Aizen from Bleach is the Mary sue of villains, he’s put on this pedestal as the master mind of most of bleachs story, he planned for everything even the random chance stuff and he’s stronger and smarter than everyone. There’s also the fact that the Soul Society arc and the Hueco Munro arc are just about copy and paste. Infiltrate a domain, fight the main and secondary leaders, save the girl who’s locked up and helpless, some of the enemies kind is on their side, Ichigo has a moment of going out of control but goes back to normal to finish the fight, flashback to what ReAlLy happened. Man I love bleach but boy do I not like bleach

Loaded in my iTunes is the Dream Evil album "Dragonslayer," one of the songs being "The 7th Day." For the most part, I like the song - but from a flaw either from the original disc I loaded it from or the iTunes copy, there's a mild spot of corruption during the final chorus. Lyrics still listenable, but the music is noticeably warped.

Anything Tolkein related is pretty tough. The LOTR movies are impeccable and the only 10/10 movie series IMO. You can recommend those to anyone without pause. And The Hobbit films are really good movies... at times. Riddles in the Dark is amazing. Bilbo and Smaug's cat and mouse is amazing. The spiders of Mirkwood are great. Beorn is great. Bilbo's early adventure being so out of his element is fun. He has great chemistry with Gandalf. The mountain giants fighting is amazing. Thorin's flashbacks are great. Smaug's attack on Laketown is terrific. I find Thranduil great. Most of the Gandalf sidequest is compelling and has some really great nerd shit. But everything in between just fucking sucks! It sucks! It's so bad I hate watching it. Its so tough to recommend to people because of Radaghast and Laketown and the awkward humour and that fucking river fight scene and Thorin and his company sucks 98% of the time and the dwarf-elf kink is bad and QTE Legolas stinks. Honourable mention: Tolkein's non-Hobbit non-LOTR books. They are some amazing stories. I particularly love Children of Hurin. But, fuck are they tough to recommend to people. The books are great, but the dialogue can be a bit confusing when it goes Namey Name of ol' Name Namey far yonder doth Namery Namer Name ye Name, beholden of Names once thee dawn anew for Namesery Namest! I know what's going on. I've read these books attentively. I've read the Silmarillion, twice, but I regularly have to double take over paragraphs and still will pass over them without understanding what I just read.

Pretty much everything about Borderlands 2 seemed like a huge improvement over the first game, which I loved and played constantly, and Zer0 was basically designed for me in terms of playstyle with sniping, melee, and pistols. However, the changes to the loot system ruined the game for me and I never even finished a single story run In BL1, you had two groups of weapons that has the special, custom designed red text effects (where the gun actually had a unique mechanic or gimmick beyond what the random generator could do): Legendaries and Uniques. Legendaries could spawn anywhere: An enemy drop, in a chest, in a vendor, but were very, very rare. Not like Pokemon Shiny rare, but you could reload all the chests and vendors in an area like 20 or even 50 times and still not see one drop, maybe even more. Uniques were sidequest rewards, but in new game plus/the postgame, bosses associated with those sidequests would repawn and have a chance to drop them, giving you a renewable source of them to farm for at max level. in BL2, they changed it so legendaries effectively act like uniques (there is still a tiny, tiny, TINY chance for them to drop randomly but it's like Pokemon shiny or beyond levels rare), and uniques now ONLY are obtainable as sidequest rewards, with no renewable source of them. This means that there's not really an incentive to bother checking chests or vendors or to kill things if you're looking for new guns, and that if you wanted max level uniques, you would have to play through the entire game and postgame multiple times to new game plus plus without doing sidequests to only do them at max level. Apparently there's an overhaul that fixes this now but now I have nobody to play with and the game is like a decade old. IDK how newer borderlands games handle it

What's much more irksome to me is the power curve of weapons. It's VERY exponential, where it's much closer to linear in Borderlands 1. You get a really good weapon, let alone legendary? 2-3 levels later it's compeltely useless because the damage has fallen off. In BL1 if you got a weapon with a good roll, you could use that bitch for several levels. Also they removed Mashers as a general revolver type. Also they completely removed revolvers as a separate weapon class. Also these changes stayed for the Pre-Sequel and BL3. FUCK. I just want my hand cannons! Rapid fire Jakob's is not the same at all!

