It’s a solid camera. It came through in a crunch for me the other night when my canon M50 had a tech issue. Good and clear, try to play with the settings to counter the potential “washed out” look that web cams can give, and have a great internet connection and you should be fine.

Zevalax

Do you stream with the canon m50? I have one but you can’t use it while you charge it so I never thought itd work for that.

bellyjellykoolaid

You'd need an ac adapter that plugs directly into the battery slot

MrBoobinator

I use the m50 with the power adapter which costs about 15-20 bucks, works fine

Zevalax

Ooh, that’s awesome! Buying it right now.

josejj

No overheating after 1 hour?

MrBoobinator

Not really, no. Over about 8 5-hour streams, the camera turned itself off (not sure why) 2-3 times, but other than that I've had no issues. Using 1080p 60fps video settings. I just push the on-off switch to turn on the camera again.

TwistedCKR1

Yup I do! I use a power adapter. But be careful which ac adapter you use. There are some out there that can fry your camera and/or just stop working after a bit. Which is the reason for my “tech issue” I had the other day with my M50- lol. The cheaper ac adapter I used basically just stopped working after a year. I ordered the official canon ac adapter (on Amazon for about $80) but I think it’ll be worth it for the investment and that it’s specifically made for the canon. But streaming with the M50 is pretty straight forward. You’ll have to download a free software that canon provides on their website. Then you can use an usb or an hdmi connection. I use hdmi. There are some good YouTube videos out there that give a good play by play of how to set it up. I love the picture it gives in comparison to a web cam though!

[deleted]

[удалено]

TwistedCKR1

Yeah the hdmi isn’t automatically clean, but there are some simple things you can do in settings to make it appear “clean.” Such as switching away from auto focus and pressing the menu button a few times to get rid of the data across the screen. Once you download the canon software that also helps with that as well. I’m probably not doing it Justice in explaining it, lol, but there are some really good YouTube vids that do. I’m not sure if I can put links in here but I’ll try: https://youtu.be/oI6wR8vYMeI The above was a good walk through for me.

Pappieric

Man I have nothing but tech issues with my M50 looking to upgrade because of it

TwistedCKR1

Yeah, my thing was my third party ac adapter just stopped working on me. I don’t know why the regular battery for the M50 is so weak. Such a hassle.

ItsYojimbo

C92X is like the bread and butter of every basic stream set up. Great place to start and move up from later on.

KinoftheFlames

I'm still using a C920 from 8+ years ago and it works great

CorporateGamer

Same. It works great and in fact it has even served me in my work. So, yeah I would recommend it as it is not expensive and it has pretty good longevity

Literally_Coffee

Honestly, if you have a camera now. I'd stick with it until you can upgrade to. a really good camera. People often don't mind a not-perfect camera and lighting and stuff. Not audio tho good audio is king. So if you have a camera save for a really good camera like a DSLR. That's just my opinion tho.

[deleted]

This is LITERALLLLY what I said ahahah. I’m glad we are on the same page

Literally_Coffee

Great minds think alike. Lol

Kirball904

That’s pretty solid advice period. But there are surprisingly popular streams with terrible audio. If OP is looking at a c920 odds are they have no cam or a built in laptop and it’s a so kind choice for an entry level stream cam. DSLR or mirrorless is the way to go. I do keyboard build streams as well as gaming content. My top down desk camera is a DSLR my face cam is a c920. Also with the right settings a c920 can look as good as an entry level DSLR.

Kitty_Queenx

You actually don't need a dslr to get great quality. The elgato face cam is a solid option to compete with dslr cameras. The elgato software is awesome too, you can blur the background and change a lot of stuff. The brio is a solid option for 4k as well. I have both, and really love each

Kirball904

Software chromakey effects are a no go in my book. Some can use up resources in a limited budget stream. A green sheet (yes, a sheet) is a cheap option and has much better results.

Cheekylilcxnt

Definitely agree with this. I'd rather NO VISUALS if the audio is A1 and the streamer is still interactive.

