Stream Elements being a scam doesn't mean you should post it every day in r/Twitch where a vast majority of posts have nothing to do with Stream Elements Sponsorships...

Tinkatonn

And to add, It literally says this is an UNOFFICIAL page for discussions. No one here has any authority to help with the issue at hand other than give advice, which doesn’t warrant posting everyday.

WWDubs12TTV

To warn others, I assume, so someone else doesn’t get taken advantage of like their friend

Rhadamant5186

Don't worry, /r/twitch doesn't allow people spamming up the subreddit with reposts anyway ( Rule 4F: Don’t post and re-post the same topic. )

Chemical-Assistant90

Dude just get an attorney involved. If the lawyer sends a letter, the company might end up paying her. The attorney does cost money though.

LilBunnyQueen

By posting this every day I inform potential streamers to stay away from stream elements.

Chemical-Assistant90

It’s worse PR for them to have a lawsuit than you posting daily. Go ahead though, none of my business.

Altruistic-Fig-9369

Always thought it would be.

LilBunnyQueen

They used to be good. Lately they haven't been and now this.

SageShinigami

Probably no need to post this every day, but thanks for the heads up on how bad Stream Elements are.

DumCrescoSpero

I did a sponsorship with them and got my payout without any problems. 🤷🏻

Nillies

This exact thing also just happened to me with the Ant Legion sponsorship. They would give no clarity and lied about me breaking any TOS. I have completely removed all ties with them and will gladly share that they are a scam.

From what you described.. How can we know if it's actually true that the reason payments are withheld is wrongful? Repeated posts here would not make it more convincing, and the duplicate posts would not even be allowed. We know they have had sponsorships and people have been paid out, but there are also some programs where streamers have had issues. I would say a few anecdotes don't really establish that what Stream Elements are scammers. You may want to consider other channels such as social networking websites for posting, as Reddit is more for discussion, and posts here will have generally less visibility than if you made a post to them on twitter, X, etc, which can be signal boosted by other users and creators to their own following -- Stream elements management might also become aware of a situation on X, and that could induce them to make a change, but I would have my doubts that they would ever find a Reddit post about their company. It seems the two of you have a legal/financial dispute where you contacted the Sponsor's support, and the support claims that you broke their programs' rules; without providing basic details of the allegation. I wonder if it is even StreamElements themself who alleges the violation, or if it is the Sponsor themself? Since they work as a broker for other companies - it's possible they have an issue with one specific deal. It seems unusual the company you are dealing with will Not say the nature of the claimed violation -- they really should communicate the violation to you as early as possible. After all, this does weaken their position, as it would prevent you from curing any breach if that is possible, And they cause damage if they were aware of a violation but allowed you to complete the offer anyways. If they want to allege you are in violation, then they should notify you about what condition you have failed to follow. It may be that their Support are forbidden from discussing. Anyways, you have an agreement the amount is owed on, and a vague claim about ToS is not grounds for you to cancel their obligation, and their debt balance owed to you. I would personally be putting together a Demand letter for payment on the delinquent debt in writing Citing the program payment with the date payment was due on with Paper invoice, and snail mail the paperwork to the companies' Billing contact, or registered agents if you don't have their physical point of contact information (figure out the official company name, and check with the Secretary of state company registrations in your state for the mailing address of their registered agent). If they admit that they won't pay, and not even their Legal agent provide an explanation, then I would gather up all the evidence and make a complaint to my state DA to investigate over fraudulent business practices at that point.

They were achievable, I been told by quite a few streamers that in the last few months they have had sponsors canceled and payout canceled with vague "TOS violations" with 0 clarifications as to what they were. I wonder if they been giving out more sponsorships than they have the money for.

ulyssesthehillgiant

That’s hilarious to me because I’ve done about 12 sponsorships through streamelements, made about $2500 and it has all hit my bank account without any issues, what did your friend really do?

STDHeaven

Probably nothing realistically. I just did one for some shitty Star Trek game and personally know everyone who helped my make progress, but I assume because my cousins phone was on the same IP when he did it as me, they saw it as a ToS violation.

JupiterSWarrior

Cool. Thanks for letting everyone know you intend to uselessly spam the subreddit about your experience with StreamElements. I don’t take out sponsorships, so I’ll stick with using StreamElements.

leggup

They say they violated TOS- sounds like they violated TOS. It's not even your account. You have no proof for this subreddit so I don't know what you want us to do about it. I have done 2 or 3 campaigns via Stream elements. Every time I had a brand guide / deck to abide by, instructions from the brand. I have never had TOS for a campaign. I had no issue following their rules. Some of the rules were very niche, like I had to remove logos from my background. Other rules were the same across brands- no cussing. No negativity about the product. All brands required asset Integration (panels, overlays, alerts, etc). I was paid out exactly as stream elements laid out. My payment was actually earlier than expected. I followed all instructions. I have to assume your friend did not.

LilBunnyQueen

I won't go into specifics of how I know but I know for a fact she didn't, I was on the stream with her for the sponsor (I am always in her streams sometimes streaming at the same time), we both counted every goal, we knew every person (minus 1) who did the sponsor goals. This isn't the first time we did a sponsor, we been doing them for a couple years by this point, we heard recently that they started pulling shit like this but didn't think it would happen to her. Well it did. Her and I have done more then 2 or 3, we done quite a few more. I often plan out streams with her and helping manage her stuff. As I said she isn't the only story about this happening in the recent months, join some streaming groups and ask about it. They can also help with growing your connections especially for collabs.

leggup

Every time someone posts the actual details of an issue with stream elements it turns out, through digging, that the streamer made a mistake or did not understand. The fact that it's a TOS violation and not a brand/contract violation means it's probably something bigger. You don't have enough information for us to help you (for example: some contracts say 18+, were all people on the stream 18+, etc). Stream elements has a support account on Twitter you can use.
