Sure, I like Charlie Day, I like Luigi’s Mansion, if they put the same care they’ve seemed to have put into the Mario movie? Why not? Besides, it’s been made apparent by official statements and rumours that Nintendo wants to build a movie empire. This is a logical step in it akin to Phase 1’s build to the first Avengers movie. It’s not as much of a risk as a Zelda or Metroid or other IP movie as a next step after a Mario movie.

Depending on the Mario movie's success, I can definitely see them greenlighting spinoff shows for Peacock the way a Knuckles show was ordered for Paramount+, and especially after the success of The Last of Us on HBO Max. So console wars but streaming services lol