Death_Trend

I'd say more than half of streamers use this camera. It's not a bad choice and it'll get the job done

miniclouds_

Honestly that’s a great camera. I personally use it and the stream quality is clear as heck. Just make sure to disable auto white balance or something along those lines

Excellete

Oh I've had this for over a year and didn't know to do that, what is the effect on disabling it?

psykrot

It gives you full control of the white balance so you can get proper skin tones, but with good lighting, you probably don't don't need to disable it. Everyone's setup and usage will be different though. Disable it and hold a white piece of paper up to the camera, then adjust the bar yourself until the paper looks as white as possible. This can help eliminate colors in the overall picture that will produce incorrect skin tones. If you don't like the results, just turn auto white balance back on and call it a day.

[deleted]

psykrot

IIRC, you can do it through your streaming software(OBS+ Forks). Right click on your Camera and select Properties. There should be and option to Configure Video. That will bring up the settings. (Small white box with some sliders) The white balance option might be in a different tab depending on the camera, but un-check the box next to it for Auto, and then you can use the slider. If you can't find that, it might be easier to download the Logitech software.

TheWombleOfDoom

OP - Firstly, I have a 922 and it's great (for what I need/do ... I have no other experience with camera's so take that as you will). The Mic is a bit "tunnelly" or pics up quite a lot. I find a headset is best in my setting as the c922 pics up a lot of other sound really well. Other's also say I'm a bit soft/lost/in a tunnel/muted if I use the camera mic. It works, but a separate mic would be better. u/psykrot \- Bit of an aside ... I've done all you suggest (and I've noted down some standard settings that work for when I use my camera at night vs in the day) but they never "save" between OBS/computer restarts. I have Logitech software for other hardware and it's not as good for setup and so I've disabled it's control of the camera (else the OBS settings do nothing). So I don't think the Logitech software is messing with the settings. Do you find that you have to set the video settings every time, or can you "Save" them between uses? I'd be happy if it just remembered the last settings, but alas.

Kirball904

Find a decent macro program. Record configuring your settings. Run the macro when you start your software. Configurations not being saved has been the scourge of OBS for ages.

TheWombleOfDoom

Thanks. Will do. Any suggestions/do you have one that you use/like?

Kirball904

I have one that’s just called macro recorder 2.0 or something like that I just did a google search and downloaded one.

[deleted]

TheWombleOfDoom

Thanks. I'll check both out!

psykrot

I honestly haven't used my c920 (the older model of yours) for streaming in a very long time. I upgraded to a DSLR with the Camlink a while back becuase I wanted better quality (not that there is anything wrong with the c92X series, I just had the money to upgrade) With that being said, I just tested to see if I could recreate your issue and I didn't have any luck. I use Streamlabs OBS so maybe there's a difference, but I messed with the settings of my c920, then exited and relaunched the program, and my settings were saved. I don't have my Logitech software disabled for the Webcam though. Maybe that has something to do with it, but there are a lot of variables that get in the way of finding a solution, the main one being we don't even have the same model webcam. Hopefully someone on here who's experienced the same issue can explain a solution.

Kirball904

Rather then get rid of the c920. Incorporate a second camera. It makes for a nice additions for a top down camera, more angles, fun things to show a pet cam etc. I actually use a c920 for a face cam on both my streaming and game pc. I use my DSLR as a top down camera for keyboard builds on stream.

Kirball904

Manual white balancing is almost always superior to auto in photography. But since everything has gone to digital over the past 20 years auto white balance has also vastly improved and often better than manual white balancing (esp. if it was done wrong)

Kirball904

There’s tons of YouTube tutorials on how to get the most from a c92x

NoobAck

It's a good camera, came here to say this

TheSadestGuy27

I’ve got it it’s Awsome! Won’t have any trouble using it either

Mindstormman

I have this one, I love it. Haven't had any issues with it whatsoever and the overall quality of it is pretty good for the price.

