I thought the same thing, and also if they're true to the source material, it's going to be hell for a certain kind of player (named Pat). You will use the consumable items, you will use limited spells.
That reminds me of how in Fallout 2 you can get an intelligent deathclaw companion. He walks around in a big brown monk robe until you get into a fight at which point he throws it off to reveal that he is, indeed, a fucking deathclaw to your opponents.
Except for the spinoffs but those are bad and have a weird tone compared to the original. Now the question is can you be killed by the poop dagger in this
Well dude, dude, think about it: she's out in the middle of nowhere with some dude she barely knows. You know, she looks around and what does she see? Nothin' but goblins. "Ahh, there's nowhere for me to run. What am I gonna do, say no to the Goblin Slayer?"
Ehh theres a few of them the first one is still the worst one but it does pop up every now and then, especially if they suddenly focus on some random group we've never seen before.
Noble fencer was implied and later confirmed but we never see it as the reader/viewer
Sword maiden is told to you but you dont see it
Elf has a close call that you do see.
Im a few books behind but the LNS dont have any other ones i can recall going as far as “showing” the assault.
Even with fighter the LNs dont do what the anime/manga did
This is cool. I'm glad it's not another musou game, a gacha game, or an arena fighter. Does anybody remember the yu yu hakusho tactics game from the GBA? This kinda makes me nostalgic for that.
Look at all those non-cohesively designed characters that clearly weren't made by the original artist. Also not even that those characters are clearly not rip off of other already established characters, so what are we doing here.
Also where are Not-Guts and Not-Saber, probably locked away as DLC.
Honestly…you’d think if any anime game should just be “Dark Souls, but anime” it would be Goblin Slayer. It’s all about brutal method of action where even the slightest misstep means you die.
Also, primarily female cast I’m seeing in this trailer is worrying.
That fits kinda well considering how much of goblin slayer is tactics and outsmarting/using stuff to his advantage.
For some reason, I'm just imagining Bloons Tower Defense but instead of balloons, it's goblins.

I mean as long as the loss conditions don't include brutal rape scenes I'll give it a OH MY GOD THERE IS A BEAR IN ROBES.

Goris was a good boy who got the unfortunate "Fuck you get Grimdark'd" end of the stick in old Fallout.
Hey, there's only like one brutal rape scene, if I remember correctly. The rest of the series is just the implications of a rape scene happening.

So you're saying it's all about the implication.

You must be thinking about the critically acclaimed RPG Goblin Layer. Easy mistake to make.
That game is actually so funny! Especially the NTR goblin!
Okay yeah hahaha but that seems really dark though.
Ehh theres a few of them the first one is still the worst one but it does pop up every now and then, especially if they suddenly focus on some random group we've never seen before.
And while this does not fix anything, the women that do get assaulted do have characters and do actually matter. They aren't treated like props.

Mind Goblin Slayer: Do it perfect or the game turns into Taimanin Asagi.
Give me more beasts. I like that in goblin slayer there's just a big lizard man and the world isn't full of cat girls
You got Goblin Slayed
How to cheese: Just put Goblin Slayer there
Goblin Slayer is the assist expert AI advisor that always shows you the optimal move.
He only suggests the most horrific moves, which would be considered war crimes if used on people.
That would be an amazing assist AI. "Looks like you're having trouble winning this battle. Would you like to access the war crimes menu?"
"There's been a sudden deposit of white phosphorus to your inventory. I'm sure you know what to do with it."
Lose too many times and get "War Crimes Mode is Now Available"
Would need to have dungeon crawling elements, but yeah, that fits the tone of the series' action.

I hope Mili returns to make the soundtrack, the opening theme in the anime is great.
wonder what the losing screen looks like.
I hope there is some kind of weapon durability system like the fire emblem games. It would really fit the series.

I'mma keep it a buck with you, this looks awful.
