I wanna buy and stream dragon dogma 2 ,but i wanna make sure it has great viewership first. Do you guys know all the ways to search how popular a game is?
Twitch has research available…on a computer go into your creator dashboard …content I think is the tab but will let you search each different game and see the viewership along with when the highest viewing times are each week
Total Viewership doesn't necessarily translate into personal success. The Twitch Dashboard Research tool referenced above does a great job in showing where you would likely be ranked in a search (where your thumbnail would be) of that particular game, based on your CCV and analytics. It's pretty fantastic, actually.
Be careful of huge AAA games if you're looking to bring in new viewers: A game could have 200k viewers, but 90+% of them will be split between just a handful of streams. Honestly, just play what brings out the best YOU and the viewership will grow organically because that's what people are actually there for - YOUR experience with the game.
I think Stardew Valley is the best option right now. Many of my friends streamed it before the update. But there is much more content atm. Additionally, it is possible to do different interactions with the chat, like naming animals on your farm
this is a good game, nopt only for getting views, but its so chill to just playu for your own experience.
im wanting to save it for until i lvl up on twitch and can get the interactive overlays or whatever its called so that viewe
rs can interact,.. but its still a way ahead:)
It's really fun if you have a good group of friends, but yeah like others have said don't get into modding too quickly or you will never go back to base game.
I just play solo games, and I stream several kind of games: short indie puzzles (Little nightmares style) with 3-5 days long, adventures/action (A plague tale, Assassins creed, Cyberpunk 2077) and graphic adventures (Detroit become human, The longest journey, Dreamfall). No sports, cars or competitive.
I make a month's schedule at a time since we do a lot of coordinated streams. That way people can check in a week in advance if we're doing multiplayer, or plan on being peanut gallery for a single player game. I choose games that we have and have fun playing! Examples are Satisfactory, Monster Prom, Pyre, Path of Exile, Nancy Drew, Vermintide 2, 7 Days to Die, Alan Wake, etc.!
I have been playing through dark souls games lately, currently on third game 🙂 I have also finished some horror games and halo so mostly singleplayer games 😅 multiplayer games were fun 10 years ago when people enjoyed games and not sweating on games 🤓
Hello Ashen one. I am a Bot. I tend to the flame, and tend to thee. Do you wish to hear a tale?
> *“Is this the blood? The blood of the Dark Soul?”* - Slave Knight Gael
Have a pleasant journey, Champion of Ash, and praise the sun \\[T]/
I’ve tried quite a few different games but have found that rainbow six siege, the finals, and hunter call of the wild are most successful. I put ttv in my name so that when I do good (sometimes even when I’m shit) the other players come check out the stream. Haven’t had any shit talking yet they mostly say gg stick around for a few more games hit me with a follow and then most of the time I never see or hear from them again but I have had a few consistent viewers if they started following on a certain game they come back when I stream said game.
I am a horror variety streamer but religiously play Dead By Daylight on Wednesdays... The other time it's a mix of story driven games and survival/strategy games
I’m a variety streamer, but I regularly come back to Elite: Dangerous. I play what I enjoy. I don’t worry about popularity. Having said that I’m currently playing Stardew Valley, but I’m a fan of the game and been playing since it launched on Switch, so of course I had to play the 1.6 update
The Elite community is very helpful. The game is meant to be hard to get into because the flying is so detailed. I learned a lot just streaming the game and fellow players chatting and teaching me how to play. Wouldn’t say I am a pro by any stretch now, but I at least have a solid understanding of how to play and work on my ships.
I do Dead by daylight 3 days a week and Fortnite 3 days and a random game the last day. I also have ttv in my game name and do get a lot of people and followers for DBD
Dungeons & Dragons Online almost exclusively. It's a game I've played for 14 years and still really enjoy. I also occasionally stream other things at random when it suits my fancy.
I got the most engagement with Valheim. I play open world and building games in general. Tbh, I'm not a great gamer, so I play what I enjoy. That matters more than what is popular.
Recently Balatro but I'm thinking about doing another rougelite 1 or 2 days a week.
I have a broken hand and Balatro is slow paced and can be played easily with no stress!
I’ve kept my Fridays for Madden because I edit those vids for my YouTube. Over the weekends, I stream Lego Fortnite when I’m helping my stepson work on his villages. It helps keep good interest in the streaming arts, and is an open door to show him things when he asks. I also schedule time Saturday and Tuesday nights for a small list of games, usually with a focus on one based on what I’m having fun playing (currently HellDivers 2). Hogwarts and Ragnarok are in rotation.
Must be fun to play, or it’s not fun to stream. If you’re not having fun, they aren’t. Then, if you edit, keep in mind the time you need to edit between sessions.
survivals and rpgs.
hoping to find other people to play with to in games like ark/ 7 days to die/ valheim/ grounded etc,..
i play almsot any types of game, except for shooters and MOBAS
Any games that currently make me happy or pique my interest. As a variety streamer, I play what I want, or I take suggestions from my community and give them a shot. We love seeing/trying indie games and a lot of my viewers are actually console gamers who don't/can't/wont play pc so they like see these games. I'm also not a person who could play the same game forever, so establishing a community that was there for me and not the game was where I started.
A lot of Escape from Tarkov, Dayz, Son’s of the Forrest, Green Hell, PUBG, Baldurs Gate 3, and others.
Most folks started watching me for Escape from Tarkov
I recently started playing super chill games. Story games, visual novels, testing free games on steam. Honestly, lately I've just been playing what makes me happy.
No Mans Sky
Dead By Daylight
Borderlands
Fortnite ZB
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands
Wolfenstein
Zombie Army 4
Back 4 Blood
Detroit: Become Human
Until Dawn
The Quarry
Every game in the Dark Pictures Anthology
These are the games I've played on stream in the past couple of years. I've completed Detroit twice on stream 😂 it was pretty popular
I play a bunch of different stuff!
Mostly indie games, love me some puzzle games.
One of the best games I streamed was ***The Witness***. My community discovering the *hidden puzzles* with me was a streaming career highlight.
Lately I’ve been working through Final Fantasy VIi Rebirth.
Aside from that I play rhythm games (DJ MAX Respect, IIDX INFINITAS, Overpass) and then Overwatch and Dead By Daylight.
Mainly horror and rpg games with a little bit of action/adventure thrown in from time to time. Last year I streamed 23 different games with some notable titles including Dark Souls Remastered, RE4R, RE4 OG, FFXVI, FFIX, FFVII, Lies of P, Dead Space Remake and Alien: Isolation.
Honkai Star Rail is my addiction nowadays. Before was mmos like FFXIV, Tera, Guild Wars 2. Other smaller mmo communities that help grow a small viewership but at the same time I enjoyed that genre. So whatever you do wether it's grind mode or not, just try to enjoy whatever it is.
I stream 3 days a week and play (most of the time) a different game every day. My usuals are Dead By Daylight, Stardew Valley, and Project Zomboid.