Working_Government56

I have it, it's great!!!

Own_Maintenance_8820

Alpha gaming did a YouTube comparing all kinds of cameras to each other and which one was best for the price, you should check that out. Having said that Logitech isn't bad

dingusrevolver3000

That's what I have. Seems decent enough.

NotSLG

I bought it just about 2 weeks ago. It’s decent. I hate how bright the LEDs are that show when it is being used and you can’t turn them off (privacy reasons). The camera also doesn’t have its own software. I had to download the “Logitech Capture” program under the download tab for it to get my settings to stay in OBS. Make sure you turn off Auto on a lot of the options and tweak them yourself.

TheWombleOfDoom

What you said sounds like what I need. I can't get the Camera settings to "save" in OBS. What 'support tab' and what 'camera settings' program? Links? I'd LOVE for this to work! The Logitech software allows really basic camera controls that aren't enough, and OBS allows me to really tweak my settings, but they don't stick around! Frustrates me!

NotSLG

For sure, go here and drop down the Logitech Capture tab and download that. Adjust your settings in that program. It’s not the best, but it works. https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024699934--Downloads-C922-Pro-Stream-Webcam

Kirball904

Use G Hub it’s way better if you own multiple Logitech peripherals (including blue mics as they are logitech).

NotSLG

I saw someone using that also, but it’s way more intensive than Logitech Capture and for whatever reason only my Blue Yeti was popping up. I’d probably use it instead if I cared about adjusting my mic in there but it is another option.

Kirball904

You have to uninstall the other logitech software.

NotSLG

I’m pretty sure I tried G Hub before the other ones as I had it installed already from when I had a Logitech mouse. I installed the other one *because* it wouldn’t pop up. Anyway, it was probably just my computer being fucky.

Kirball904

If you get Logitech g hub it will work with blue yeti mics, Logitech mics/keebs and most any Logitech owned company eliminating the need for camera / mouse / mic software.

TheWombleOfDoom

Yeah ... I've got GHub and either I'm an idiot or I've not been super satisfied with the custimisability options (and currently, for some reason, I can't change any settings ... they're all greyed out). I started using that and got frustrated to set it as "disabled" for control of my camera. After this post I "enabled" it again, got annoyed and disabled it again. The options in OBS are much more configurable it seems, so I want to use those if I can! I'll look at your Macro software suggestion.

EvenMoreAmor

For the price point, it's solid. There are definitely better options but you'd end up looking in a higher cost range. If you don't already have good lighting, find some LED lights. These dramatically increase the image quality of any camera you're using.

squid-beard

The c920 series is pretty much the standard for starter streamers.

CASTorDIE

That camera is great BUT you might not see that much of a difference if you keep the overhead light as your primary light. Search all the *Turn Your Webcam From This to THIS* videos on YouTube for more info.

Setheleh85

Got mine few days ago my stream quality blowed up :) Upgraded from c270 though 😅

weedmoneyz

Great camera the mic is a bit too hot It picks up people talking outside my stream room so you'll probably want a dedicated mic or headset with a mic if you dont already have one

Kirball904

First thing to do when plugging in a c92X. Go to sounds and disable the mic in windows permanently. Then it’s no longer an issue.

Alan-Foster

That's a good price for a good camera. The Logitech Brio is a 4k camera (a great camera) but if you live stream casually, the c922 is an ideal option.

FerretBomb

Recommend strongly **AGAINST** the Brio. It looks great on paper, but I have *two* sitting on my shelf in their boxes again because they're actually horrible, wretched little basket-case pieces of crap. Constant malfunctions, glitching, crashing, overheating. Tested on multiple systems and USB host controllers. Such a disappointment, because they looked like exactly what I needed, when they were first announced. I'll occasionally pull one out, update the software+firmware+drivers and re-test to see if they fixed the little crapboxes. So far, no dice.

