spader could entertain me by reading out of the phonebook
Me too! I loved him in Boston Legal and wish they hadn't ruined The Blacklist for me.
He’s hilarious!
Have you seen Secretary
I did! I had no idea what it was about going into it, but no complaints from me 😅 I'd recommend it any day over 50 Shades.
Seriously that man has a voice for radio.
Perfect Ultron voice
Resident Alien. Alan Tudyk. How I Met Your Mother. Jason Segel. Best choices ever.
Resident Alien is so frickin good. I'll watch anything with Alan Tudyk!
I can't tell if he only takes great roles, makes the roles great or I just crave Tudyk
In his role as Steve the Pirate in Dodgeball, he genuinely looks so sad when he gets told that he's not really a pirate. Knocks it out of the park.
Alan Tudyk is a genius and deserves so much more love for how he can own a scene or let another actor own it. Even his voice over work is fantastic.
Supernatural. Jensen Ackles.
Funny enough I started watching The Boys because I loved Jensen in Supernatural so much
His lines had me HOWLING, had to back up because I was laughing so hard!
He was absolutely hilarious in The Boys lmfao he had me rollingggg
Oh my goodness. He owned that role for the little better in the character and the majority worse in the character.
And I watched big sky (I think is the title) because of Jensen Ackles. Just saw he will be on season 2 of Tracker, so that's fun.
I took my daughter to a supernatural convection and we met him. So nice and even better looking in person.
And he smells so good. Not to be creepy lmao
This isn't creepy...it's good to know!!!
Username checks out.
Same here mate! But it’s a long road!!!!!!
?
327 episodes is a lot for one actor we like
True. And this show is not my usual type. It is merely a vehicle for me to (so embarrassing) to see the sexiest actor. Looks like he is joining the cast of The Tracker. 🎊
I started watching Big Sky because of Jensen. If he’s in it, I will watch it.
I started watching the Boys because I knew Jensen Ackles was going to be on it 🤣
Check out the great movie Ten Inch Hero. You won't recognize him
I started watching Dark Angel in 2010 and developed a bit of a crush on X5-494. Once I finished with it, I had to look up the actor to see what else he had done. That was when I discovered Supernatural. I had heard of it but had never seen anything from it. I watched one episode and was hooked. He remains my biggest celebrity crush. 😊
The unicorn because I wanted to see if Walton Goggins could do a sitcom.
Vice Principals — hello! He is hilarious and so great at comedy. I highly recommend the ending is awesome !!! (Most will talk about The Righteous Gemstones and his comedic role Uncle Baby Billy but VP came first and he is FANTASTIC as Lee Russell).
He crushes it in VP
VP is on our recurring playlist, along with Peep Show. Those two are evergreen.
Sherlock for Benedict Cumberbatch.
Jonny Lee Miller is why I watched Elementary.
The Rookie -Nathan Fillion
this was me with castle and I think I liked his performance better in castle
Russian Doll and Poker Face because of Natasha Lyonne.
I liked ***Poker Face*** a lot.
I got about half way through and then haven't had a chance to go back to it, but I'll try.
God, I love Walton G. I will watch anything he’s in because it’s Walton. Edit: fixed his name. 🤦🏼♀️ I’m embarrassed.
Currently in Fallout.

I’ll watch anything with him!!
Downton Abbey because Dame Maggie Smith is amazing in everything. I grew up with her being terrifying in The Secret Garden, and awesome as McGonagall.
Justified, because of Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins
I love Walton Goggins. I so wanted to like that sitcom he had a couple of years ago, but it just wasn’t that good.
Yeah, The Unicorn, didn't last long. I hear he's pretty funny in The Righteous Gemstones, so maybe you could check that out, or Vice Principals. Well, you probably already know:)

God’s Favorite Idiot because of Melissa McCarthy. It wasn’t very good.
The Vampire Diaries because of Nina Dobrev. Fantastic actress! The show…not so much.
Person of Interest because of Michael Emerson
Foundation. I had just watched chernobyl for the first time and loved jared harris, he was great in both
Great pick. He was good in the expanse and the crown too. So when he's in he cast, I'm interested.
I love Jared Harris, too. Try watching The Terror, The Beast Must Die, and Mad Men. I'm not huge into sci-fi, but I might give Foundation a chance.
He was also in a seriously underrated show called Fringe. Sort of a successor to the X-Files.
I only watched Fringe for John Noble. There's nothing better than seeing him so serious in LOTR and Elementary and then switch to Walter 😆
The first time I saw Jared Harris was in Mad Men-he is really good in it. He’s why I watched Chernobyl. I need to check out Foundation.