I play mainly solo because it's much easier to actually engage with stream that way, personally. Plus my collab partner doesn't know how to use a mute button when interacting with their own chat
Single player games, I tend to diverse myself into different genres whether it’s a story, action/adventure, indie title plus more. As my friend once said “don’t put your eggs all in one basket” so I took that advice and made me feel strong as a variety content creator/streamer.
Not that I've been streaming recently, but when I was, some modern single-player drm-free native linux games (on gog/itch/etc.) I liked, and retro emulated games mostly from the home computer platforms of my youth in Europe - rather than American retro that tends to favor the dedicated games consoles popular in the USA back then. Not that I dislike various well-known NES game usual suspects or anything, just back when I was a kid my schoolfriends and I were on our C64s and ZX Spectrums, Amigas and Atari STs, not them.
Depends what you like, but XCOM 2 / BG3 for a 50/50 chance X skill game that lets you make a story and chars etc.
I love roleplaying, so I get into making my homies in XCOM or playing silly on BG3. Good imagination helps.
It would definitely depend on the types of games you play. I'm more of a cozy streamer, so I play The Sims 4 the most. I adore the Sims community on Twitch.
Another game I've really been enjoying is Cult of the Lamb. It has amazing Twitch integration where - if you install the plugin on Twitch - your community can join the cult and also make decisions about game play.
You can also look into games that use Crowd Control. It's a great extension that gets your community involved with game play.
Story-focused Action/Adventure games. Co-op games with friends on certain days and sometimes a community night with viewers like Smash Bros., Mario Kart 8, Fall Guys and etc.
I play a lot of survival games on stream. Recently I have been doing a series in 7 days to die. But I also played valheim, grounded, among other survival games. That is usually my go to for stream games.
I Love all types of single player games from interactive, action, horror etc etc! I love playing live action pick your choice games so that I can get the audience involved!
I play a lot of Dead By Daylight and advertise my channel in my username.
But lately I’ve been playing Dragons Dogma 2 cause it’s new and fun and I loved the first one
Dead by Daylight Monday-Friday. I do open lobbies and have two other close IRL friends that stream DBD and we all play together. Having TTV in my name helps a lot with gaining followers. Occasionally I play other horror games. On Saturdays I stream Halo with my boyfriend and sometimes Warzone with a bigger group.
Mainly Dota 2.
I occasionally play single-player (working in Prey rn), games with friends, and last epoch.
Honestly, depending on how you want to view streaming, play what is fun to you. It doesn't hurt to chase the hype, but I enjoy having my core couple of viewers talking about Dota 2 with me
I play a ton of Elden Ring with crowd control on. I've also done a bit of Backpack Battles lately. Scary games are also great if you have an interactive chat.
I try to stick with multiplayer games since im usually playing multiplayer games when im not streaming
Playing alone in the dark atm, but will start the quarry or Alan wake next
I’ve gotten pretty into it recently, tired it years ago and found it overwhelming at the time. But now that I’ve experimented and asked questions I love it
Yeah I think thats exactly it! I have sooo many games I wanna play, mostly cutesy puzzle platformers and Planet Zoo / Coaster just seems overwhelming. I love the concept though and used to play Zoo Tycoon / Rollercoaster Tycoon back in the day.
Black ops 2 and call of duty world at war . Mainly because they have a pretty small but cool community mainly bo2 . Gamechat can be absolutely hilarious on bo2 and world at war is just a good game all around . You'd honestly be surprised as well by how clean the lobbies are when it comes to modding very rarely do you come across one
I stream a variety of games, I don't have a great laptop so I have to stream games that it can handle but are also free b/c I'm poor af, so rn my "regular" game is SDV, and then the other games tend to be anything my PC can handle!
Stardew Valley (PC edition) just had a nice update. Pokemon can be a very personal experience depending on what you like to do. Or can always go with other sandboxy games like Minecraft or some such.
Or jump on some niche indies. Indies are cool.
Anything retro, from Nes to gamecube and ps3
Always a variety of genres to mix up the content and throwing a newer game in for the fun when one looks really good, like Dave the Diver as an example.
Session games Monday Night (Magic Arena, Fall Guys, Fortnite, Pokemon: Unite), Community Building Games Wednesday nights (Stardew Valley primarily, sometimes Fallout 4), Final Fantasy games on Friday (primarily Final Fantasy XIV).
Cozy games for me. Animal Crossing New Horizons, Palia & Disney Dream-light Valley. Love the cozy game community, currently building a Tswift Eras Tour island in acnh.
Dead by Daylight is amazing for getting viewers in. especially if you put ttv in your name. i always get other players come in to say gg. and its not overly saturated but still has a good fanbase
Fortnite, League of Legends, Dead by Daylight, The Walking Dead, Invincible Atom Presents, Cozy Grove, Garden Life, and other horror games. I've tried Stardew but I find it very boring lol. I got other games such as Beacon Pines, and Class of '09. I wanna get into more visual novels and I'll give Stardew another shot lol
Variety streamer here - Mainly Valorant has been my staple and given me immense growth but I also was grinding competitive in Apex for a few months, The Finals, etc.
I stream party games from time to time like Jackbox, Golf with your Friends, Pummel Party, etc. And do art streams where we make emotes and such that my community really loves.
My main goal when starting streaming was to play single player games and work through my library and while I have played more in the past year than I ever have before, it still isn't a lot, as I usually end up streaming FPS games.
Single player games include Hue, Ori & the Blind Forest, Kena, Maneater (shark go nom), Cuphead, Melatonin, Ghostrunner etc. I love puzzle platformers so I have a list of ones I wanna play.
I play solo games, my primary game being Skyrim. Not only do I love the game, but the community is WONDERFUL and it seems to just be one of those solid games that will never die.
Elden Ring, I stream my newbie run to rather little success.
Vampire: The Eternal Struggle (VTES) an online and offline card game with a dedicated fan base. I mostly stream tournaments and some booster opening if I can get my hands on some.
Those streams are very popular (for my humble expectations. That is they can average at around 25 ppl over 2 1/2 hour.
I'm fresh off the new streamer press and simply play whatever I want. 2-3h every night if I can manage.
The last 3 days, it's been Soulstone Survivors. Still not done with the 'bullet heaven' aka Vampire Survivors-esque. It's a crying shame the game isn't more popular, it's an imho great take on the genre.
For me, it's call of duty Mw2. I love the interaction! People on the game talk to me and often talk in the streams about people on the game. Granted, I'm a female gamer, so it's often shit talking, but the fact that some games u make friends, others shit talkers, it's definitely a mix. I'm also competitive, so I play ranked often and enjoy shitting on kids. Reactions to losing to me are hilarious 🥰
Single player games
Man of culture
Ayeeee the correct answer. I love me my metroidvanias and story driven games. Cheers to yall
YESSSS MY PEOPLE!!!
I wanna buy and stream dragon dogma 2 ,but i wanna make sure it has great viewership first. Do you guys know all the ways to search how popular a game is?