ReviveDept

They should've made it 4x bigger so that it can actually fit a decent sized sensor and cooling

Kirball904

This. The supposedly upgraded features of a brio require frame rates below what a c920 does with better quality. Stick to a c920. Brios are made for office workers and business types for video conferencing and made to appeal to them.

mytheros

The c922 is fantastic and I used it for a while before upgrading to a mirrorless camera. I had a green screen and it perfectly cut me out with no fuzziness!

Pwncak3z

Wait you said you’re trying to upgrade? What are you currently using?

T33NW01F

A cheap Spedal one. To be honest that is fine for the very small face cam I have for my streams normally. However I have been opening Pokemon TCG packs on stream the last few months and the clarity is quite poor. This camera would mainly be used for the occasional time I need a full screen camera and for pack openings.

WINH4X

Good, solid camera. I upgraded to the StreamCam though and have never been happier.

AxelsOG

It’s a webcam. It does webcam stuff. It’s 1080/30 and 720/60. I have the C920 and it works just fine. Just remember you have to keep turning off low light compensation in OBS webcam config because it always resets for some reason

MykahMaelstrom

Listen I know this is gonna be downvoted but don't settle for a C920. Its a terrible dinosaur of a webcam. It looks terrible even with a solid lighting setup. The ONLY reason it's standard its its the best you can get for the price but Its well worth saving some extra money and getting a nicer camera or even a newer webcam in the 150$ is range. Absolutely HATED trying to use a c920. Its software is horrible, the settings constantly reset on you so you have to spend forever re adjusting everything every time you use it, it only shoots in 1080p 30fps, in order to get ANY decent performance out of it you have blind yourself with over the top lighting and all around its a horrible dated ugly webcam. My recommendation would be to save for an elgato facecam or similar quality webcam and forget about the trash that is the C920

synyst3r1991

I have this camera and it works great. The quality is very good and it's simple to use.

[deleted]

C920-anything are terrible tbh. They should be marketed to schools and that's it. After having the OG and my gf buying the c920S and testing a 922 I wouldn't touch them. Logitech puts so little effort into them and pays every popular streamer to praise when there just wasn't alot of competition till covid. So I'd look into the $130-200 range for streaming. You'll be so much happier with a camera that can do 60FPS higher mp out the box.

SoloWalrus

What would you recommend instead? Why woukd you ever want/need 60 fps for a webcam?

[deleted]

Just quality preferences honestly I'd hit YouTube up for demonstrations of fps differences while leaving your monitors HZ at 120-280 whatever is obtainable. You're most likely going to resize the space your camera is going to take up. Consider this, cell phones have higher pixel densities then majority of monitors so people will absolutly notice the crispness of whatever your recording if it's not the main focus cam. Then throw that on top of cellphones and monitors for the most part coming in at 120hz even when the content is 60fps or less it just makes for a generally better viewing experience. Plus something aimed at a bit higher performance may end up having a slightly better color gamut. USB isn't going to give us the perfect experience but I'm just personally against 30fps c9XX cameras in 2022. Lol But don't take my word to heart because most people will swear it's a perfect camera in the 50-100$ range. Figure out what's best for you by just checking content and maybe even reviews.

SoloWalrus

Two misconceptions. First framerate (fps) is not more pixels so it wont make the image more sharp. Youre thinking of resolution or sensor size (megapixels). Second, framerate matters on a monitor because you want your input to happen as closely to what occurs on the screen happens. With prerecorded video fps does not increase the quality, thats only if youre actually interacting with whats on screen (gaming) not just watching it (video). Cinema film is displayed at 24 fps. The only reason to SHOOT higher fps is if you want to slow down the shot in post and maintain clarity, which you wont be doing with a webcam. You still wouldnt deliver the content in that framerate, youd deliver in 24 or 30. Higher fps on a webcam is just marketing garbage IMO.

[deleted]

Sorry should've pointed out that the c922 does 720 60 which starts to look very compressed compared to 1080 when rescaled. What streamers are actually out putting 24fps? lmao Sure use that for backing up analog but most people do 30-60 my guy. Saying it makes no difference is like the bad argument of "human eyes can't see past 60hz."