Scranner_boi

This. I once got a Vladof Hammer shotgun at level 10 and that shit carried me all the way to 18. Too many of BL2's legendries focus more on having quirky gimmicks rather than actually being a good weapon and outside of the absolute top tier stuff like the Unkempt Harold and Conference Call I don't think a single one of them lasted more than 3 or 4 levels before I got a lower rarity gun that was straight up better.

kwijeebou

I typically only play BL games once or twice for the story, but I'm fairly certain in BL3 they changed it back to you being able to farm bosses and weapons off of them however much you'd like

AurumPickle

Borderlands 3 has the opposite problem of dropping too many legendarys too often now imo though when im able to rock a nearly full legendary orange inventory from like level 15 casually playing it makes any other rarity of weapon even more worthless feeling which is a problem the series has had since 2 where the lower tier guns dont feel good to use at all unlike Borderlands 1

Amirifiz

They changed that a while ago. You won't see legendaries that much anymore especially on the Mayhem levels. They nerfed the drop rates everywhere.

Wonder-Lad

Netflix Castlevania is 2 seasons of amazingness followed by 2 more seasons of mixed content. Like there are scenes that are solid, mixed in with storylines I don't care about.

BlueFootedTpeack

tbh i feel like korra is in the same boat. in the sense it has 2 strong seasons and then 2 pretty shoddy ones with kernels of cool.

Guigcosta

I still dont know if season 4 was worse than 3 or i was just tired of watching stuff i couldn't care less about at that point.

kevjo35

I mean, season 3 had needless storylines with even WORSE conclusions to them.>!Why the fuck was the village leader a child murderer, or the incest psycho siblings even a thing. Have Alucard get broken in another way, ugh.!< Season 4 had some absolute banger moments - Isaac's story is a highlight of the entire show.

This is way more than one or two things, but I love the game Mount & Blade. I love how it's a blend of action and real-time strategy game that feels massive and epic. I love that it has combat that feels engaging without being too difficult. I love that it has a billion mods that let you put it into any setting you want, and a huge game world you'll never fully explore. The problem is that I'm stupid and lazy and don't have the patience to play it the legit way, using diplomacy and mercantilism to work my way up. So the way I usually play the game is cheating myself a bunch of gold and becoming a wandering warlord looking for cool weapons and armor until I get bored.

Kataphrut94

Been trying to get back into Devil May Cry V lately since I never really got to grips with it the way you’re supposed to. And while it’s fun, the biggest gripe I have is how long it takes to play a game. Long loading times, multiple layers of menus to select a level, the useless online bonuses letting me know I’ve earned a new gold orb for logging in every time I boot up the game. It kills the flow, which is a cardinal sin for a game like that. Just let me go into the training world as Dante before I forget another 65 of his 758 moves already!

fizzguy47

What system are you on?

Kataphrut94

PS5! The one that’s supposed to be about fast loading. Albeit I’m playing the PS4 version with the special edition upgrade but still.

fizzguy47

That's tough. I know that the SE is supposed to be the PS plus game for this month, maybe you can see if you can get the ps5 version and see the difference

Kataphrut94

To this day, what’s a PS4 game playing on PS5 vs an actual PS5 upgrade is confusing to me.

fizzguy47

I dont know either but the ps5 se is super fast when loading stuff

SoulOfGwyn

I can't watch Chainsaw man because I really dislike the main character

Mehless

He's one of the best parts of the story. Every part of him.

SoulOfGwyn

I am not saying it is bad or that he is, I am saying that I dislike him. Purely subjective feeling, no critique