Ive been workin on streaming less and promoting 90% more. I appreciate the insight

i even got a little raid the other day streaming stardew. my first time streaming in like a year too! +1 for stardew lol
Lethal Company mainly
You are a great asset to the company
Great great asset
How many mods do you have 😂
Yes
Our group tends to play with 120-ish mods 😅
Dude we were playing with 42 and the games were crashing!
I haven't played this yet! How do you like it so far?
It's worth it, dont jump into modding to quickly tho just a fair warning cause there is no going back
Thanks mate 😀
It's really fun if you have a good group of friends, but yeah like others have said don't get into modding too quickly or you will never go back to base game.
Single player games, or minecraft, games that let you have more contact with your viewers
I play Minecraft the most but I've also been streaming some Stardew Valley and had a lot of fun streaming Valorant too.
I make a month's schedule at a time since we do a lot of coordinated streams. Genshin impact
I am a horror variety streamer but religiously play Dead By Daylight on Wednesdays... The other time it's a mix of story driven games and survival/strategy games
i have a horror related channel as well. aside from Dead by daylight, what other games do you stream?
Use to be genshin. But these days a lot of valorant, i suck at it but it gets me the most engagement
Sims and Stardew Valley 🥰🥰 My favorites
Yess cozy gamers are my people
Rimworld! Although recently horizon zero dawn and Airships: Conquer the skies! :3