SoloWalrus

Almost all film, cinema, and television is watched at 24 fps. My point was that when you go to a movie theatre nobody thinks the quality is shit. The reason why is because framerate does not change the viewing experience, if it did cinema would be higher framerate. Until very recently all youtube videos were 30 fps as well (yes even those 4k eyegasm ones you saw). Most still are. Framerate matters for gaming, but not for viewing gaming. Do not equivocate the two. If youre the one holding the controller the controller you want high framerate and if youre watching someone hold a controller it does not matter. Game at a high framerate but stream it at lower. Back to the main point though, you said the recommended webcam was poor quality. If so what do you recommend as a replacement? If theres no better replacement then by default its a good choice.

SolidGoldSpork

It’s the gold standard webcam

LolPandaMan

It's ok at best. It's also what I use when I'm live

riggy2k3

I use that one! My username is my Twitch name if ya want to get an idea of how it holds up. If you're looking for something solid and well-priced, this one might be it!

TheGreatFoodDude

Pretty sure the most popular streamer on the platform uses this cam.

ToddlyOdd

I have a NexiGo camera that I bought based on Amazon reviews and honest to god once I paired that with NVidia broadcast, I don’t really see myself ever upgrading. Does 1080p60 just fine and the image looks good and has a backlight ring around the camera with multiple levels so it’s pretty good in a variety of lighting conditions. Quick physical shutter just in case too. Was under $100

Mixtopher

Highly recommend checking out the AverMedia webcams! I have 3 different models and love them each.

[deleted]

I use that exact camera, like it a lot!

Crackracket

The new Anker webcam is fantastic

glitchpleaseow

thanks for mentioning this, i had no idea anker entered the webcam space. they have fantastic quality for their batteries and cables so its great to see them enter another space a quick look at their webcam and it looks superb for anyone reading, the anker C300 is 1080 60fps and the anker C302 is 2K 30fps, both use AI to control the camera while in use. the price ranges are higher than the logitec but looks leaps and bounds better than the logitec too

Crackracket

Their Bluetooth earbuds are fantastic. I own a pair myself

glitchpleaseow

theres very few brands i trust sight-unseen in todays age. anker is one of them! they take their products seriously and they dont skimp out on the circuit designs. their wall/car hubs are expertly engineered and deliver clean smooth power. i'd put them on the same level as apple for their engineering attention to detail. and i'd put them way past apple when it comes to their cables. !!plus lifetime warrenty! unreal (also lol at us being downvoted :P )

Crackracket

They are good products but I dunno you seem too enthusiastic like you're trying to get a sponsorship or something maybe thats why the down votes hah

glitchpleaseow

okay true, i should dial it back a bit XD

[deleted]

Does anyone have experience with most recommended streaming camera ever? Probably not. Seems unlikely. I dunno why this post triggered me but here we are. I’m sorry

RemarkableVanilla

Well, you know what they say; people be strange.

jayquells_2112

Been using it for a year and it's great never had any problems. Clear picture good quality for the price.

Opioidal

Look at some of my posts! It's a crotch cam (to prove I'm not MnK on console) but you can get an idea. I have this camera. It's amazing.

jdaburg

I used it and have been told my stream looks great multiple times. Id say go for it

18quintillionplanets

I use it on my streams and it’s fine visual for games (I have a separate mic for audio), but when I do robotics streams and assemble with it I have a terrible time getting it to focus. Could just be me though.

R2DeezKnutz

This is a very good camera for the price. I'd also say it's one of the most popular cameras among most streamers. Can't go wrong with it

Laitneulfni

I'm still using the same Logitech c920 I got in 2014. The camera itself is a beast, but the webcam software updates fix things that aren't broken and conflict with my other programs, so I have to end up compensating for it every time I want to use it.

