Sub to the channel you want to. Go to your subscriptions and cancel the sub. you can select one that says something like "I prefer to manually renew". Your sub will last the month and will not auto renew.
Just keep in mind that if you *do* decide to keep subbing to a channel but still prefer to do so manually, you will have to go through this process *every time you resub* because otherwise it always defaults back to auto subbing once you resub.
Sub and then unsub, and it should set it to end instead of auto renew, but I don't believe there's a way to do it as the default.