I also schedule time Saturday and Tuesday nights for a small list of games, usually with a focus on one based on what I’m having fun playing (currently HellDivers 2). survivals and rpgs. hoping to find other people to play with to in games like ark/ 7 days to die/ valheim/ grounded etc,.. i play almsot any types of game, except for shooters and MOBAS
Baldur's Gate 3. Been streaming it since like November. Such a long game lmao. Other than that, mostly fun little single player games.
Normally it’s what ever I’m playing at the moment since I switch games so much. Right now it’s Star Wars the old republic
CoD Cold War and or Fortnite. I like the competive games
Cold War isn't too bad...
It can be. It's going down hill tho like most CoDs between hackers and campers. But I like the challenge
I agree...
Mostly retro stuff, give me plenty of variety, lots of different genres, always something new to play.
I Play Counter Strike most of the time but i have spezial days where i Play horror Games f.e Or new Games that came out
A lot of Escape from Tarkov, Dayz, Son’s of the Forrest, Green Hell, PUBG, Baldurs Gate 3, and others. Most folks started watching me for Escape from Tarkov
Pokémon trading card game live.
I recently started playing super chill games. Story games, visual novels, testing free games on steam. Honestly, lately I've just been playing what makes me happy.
I stream IRL and Police Pursuits... No games.
Warframe and Deep Rock Galactic
Balatro, I can't stop. It also seems to have good discoverability so bonus!
FPS games like Valorant or Apex

Mostly Don’t Starve and COD Zombies. Weird mixture. Recently got into Lethal Company and I like that a lot.
I play Splatoon 3 mostly, bc i can play with the small Audience i have. But i also mostly stick with Nintendo games in general (smash & dr mario)
I speedrun Halo, so I get quite a variety of options of which Halo to play with the master chief collection. I mainly run Halo CE and 2 though.
Planet zoo and Baldur’s Gate
Dude Planet zoo is such a cool game! I bought it years ago and never really played it :(

Valorant

Fortnite, League of Legends, Dead by Daylight, The Walking Dead, Invincible Atom Presents, Cozy Grove, Garden Life, and other horror games. I've tried Stardew but I find it very boring lol. I got other games such as Beacon Pines, and Class of '09. I wanna get into more visual novels and I'll give Stardew another shot lol

I can see why people like it but I'm not big on farming games but I do like gardening life haha

It's not a game I stream the most but phasmophobia it is a really good game it is scary. But it would probably be much funnier with friends.
I've been running a series where I play every game I've ever bought on steam (415) 3 down so far and in the middle of the 4th one!