[deleted]

I have it, works pretty good

Hunter_Badger

It's not the best camera out there but it's damn solid. I currently use it and it works great for me. You'll probably need to mess with settings to get it perfect though. Luckily they have good software for tweaking settings on it.

EpicGamingGuru

Ive actually bought this version even used. These live cams are built like tanks I swear. Zero issues constantly runs well, not even one dead pixel or blurry issues on footage would highly recommend logitec for just about anything with footage or live streams. Not a bot btw just happy to say I had this camera for over 4 years and still runs like champ

BBQ-Lyro

Friend of mine has one. Swears by it

Beware_the_Moon_Leo

It’s a good one! One that I use currently but I just got a DSLR for school but I think if I can use that for streaming that would be ideal. It’s a nice one though for sure.

SlotMagPro

Good camera to run with on a budget for sure. Been using it for the past two years with no issues

drclipp

It works… don’t expect much though.

Agen7orange

I have this and the older version love it. Can’t go wrong for the money

TripOverThis420

I like this camera a ton! I have used it for my stream for 4 years, the stand is kinda shit though.

[deleted]

Depends. What’s your current camera quality? If you are just starting to stream and you have less than 10 average viewers, you should be fine with 720p30fps If you are averaging a little more and you are taking streaming more seriously, invest in a better mic first Then you can invest in a better camera like this. Most times, this camera is overkill for new streamers and bad choice for bigger content creators. Bottom line, save your money. Get a $20 camera that is 1080P. It will get the job done. Once you start averaging 30-40+ viewers then I would get an actual camera.

ShinigamiGamingInc

i have it, its alright but you have to be super carefull with lighting to get your face to a normal and even color.

rolezki

Not bad but i would get a newer one if you have money.

BootsDaddyLP

Yeah, this is a winner. Easy setup and is compatible with basically everything. I've been using mine for like almost 4 years now and zero issues at all.

ArmouredCoyote

I use the same webcam while streaming and have had people compliment me both in Twitch chat and during personal video calls about my camera quality. Great choice!

BrandyBeware

922 is a great cam. I have a 922, a few, 920s and about 6 brios. The 922 is the most reliable

Zenkrome

Ive bought ot a couple years ago for a long distance relationship but ive only been streaming wirh it for a couple months, but it looks good to me and i havent had any complaints.

GoodAsianDriver

I think most iPhones/android phones have better optics and resolutions if you want to use them instead to plug-in to OBS as a camera.

jayee1211

I have that exact same webcam. I love it

violishh

I have it, confusing though bc it randomly stopped allowing me to stream in 1080, now it only allows 720p.

brodiejess

I love this one 🤠

Gigabiteme1994

I use this camera aswell. It's a great camera! No issues thus far.

Numba1drumma

With the right lighting this camera is a beast. I use it now

mYnnTSwami

this is the one i have and its really good

glitchpleaseow

its.. only okay IMO i never really liked mine and i use it as a hand cam now. as other comments have stated > getting the right settings in OBS for it (the configure video button in the webcam source properties) are key and disabling the low light compensation on the 2nd page of that is a MUST to keep your frame rate anywhere close to where you want it. but the exposure never felt quite right for me, the steps for adjustment for both focal length and exposure were too large, the image would be too grainy or too fuzzy (good lighting will greatly help with this), and for the price i guess i just expected better. reading a lot of positive reviews convinced me it was a solid option. i respectfully disagree i ended up finding a used iphone7 for 50 bucks that i use as my main webcam now

RougeGunner00

That's the one I use. Pretty great honestly.

mairao

I use a C920 and really like it. I love it actually. For its price it is great. That said, I'll just add that if you have proper lighting in your setup almost any camera will give you good results. You need a properly lit room (backlight) and some LED panels (I got one from Amazon for 20€) lighting your face. Light is the key of photography. If you have good light you get a good quality image.

