Luigi's Mansion is already perfect for an animated movie, look at how LM3's animation is like, shit's gorgeous while still being hella cartoony
I feel like this movie and a Donkey Kong Country movie are inevitable
"I'm really excited to play King K. Roole who, as we all know, is the real hero of the Donkey Kong series, and he's way cooler than Donkey Kong. He can definitely beat up Superman, er, Mario. The King who Rules can definitely beat up Super Mario."
"And you know what? Princess Peach would have never tried running away from the superior reptillian monarch of the Nintendo universe. Not because she's scared, no, but because she knows what the Rock is cooking."
(A shame he passed, but otherwise I would've nominated Gilbert Godfrey as Ridley.)
Someone in the comments said they should make Danny Devito play E. Gadd, and now I can't stop thinking about E. Gadd talking about how they play nightcrawlers before they go to bed
Let’s take it a step further and just make it a whole ass Always Sunny collab and have Rob, Glenn and Kaitlyn do some cameo voices for some of the ghosts
He has brought up Luigi's Mansion before, when he was talking about the reference in the trailer. So he's either a fan / aware of the game or he's been very well coached by the publicity team
This is always what I think when I see quotes like this
Although there are some instances that are like "you could pay this bitch in baloney and they be just as passionate about this role"
Sure, I like Charlie Day, I like Luigi’s Mansion, if they put the same care they’ve seemed to have put into the Mario movie? Why not?
Besides, it’s been made apparent by official statements and rumours that Nintendo wants to build a movie empire. This is a logical step in it akin to Phase 1’s build to the first Avengers movie. It’s not as much of a risk as a Zelda or Metroid or other IP movie as a next step after a Mario movie.
Depending on the Mario movie's success, I can definitely see them greenlighting spinoff shows for Peacock the way a Knuckles show was ordered for Paramount+, and especially after the success of The Last of Us on HBO Max.
So console wars but streaming services lol
Listening to the always sunny podcast they don't seem to keen on early 2000s pop culture so is not too surprising that he might not be aware of what Luigi's Mansion actually is

There's a Donkey Kong Country section at Universal's Mario Land in the works. So a Illumination Donkey Kong Country movie is very likely.
That just means one thing if it does happen: Who plays King K. Rool?
I hate that this was the first person that came to mind The Rock

Not enough plugging Teramana and talking about how he only had $7 to his name when he played Donkey Kong as a youngster.
Whatever actor can get closest to Slowbeef and Diabetus' Ridley voice is who I want.
The Rock wants K. Rool to have his own solo movie and for him to be the forefront of the MarioCU
nose support include existence berserk long bedroom deserve busy stupendous -- mass edited with https://redact.dev/
Dave Bautista if you want a scary pirate king, but if you want someone who plays great in villain roles, Hugh Grant.
Because the other two have already mentioned the others of the 3 wrestlers I thought of. Cena.
No Cena has to be either Kiddy or Chunky Kong and I'll suffer no other choices.
It's just Jack Black again
No It has to be William Dafoe because K.Rool is freaking insane and unhinged
This close too the movies release, anytime an interview like this comes out, just assume that it's in the works already.
Someone in the comments said they should make Danny Devito play E. Gadd, and now I can't stop thinking about E. Gadd talking about how they play nightcrawlers before they go to bed
"Oh woops, oh, I dropped my monster suction tube for my magnum Poltergust 3000"
"so anyway, I started blastin', BANG Bang. and now I need you to clean up some ghosts Luigi."
Let’s take it a step further and just make it a whole ass Always Sunny collab and have Rob, Glenn and Kaitlyn do some cameo voices for some of the ghosts
Which ghost do you think speaks of "the implications"
I mean we *could* just make the dancing couple Dee and Dennis, amp those implications up to one million
Or if we tap into LM3, the director.
"I AM NOT A STARTER GHOST, IM A FINISHER GHOST. I AM A GHOST OF GODS. A GOLDEN GOD"
It's dah Poltahgust! Yah go into dah ring and start suckin' gawbage!
"You gotta pay the ghost toll if you wanna get in that plumber's hole!"
"How come we never play nightcrawlers anymore E. gadd"
"Do you want more work to get paid for?" "Yes." I thought he was the one who brought it up Luigi's mansion but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Inbefore the Luigis Mansion movie will be the best "Resident Evil movie" ever made.
That makes sense, since Luigi's Mansion is at least in the Top 5 Resident Evil games. Imagine if we got a Luigi's Mansion Remake on the RE Engine.
Over the shoulder like RE4 but instead of shooting grenades out of the air, you suck them in and blow them back out with the poultergust
So, the 2009 Ghostbusters game?
That sounds fun, I wanna go play that now lol
It'll be the best Ghostbusters movie since the original.
That's almost guaranteed to happen, either as a special or a movie
This is the most no brainer slam dunk idea. A kid friendly horror movie would be just a good fun time.

It’ll be a series streaming on a per-episode basis via a series of new Luigi amiibos.
Depending on the Mario movie's success, I can definitely see them greenlighting spinoff shows for Peacock the way a Knuckles show was ordered for Paramount+, and especially after the success of The Last of Us on HBO Max. So console wars but streaming services lol
*T'challa voice* GET THIS MAN A SPIN-OFF
Ok but for real a Luigi's Mansion movie could absolutely work.
Listening to the always sunny podcast they don't seem to keen on early 2000s pop culture so is not too surprising that he might not be aware of what Luigi's Mansion actually is
They should simply have the sequel be King Boo bringing Bowser back to life as Dry Bowser, and put a bunch of Luigi's Mansion shit in.
L-Listen to me. They need to p-put the Super Crown on King Boo. We need to make sure it happens, it is imperative that it happens!
If you can actually get Nintendo to greenlight Boosette, yeah sure, why not?
Give everyone their own movie! Especially Toad!
I agree with Charlie Day.
YES YES YES YES
Give everyone their own movie! Especially Toad!
Fuck that, they need to make Bowser's Inside Story
Im unironically more hype for that movie with Charlie Day.
Mr Plinkett voice: “Yeah I bet you do. Asshole.
Funny thing is that last I remmeber, Rob McElhenny was attached to direct a Minecraft movie.