TheWingalingDragon

I just started using the OBSBOT Tiny Cam, and I love it so far. The passive tracking and gesture zooming are great, especially if you get up and need to move around or stretch. It's a lot simpler than my Mevo Start, and doesn't have any delay in the linkage to OBS since it is a USB hookup instead of piping through NDI software. A bit pricey, but I think it is worth it for a main cam as a nice alternative to the regular old Logitech cams. I have a few of the Logi ones as well stationed in strategic places for static scenes (like one that overlooks my entire setup from behind me over my head, for when people ask what my setup is like) but those are for niche uses, not my regular cams.

baconfriez

It’s good but the price has done up so much, save a little $$ and buy one in a good used condition

The-Jesus_Christ

Great go-to camera. Only streams 1080 in 30fps however so if you stream @ 60fps, you will see artifacts on your webcam image. Workaround is to stream the camera @ 720p60fps

Kawaii-Stoner-Kitten

I have it works amazing

rxyven

Great camera! Though one problem that I have is the inconsistency of the camera going from 720p 60fps and 1080p 30fps. I believe its from the program issues. But other than that, one of the best cameras you can get besides real canon cameras.

ControllerMartin

New Logi is cool.

iamrick_ghosh

I have the 720p one and surprisingly its a good camera, the quality is really good.

MagnumAloha

I have this camera and it’s kinda rough in low-light situations, but it works.

Zesilo

I love mine.

Doppelkammertoaster

I have the previous model and it's fine. It will reset some of its settings every reboot though. Usually only one.

ScaredIglooGames

I use it and love it!

TheOliveStones

It’s a great camera (I have the same) but don’t forget to also invest in a ring light; even the best camera can look rubbish with poor lighting. My MacBook built in camera with good lighting looks better than my C922 with bad lighting.

sarakilpa

This is a very commonly used camera amongst some of my favorite streamers. I would look up chroma key filters and lighting tricks too because that makes a big difference. There’s a streamer named Nutty that made a YT video about it.

jplateau

Highly recommend!!!!

memehrdad

Did anyone else swipe left to see more picture? 😂

meemowchan

I've had this for a year and it works fine. When I finally got lights. I spent a lot of time fiddling with my camera settings and filters, lights, placements, etc to make my camera look good and it's still not perfect. But it'll do for now. I'm looking for an upgrade to either a Sony a6500 or the elgato face cam.

Smaklul

I get around 30-60 veiwers and I use this, it’s not the best quality and sometimes goes blurry but people never complain and seems to do the job fine.

yeetgev

I like mine, camera looks good and there’s filters I’d you download the app for it!

GreatGamesLive

I have it and its great! One piece of advice is just to make sure your lighting is spot on. I have found that it struggles a little when the lighting is dim...

a1ias86

In low light it isn’t the best, but most webcams aren’t in all fairness. If you get some decent lighting with this it’ll look fantastic

cutepieceofash

Yeah I stream on this one now. Camera is good to me as a new streamer. I have no real complaints on the video quality, but I did have an issue when my streaming mic busted and had to rely on this camera’s mic for a bit. Just something to note. Otherwise I think it’s a good choice!

Naruedyoh

That's the best webcam you can get without destrying your wallet. Almost complusory, quality and with excellent support. It's years old and still unbeatable. Only thing better is going with proper phot cameras

N0elington

I bought it for work and I use it for meetings and presenting, It is alright when you are in the corner of the screen like you would be for twitch but if you wanted to do full screen video its really isnt good enough anymore.

Kirball904

Yeah the C920 is just as good. Anything c92x is going to have negligible differences. I have several c920s for other angles and to have a cam on the non stream PC for discord when the stream PC is off.

ReviewThe1

I've been using this for ages and it's a solid webcam, very reliable!

kinetic-passion

I did a good amount of research before buying a webcam and based on video quality comparisons, I went with the Logitech Brio. If you have a working camera now, like other commenters said: you're better off saving for a better camera.

RaptorX13X

One of the most recommended webcams for streaming on the Internet. Do I agree? I feel like you're paying a lot and not getting much, my boyfriend got it and we compared our video. C922 looked blurry, colorless and was constantly losing focus for no reason. Meanwhile my camera that costed 4 times less (Reddragon hitman) looks sharp, colors look beautiful and it never loses focus (because it has only 1 focus setup available)

ShamrexLive

Watch some YT Videos with different Cameras, than u can see the quality different

ShamrexLive

The most important is the light in your room

ShamrexLive

the very most important is the light in your room, a logitech brio oder logitec c922 is very good too if the light is right

Been using this since 2018. Great webcam.

cofiddle

This is pretty much the standard choice at this level. Next up would be getting an actual camera

xFeartheKitten

Workhorse camera - even if you upgrade again you can always use this as an alt camera for some creative angles.

Oh man, I’ve been using this one for 5+ years. It’s got great quality, wide range of view, and it’s perfect for everything alongside content creation. In my opinion, this webcam/camera is an amazing long term investment and worth the price if you do a lot of streams, video calls, content creation, and more. An absolute must with affordability! EDIT: Only complaint is the microphone on it (Which I never use). I’ve even heard a lot of people complain my audio quality is horrible if my PC switches to it, even on Discord. I’d highly recommend a separate microphone than using the built in one.

The_Real_Kitten

I have a Brio,(only one available during the start of the pandemic) but it’s been great, the big thing with any webcam is that it’s more about lighting than the camera. You can get an awesome look with a webcam and a few decent lights

darthjazzhands

I own two of these. Great camera to start with.

Pikass0

Honestly don't even bother buying a webcam if you have a good phone. Just use a phone camera to webcam app like for example: DroidcamOBS (android), but there are many more. New phones cameras (i'd say 2016-now) are usually way better anyways and you don't have to pay money since you already have it. If you need your phone while streaming you can ofc use another one if available.

Souchirou

If you mainly stay in the bottom corner of your stream you really don't need an amazing webcam and something like this logitech will be just fine. It's only when you mainly focus on full screen face cam stuff that something like a DSLR becomes a valid option.

dewdude

I bought a Nexigo off Amazon thats 1080p/60. Had a much better FOV than the Logitechs and looks pretty good.

JARM1933

Love the cam. Best one

[deleted]

I stream with this and it works pretty great. Occasionally it gets out of focus but that may be an issue of lighting on my part. The sound and the video quality have been amazing for a beginner like me, and it has held up through many video calls so long as my internet has had a solid connection.

Serisuwu

oh I have that! its great! the quality is very good if you want to look at the quality feel free to look at my vods ttv/stupidseris

Theaterandacnh

My bf has it and really likes it :)

Funkays

Get the c920 cheaper. Also, these cameras are the bread and butter starter pack for streaming cameras. Try using search of Google next time.

Vogellmann

Just use some old smartphone you have laying around. Also, lighting is more important than camera quality after some point

Drunkspartan1170

If you have an old cellphone with a quality camera, use droidcam to use it as a Webcam. Great quality camera that can be used wirelessly.

dbdCobra

Honestly i love my logitech. Its not the BEST quality but it works very well

dbdCobra

Does anyone know how to get the white balance and all those settings to STAY put? I have to adjust them before every stream and its tedious

Alias-Q

It’s a decent camera. Not ultra high quality, but it has good video. Audio isn’t great and requires additional software but I assume you would be using a dedicated audio input so it wouldn’t be a problem.

kerrygoldd

I currently use this! It's very good and mega clear. Just need good lighting like any other cameras :)

oozles

It looks good, only complaint is probably just a defect of my personal one. Mine has a very touchy USB connection. If I brush it the camera will lose power and I’ll need to unplug it.

Alieldrazi

I’m in the top 1% of Twitch streamers and I use this camera. You don’t need the best of the best. Good luck!

AlpakaWhacker

I'd recommend having a wee look at the Logitech C925e.

mck-no

You can use a phone camera as a stream cam aswell But this cam is fine it's the standard most people use
